* Subverted by Taiyo in ''Manga/MissionYozakuraFamily.'' Despite having the outward appearance of a StockShonenHero, including deep red hair, IdiotHair, and a scar running across one eye, he's meek and shy until he's pushed. Even after a confidence boost from a month of TrainingFromHell to obtain CharlesAtlasSuperpowers, he's still fairly dour and even-tempered unless Mutsumi is in danger, after which he drops everything to kick the ass of anyone who'd put her in danger.

* Subverted with Rias Gremory of ''LightNovel/HighSchoolDXD''. Normally, she's overall rather rather level-headed and seldom raises her voice even when she's serious. She does, however, bring this out [[ClingyJealousGirl when it comes with Issei]], but even then she does grow out of it to an extent later in the series.

* The titular character from ''Anime/AggressiveRetsuko'' is a red panda office lady who keeps a cute and proper appearance but secretl ''seethes'' with anger, and in the original shorts, it doesn't take much to set her off. Even her name literally means "fiery child".

* Vixen from ''Manga/TheVoynichHotel'' tries not to be this. She fails miserably and hilariously.

** Flannery, on the other hand, does use Fire-types. Both typecasting and hotheadedness worked to her detriment in the [[Manga/PokemonSpecial manga]] back at Mt. Chimney, but she puts up a fight while stalling Kyogre later on.

* Ruki Makino from ''Anime/DigimonTamers'' started as an [[ArrogantKungFuGuy Arrogant Kung Fu Girl]], and through all the series she remained as a Tomboy ActionGirl always willing to fight.

* Stella Vermillion from ''LightNovel/ChivalryOfAFailedKnight'' is a [[HotBlooded emotional, passionate and hot-headed]] redheaded ActionGirl, with a HairTriggerTemper and even [[PlayingWithFire pyrokinetic powers]] that have the side-effect of allowing her to become BurningWithAnger. She '''initially''' seems like she'd dial the trope further up by being a {{Tsundere}}, but the ''tsuntsun'' side practically vanishes after Ikki confesses to her, making her more or less 100% sweet and affectionate to him from then on.
