Both the training and the actual initial attempt make great use of Karen Gillan's physical comedy skills - and of course, Creator/JackBlack has to teach her, so he's flipping his hair and pouting a lot too.

* In detention, Spencer speaks to Martha but before he gets to the point of what he wants to say, he says that was watching but also adds that he wasn’t watching her in a weird way. Fridge has a ‘yikes!’ expression on her face when he overhears this

* The group being confused by Alex's 90s jargon.

* Bethany having a video-chat with her friend, ''during a school quiz''. Naturally, [[RealityEnsues it earns her detention]].

** Immediately after this, once the jewel is recovered and the level ends, everyone congratulates Alex (Seaplane)and Spencer (Bravestone) for their flying skills and bravery, respectively. While Martha and Bethany gush over them, Fridge stands off to the side giving them a "what the hell?" look because no one mentions cares that he had been sacrificed.
