Expanded on some points.

Added DiffLines:

** The universe doesn't just bend to her desires, it also conforms itself to her ''expectations''. If Haruhi expects to be asked out, then that is what will happen, even if it turns out that the boy is more boring than she expected, or can't keep up with her energy.

If Haruhi no longer believes in aliens, time travellers or psychics, because the SOS bridge have kept them from her successfully, would she end up erasing them

** The ''other'' Humanoid Interface that also exists during Endless Eight, Emiri Kimidori. As she is created by the Data Overmind just like Yuki is, it's highly probable that she also endured Endless Eight with full memory and knows what caused it. Did it leave any impact on her as it did to Yuki? Does her AllpowerfulBystander display conceal anything else?

* Haruhi's RealityWarper powers are partly triggered by her subconscious beliefs. If the rest of the SOS crew [[GoneHorriblyRight do their jobs too well]] and stop her from learning about supernatural phenomena entirely, she might end up wishing them out of existence, no longer believing in psychic powers, time travellers, or aliens, and subconsciously undoing their reasons to be.

** In an extra sense in the light novels: when she decides the SOS club needs to recruit she somehow managed to get a cute, smart, athletic, incredibly cheerful and eager to please girl who's desperate to get in because the SOS is the embodiment of everything she's spent her life wishing for. It eventually becomes clear that while this girl exists partly to fulfill Haruhi's desire to have present a MarySue character echoing her personal philosophy, in a sense ''Haruhi'' exists in the same book to demonstrate just how much happier and better socialized she would have been had she just been firmly convinced of being the protagonist in a story written by an all-powerful author, with the purpose of the universe being to cheer and entertain her, rather than spending her life dedicated to seizing happiness and meaning by force. The new girl doesn't need God Mode only because Haruhi's covering it for her.

Added DiffLines:

** In the light novels, it's even worse because it turns out Haruhi is ''very'' attached to the EyeBeams trope and while after the first time everybody is conspiring to stop a repeat Haruhi keeps sneaking in new colored contacts to stealthily jam in Mikuru's eye, and by Haruhi-logic different colors should do different things. The second contact still almost killed Kyon because while Yuki had ensured there wouldn't be another laser, she hadn't expected the new (and worse) weapon type and had to tackle Asahina to stop it. By the fourth, everybody's pretty sick of it and trying to find her stash. (The guns are also getting more dangerous. And by the end of that particular round of filming (this movie intended to be the first of a very long series of films) the Earth's orbit is a little off.)

* Yuki and Ryoko's actions in Disappearance didn't make as much sense as they should have. Yuki was bored and upset and angry and tore apart reality out of vengeance. But why did she give Kyon the keys back to his reality? And why did Ryoko still stab Kyon? But if you look at them as complex programs, rather than humans, it makes sense. Yuki is hard-coded to be a servant and an observer--but she is able to change who she serves and observes. It's also probably possible that they can re-hard-code themselves (or that the radical faction gave their interfaces this ability)--Ryoko [[spoiler:remembers the alternate timeline]]. Given her determination to kill Kyon during the first murder attempt combined with her seeming lack of emotion, it's perfectly possible that she re-wrote herself to kill Kyon at all costs (though the reason why might be irrelevant to her coding). Therefore, given her own existence and Kyon's presence, she's gonna go for it. This also explains why she didn't try to murder him at school 'later that day'--she had already done so, so [[InsaneTrollLogic there was no longer a need to kill him again]].

* So on the Tanabata that started everything, Haruhi drew a large patch of symbols on the school blacktop because she was [[IJustWantToBeSpecial really,]] [[IJustWantToHaveFriends really,]] [[DesperatelyLookingForAPurposeInLife bored.]] These symbols, along with the awakening of Haruhi's powers (both happening at around the same time), drew the attention of various aliens, time travelers, espers and about a million other things that we don't know about. Haruhi drew those symbols with the goal of alerting all the strange and interesting things in the universe that "I am here", much like how a person stranded on a deserted island would try to get the attention of passing ships and planes. [[spoiler: If you watch the anime or read the manga, earlier in ''Sigh'' - he is beyond not smiling and legitimately worried when he catches Kyon's arm to prevent Kyon from punching Haruhi. * The SOS brigade symbol is a recreation of the drawing the Haruhi made 3 years ago. The symbol that brought the attention of a Data Lifeform was stated to be "an explosion of unmeasured amounts of data from a parallel world", according to Nagito. It's a ''literal'' SOS this time, like the drawing that Haruhi made!

* In the English version, Stephanie She's portrayal of Mikuru can seem like going overboard with the cute, shy girl thing. But if you watch the Japanese version, you'll realize Mikuru's voice is supposed to be annoyingly cute as part of her being a parody of {{Moe}} characters in anime. A lot of characters are intentionally annoying; skilled authors will hide this fact well. The hope is that you'll associate them with someone you don't like and thus make the world of the show more alive for you. I don't think anyone will argue there's a shortage of those people. Upon realization of this fact, [[TheScrappy scrappy characters]] gain a little respect. They're there for a reason, and taking them away will destroy a large part of the show. [[CreatorsPet It's still on the creator not to overdo it, however.]]
