* The whole conflict started because of Homer thoughtlessly and carefully polluting the environment. Within his epiphany, he's tortured ''by'' the environment (a forest unlike the lake) before he fully has his JerkassRealization.

* Dr. Hibbert's line about hospital generators giving up, thus resulting in people dying, just makes you wonder how many lives were lost due to Mr. Burns being greedy...

!![[AC:FridgeLogic]]
* This movie employs the use of {{Hammerspace}} so much. Marge was the only family member to go back for something, which was her wedding video. Everyone else fled with nothing but the clothes they were wearing. Yet somehow, they apparently had snow clothes, Bart's slingshot, and Lisa's saxophone with them, and that's just the start of it!

** Similarly, what were the other four options to blowing up Springfield? Though they might not have been as bad since Cargill manipulated the president into picking that one.

* Imagine if Homer's stupidity didn't get the town trapped under a giant dome. The Simpsons escaped the angry mob and the dome through a sinkhole which up until that point was a separate thing. If Homer didn't contaminate the lake, the family wouldn't have any reason to escape but the house would've been swallowed by the sinkhole all the same and since it happened at night when they would be at home, they might have died or gotten injured when the sinkhole became too big. Homer certainly put Springfield and the environment through a lot of trouble but it ended up saving his family.

* The carelessness of the Springfield police officers about Bart's safety. Yeah, [[PoliceAreUseless they have already been depicted to be corrupt and ineffective in the show]], but the movie takes their stupidity and lack of sense to another level when they come to pick up Bart for going naked to the streets with his skateboard. After Lou handcuffs Bart to a pole, they leave him with Nelson to eat their lunch. While they eat their hamburgers, it couldn't be that maybe Nelson [[DirtyKid takes advantage of their absence to touch Bart improperly?]] Or even worse, if Nelson leaves, [[PaedoHunt what could happen if a pedophile happens to be near and harasses the defenseless Bart?]]

We never see them before that, either. There's no reason we would expect to see them again

* When the Simpsons are on their way to Alaska, they stop by a gas station and there's a wanted poster of them. Bart quickly doodles on the poster to make them unrecognizable, but a moment later, [[IdenticalStranger another family that looks like Bart's drawings]] come along and are arrested. We never see the other family again...

* What were the other four options on what to do with Springfield, other than being sealed in a dome? All Cargill was able to say before Schwarzenegger picked one was that they would each "cause untold misery".

* Homer would likely have been mauled or possibly even killed by the polar bear if the Medicine Woman had not come across him at the moment she did, considering he was unconscious. What makes this worse is that the rest of the family would not have found out about this until it was much, much too late. And that's if they ever found out at all!
** Even worse, he could have frozen to death in the cold (he wasn't exactly wearing the warmest clothing, just his usual attire with a coat over it), or fallen in the water and drowned while he was unconscious. Either way, not a nice way to go. It's a damn good thing he washed up at that spot where the Medicine Woman was, while she was there...

* Homer's emergency plan to move the whole family to Alaska seems like something that came completely out of the blue and was made up for the movie. However, the episode "[[Recap/TheSimpsonsS6E9HomerBadman Homer Badman]]" had Homer suggest that they move under the sea once it became clear their reputation in Springfield was tarnished forever. It would appear he (eventually) realized how infeasible that was, and made some revisions.

* When Homer needed to find a way to climb the Glass Dome, he goes into a shed and the audience see a Jetpack, but Homer went with the Super Glue. This very well could be Homer being an idiot of course and it looks like it is, but what are the possibilities of Homer actually knowing how to use the Jetpack? in his mind, The Super Glue was the safest option for him because it was more practical for him and sure enough it worked.

It could very well just be a "Dumb Homer" joke so if it is, feel free to erase.
