* JacobMarleyApparel: Used somewhat inconsistently. The Skull Face killer actually ''wasn't'' wearing his skull mask when he was killed, but the undead version is, and he also has a bullet wound in his head and even looks like a corpse. By contrast, the Camp Nightwing killer doesn't have any of the wounds he had as a human, and since his mask is never pulled off we don't know if he looks dead or alive. Ruby Lane, meanwhile, still has slashed wrists and looks alive, and does seem to be dressed the same way she was when she died. She's also the only one to talk (or sing as the case may be). As to the other killers, we don't know enough about the specifics of their deaths to know how their undead appearance matches how they looked when they died.

Red and Sunnyvale are explicitly referred to as the "Good" side, leaving blue Shadyside as the "Evil." ** In the films, Ohio is not in it's normal location but in fact geographically where New Jersey is. This is shown in the opening sequence which uses a colonial map of New Jersey to show historical Shadyside and Sunnyside (Located near realworld Chatsworth, NJ.) This is because a frequent point of contention amongst fans of the books was that Ohio had no European Settlers in 1666. In fact European Settlement didn't even begin until 1745, and the town of Shadyside wasn't founded until 1879. As such, in order to keep the settling, Ohio was pushed to the East Coast which had been extensivly coloniezed by 1666.
