* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Near the end of ''Terrifier,'' a couple of tools fall off of Art's makeshift whip. The costume designer grabs them and [[spoiler:[[Main/EyeScream stabs him in the eye]] with one, and through the back with the other.]]

* {{Sadist}}: Art the Clown, full stop. Unlike most slashers, he doesn't just kill his victims. He revels in their suffering.
