* SpiritualSuccessor: To the fanfiction ''[[https://fimfetch.net/story/1010656126/the-mane-six-goes-disney The Mane Six goes Disney]]''. Like that fanfiction, ''The Disney Chronicles'' follows the adventures of the Mane 6 after they discover the Book of Disney and venture into the worlds of Disney's most famous stories. However, this series expands upon the premise by turning each chapter of the former into a fully-fledged story. Each story also features one or more [[GuestStarPartyMember Guest-Star Party Members]] who join the Mane 6 and Spike based on each story's main themes (i.e., DJ Pon-3 and Octavia in the musical worlds of Fantasia, etc.). In addition, ''The Mane Six goes Disney'' featured a few stories that were once technically Non-Disney, and ''The Disney Chronicles'' primarily sticks to the films from the Disney Animated Canon (at least, so far).

** While the ponies and Spike initially end up doing battle against the t. rex in [[WesternAnimation/{{Fantasia}} the Rite of Spring segment]] and Fluttershy, in particular, ends up proving especially desperate to keep trying to help the stegosaurus (whom they've formed a close friendship with here) even after the t. rex has beaten them all up badly enough to force them to retreat, the t. rex still successfully defeats and kills the poor stegosaurus. Similarly, despite the ponies, Spike, and Jiminy Cricket's best efforts, all but six live baby dinosaurs and a single unhatched abandoned egg end up still dying in the extinction sequence.
