* CarryABigStick: Bell takes up a Kirkhammer before his rematch with the Silverback, but finds it too unwieldy to use against such a speedy foe. Gehrman remedies this by revealing its function as a Trick Weapon, allowing Bell to pull out a much lighter sword to do the beast in. Bell does use the hammer to smash the Silverback's leg and arm first.

An Axe To Grind is no longer a trope

* AnAxeToGrind: Gascoigne's preferred weapon is a Hunter Axe, a Trick Weapon designed to function as both a single-handed chopping axe and a two-handed halberd. He chops off Bell's head with it in their first encounter, but Bell [[HoistByHisOwnPetard uses it to do him in in their third battle.]]

* {{Bishonen}}: Bell is noted to have a soft, innocent face that marks him as out of place in Yharnam, with other Hunters noting how young he is. The only reason why it stays that way is because of the Old Blood healing his wounds.
