* The reason that it and the preceding movie was released alongside ''Film/{{Logan}}'' on Creator/DisneyPlus was that this movie spoils its ending in the very first scene.

* Deadpool's desire to make X-Force as a "gender-neutral alternative" to the implied patriarchy of a team called the X-''Men'' seems like HypocriticalHumor on his part, considering Domino is [[TheSmurfettePrinciple the only female member to sign up.]] [[spoiler: Then all the other members are killed and the X-Men members who show up at the climax (Colossus, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Yukio) to help Deadpool, Cable, and Domino ends up balancing out the gender ratio, serving as an even better example of the diverse superhero team Deadpool was aiming for.]]

* In the beginning of the film, Deadpool references [[Film/BatmanVSupermanDawnOfJustice Batman v Superman]], specifically that he was "fighting a caped badass. But then we discovered his mom is named Martha, too". Later in the film, in his first exchange with Cable, he quotes "I'm Batman". So Wade = Batman, Cable = Superman, and they both fight each other throughout most of the film but team up in the end to take down a bigger, unstoppable threat. [[spoiler: Also, one of them ends up dying and the other [[Film/JusticeLeague2017 brings them back to life, although it doesn't take them a whole other movie to do it]].]]

* It's no wonder why Wade is such a big fan of Juggernaut; [[TalkingToHimself they're both played by]] Creator/RyanReynolds. [[spoiler: Film/GreenLantern2011 [[OldShame isn't so lucky]].]]

** Dopinder has been spending the entire movie wishing to make his bones as a contract killer, and [[spoiler: he got his wish - his first kill - in the end, and on someone who actually deserved it.]]
** The Headmaster also doesn't [[spoiler: get the satisfaction of dying as a martyr for the anti-mutant cause. He was killed in a completely mundane way, by a completely mundane human]].
* The ''{{WesternAnimation/Frozen|2013}}'' reference makes an awful lot of sense. Wade resolves Cable's problem with Russell by [[spoiler: TakingTheBullet for the kid. In ''Frozen'', Anna resolves the conflict by stepping in between Hans' blade and Elsa. A ''suicidal'' Elsa, who thought she had accidentally killed Anna, the one person she loves more than anything.]] Furthermore, much of the strife between Elsa and Anna in the movie is because Elsa pushed Anna away, believing that she's a super-powered DoomMagnet - which is exactly what Wade does to Russell. Plus, Elsa is AnIcePerson, and Russell is PlayingWithFire: both are elemental powers.
* After Wade gets [[spoiler: ripped in half by Juggernaut,]] he fixes his costume with duct tape. It might seem odd that he doesn't have a spare costume for situations like this, especially given his power set... until you remember that he was in full costume when he was arrested earlier in the film, and there was no scene of him retrieving it after escaping the Ice Box. So the most likely explanation is that he ''did'' in fact have a spare, and he's simply been wearing that after escaping rather than going through the extra effort to regain his old suit. He also did blow up his own apartment, so any spare suits may not have survived.
* It's no fluke that Bedlam is the first X-Force member shown descending via parachute and into trouble. [[spoiler: If he ''hadn't'' gotten creamed first, his EMP powers could've instantly shorted out the helicopter, power lines and wood chipper when he noticed his companions were descending into danger, thus denying us the RunningGag of all the ''other'' male X-Force recruits meeting really nasty deaths.]]

* [[spoiler: Did they just leave the motherfucking Juggernaut alive and free to roam around, with his helmet on so that Charles can't just pull off a psychic attack on him?]]
** [[spoiler: They thought he was dead and there's a good chance after what he's been subjected to, even he would need time to recover, enough for the X-men to find out and prepare for the next battle.]]
* [[spoiler: Deadpool killing Creator/RyanReynolds before shooting ''Film/GreenLantern2011'' means Reynolds never gets to meet and marry Creator/BlakeLively, which also means Reynolds and Lively's children are never born.]]
** [[spoiler: Killing Creator/RyanReynolds in the past has far more consequence than that. It would in truth mean that the first ''Film/Deadpool2016'' movie wouldn't exist, and that this film would also be written out of existence. [[RuleOfFunny Joking aside, that scene is intended as a joke,]] [[MST3KMantra so don't take it too seriously.]]]]

*** Which becomes HilariousInHindsight due to the fact that [[spoiler: Fox was bought out by Disney soon after this film was made, meaning that all future X-Men films (including the ''Deadpool'' franchise) would be a part of the Franchise/MarvelCinematicUniverse. In order for the [=MCU=] incarnation of Deadpool to be born, the Fox-Men one had to die.]]

It's played for laughs but considering how long it took for just his hand to grow back in the first movie, one can only imagine [[AndIMustScream how long his severed head lied on the ground in agony and unable to do anything until enough of his body grew back.]]

* Dopinder, who is a cab driver, wants to be part of the X-Force, and says that his superpower is "courage". He later runs over the [[HateSink Headmaster]] with his [[StealthPun car]]. It also happens right after Deadpool says that [[MultipleReferencePun Karma]] will take care of the Headmaster.

** Perhaps not that many people died since she has luck powers and is acting as a hero sort of. Anyone who should not die likey ''just'' avoided death since many people dying would cause trouble.

* The collars that inhibit Mutant powers. The very kind of things that were seen in the BadFuture in ''Film/XMenDaysOfFuturePast''. It means parts of such a future are ''still happening'' despite the [[MakeRightWhatOnceWentWrong changes to the past]] that led to the current timeline. It's only used on Mutants who became criminals... so far. Essex's plans are probably not stopping there, even though they haven't gone as far as Trask Industries and their Sentinels.

* The collars that inhibit Mutant powers. The very kind of things that were seen in the BadFuture in ''Film/XMenDaysOfFuturePast''. It means parts of such a future are ''still happening'' despite the [[RetCon changes to the past]] that led to the current timeline. It's only used on Mutants who became criminals... yet. Essex's plans are probably not stopping there, even though they haven't gone as far as Trask Industries and their Sentinels.
* While in the Icebox with their powers negated, Wade says he'll die of cancer and Russell will "win an award for softest lips." It's also heavily, heavily implied the employees at the Essex facility sexually abuse the children there.

* [[spoiler: Did they just let the motherfucking Juggernaut alive and free to roam around, with his helmet on so that Charles can't just pull off a psychic attack on him?]]

** Perhaps they could just walk out the door?

** Perhaps not that many people died she has luck powers and is being a hero sort of. Anyone who should not die likey just avoided death since many people dying would cause trouble.

* The shot of [[spoiler:Deadpool's vestigial regenerating penis]]. To put into context, the [[spoiler:regenerating body parts of his]] are referred to as "child-like", which basically makes it [[spoiler:child pornography]].
** Not every instance of visible genitalia makes something pornography though. Especially not in a scene as absurd as ''that''.

** Ultimate X-Men has the answer. It could be that he's a mutant...who ALSO found the Gem of Cytorak, thereby giving him DOUBLE super strength. Explains why he's THIS awesome.

* What is Essex planning? In ''Fiolm/XMenApocalypse'', he sent men to collect DNA samples of Wolverine and now is backing the abuse, torment, and seemingly the experimentation of young mutant children? One can only shudder. Is it something similar to what [[Film/{{Logan}} Transigen did]] or worse?
