Replacing Hook as the antagonist is Captain Blackbeard himself, portrayed by Creator/HughJackman. The film co-stars Levi Miller as Peter, Creator/RooneyMara, Creator/GarrettHedlund and Creator/AmandaSeyfried.

** James Hook is portayed as a dashing, goodhearted hero who quickly becomes close friends with Peter. The worst that he ever does is repeatedly trying to leave Neverland, to escape Captain Blackbeard. Even then he always tries to convince Peter and Tiger Lily to come with him.
