* DeathBySex:

* ItsAllAboutMe: The Mosley parents define everything by how it benefits Chaz Junior, showing no interest in what Ned wants to do with his life.

* OverlyLongGag: One character spends a long time complaining about how he's being devoured by zombies and not dying. Another character lampshades it asking "Why are we still watching" (without stopping watching, of course).

* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: Ned reveals he intentionally turned himself into a zombie in order to escape the pressure from his parents to get good notes in school, which is analogous with taking drugs.

* RomanticVampireBoy: Gender-flipped version with Petra, who is in love with the main protagonist Dag.

A 2015 comedy horror movie directed by Robert Pickering, it revolves around Dag Parker (played by Nicholas Braun), a human teenager that lives on the small town of Dillford which has a dark secret: vampires and zombies live alongside its townspeople. They lived in a very delicate, but peaceful harmony up until the day that an invasion happens throwing the town off the balance. Now its every man for himself, with vampires and zombies preying on the others while the aliens are indiscriminately abducting everyone they find. Now its up to Dag and his other two monstrous friends, the zombie Ned (Josh Fadem) and the vampire Petra (Creator/MackenzieDavis), to find a way to unite the three people from killing each other and stand together with the alien threat.

The movie was released by Colombia Pictures in a very limited release and yet boasts some impressive star power such as Creator/DenisLeary, Creator/PattonOswalt, Music/VanessaHudgens, Creator/JoanCusack, Creator/MaeWhitman and ''Creator/WernerHerzog'' who provides the aliens' voice.

* ArtisticLicenseChemistry: Ammonia (for conserving the riblets or whatnot) is a gas. So let's assume it's a watery ammonia solution (or very cold liquid ammonia) that turns to be out to be the aliens weakness. In either case, spraying the stuff liberally like in the film would make the air become unhealthy very fast...(Everyone in the room would be overcome and killed in short order. There's a reason the ammonia hose job has been monopolised by zombie labor.) And don't even let's start on the tetrafluorothingamajig.

* MonsterMash: Vampires and zombies coexist with humans in the same town and they are attacked by aliens. Its also revealed that [[spoiler:werewolves do exist and Dag's family is the only known one]].

* TheWorldsExpertOnGettingKilled: Dag and Lorelei are momentarily saved by a vampire hunter that disposes them from attacking vampires in rapid succession. And then he gets devoured and torn apart by zombies.

** Some vampires resemble the ones depicted in ''Film/ThirtyDaysOfNight'' with sharp teeth and black eyes.

* AliensAreBastards: The aliens are the main villains of the movie. [[spoiler:While their motive veers into BlueAndOrangeMorality and they aren't truly malevolent, Dillford's townsfolk isn't impressed with the explanation of their motives and tells them to screw off, making the aliens aggressive towards them]].
* AliensOfLondon: They speak with a noticeable German accent which is lampshaded by the characters. Given that they are voiced by Werner Herzog.

* BlueAndOrangeMorality: [[spoiler:It turns out that the aliens aren't really evil or want to wipe out the town, they want the veggie riblets for their meal and the reason why they abduct Dillford's citizens is to keep them from causing destruction by keeping them inside a special prison until they can find what they want]].

* CrazySurvivalist: Patton Oswalt and Denis Leary's characters in a nutshell. The former is under the belief that a vampire invasion is about to happen anytime only for ''an alien'' invasion to happen, while the latter lives in a closed off complex that creates the veggie riblets which the aliens are after.

* DeadStarWalking: Stuart Miller played by Patton Oswalt lasts all but one scene before he gets devoured by Dag's friends. [[spoiler:Lorelei played by Vanessa Hughens]] seemingly goes the same route too, but she is turned into a vampire instead and survives.

* FanDisservice: Turns out the aliens can only detect inorganic matter such as clothing, meaning the heroes have to strip completely in order to get past them, which means even Ned the zombie has to get naked. Yeah...

* GagPenis: Ned the zombie. (Possibly. We only have his own words on the issue.)
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: A bit YMMV, but riblet factory owner Rick Wilson gets convinced to give the aliens what they want. (At least it was the right thing to do at the moment - that it all goes south again minutes later isn't his fault.)

* TownWithADarkSecret: Supernatural undead creatures live alongside humans in Dillford with the vampires in the top, zombies at the bottom and humans right in the middle. They seem to get along well enough up until the invasion takes place.
