* "[[VideoGame/{{Bayonetta}} Bayonetta]]" - Story Teaser: Echoes of the Heart video which showcases the backstory of Guizhong, Madame Ping, and Cloud Retainer featured them in their heyday more than 3700 years ago. Cloud Retainer in particular, surprised everyone in her human form, as she bears a striking resemblance to Bayonetta due to her tall frame, high ponytail and glasses. As such, fans started to refer to her as Bayonetta due to the resemblance.

** "Chevrolet", "Chevy" - Chevreuse's name has been compared to that of a French car manufacturer. The nickname spread because Chevreuse's name is rather difficult to spell or pronounce for an Anglophone audience.

** "Box Cat" - Another nickname similar to the one above. This time named after the fact that her special sprint animation consists of Kirara transforming into a cat wearing a giant box.

** “The Perfected Lord that Goes Boing Boing Boom“ or "蹦蹦炸弹真君"- the CN fandom's nickname for Klee as her CN voiceline for "Boing, boing boom" fits the 4 character structure of the full names of the Adepti (specifically the Zhenjun like Cloud Retainer and Moon Carver).
** "The Adorable Arsonist" - because she's cute and her bombs set anything flammable on fire.

** "Chika" - Fans noted that Kokomi bears a striking resemblance to Chika Fujiwara from ''Manga/KaguyaSamaLoveIsWar'', right down to having similar personalities, facial expressions, pink hair of the same style and blue eyes. Because of this, fans like to photoshop Kokomi wearing Chika's signature black forehead ribbon to drive the resemblance home.
** "Kokofish" - Due to her mermaid aesthetic and her relationship with aquatic life, this has been one of Kokomi's most common nicknames. Expect a lot of edits putting Kokomi's face on a body of a fish to further drive home that idea.

** "Ayaya" - Derived from both an older meme from an Anime called ''Manga/KiniroMosaic'', as well as one of Hu Tao's low health voice lines. A short clip reenacting the scene in question with Ayaka and Hu Tao became popular enough that the nickname stuck.

** "Cryo Amber" - She's also referred to (snarkily) as the Cryo version of Amber due to their similar playstyles (archers with a DrawAggro skill and zone-of-raining-death burst attack).

*** "Ganuke" - Another play-on-word to describe Ganyu's overpoweredness. This time comparing her to a tactical nuke.
** "The Perfected Lord who Tumbled Down the Mountain" - A reference to Cloud Retainer's story about Ganyu rolling down the mountain like a little ball during her childhood, mostly used in the CN fandom as 咕噜咕噜滚下山真君

** "Miss Hina" - During Gorou's hangout event, Yae duped Gorou into participating in promoting her new book, which is essentially [[GenderBender genderbending him into a fox woman named 'Miss Hina']]. Miss Hina's attractive design coupled with Itto accidentally falling in love with Hina has made the concept insanely popular due to its comedic value.

** "Walnut" - This is a literal translation of her name (胡桃). Used partly because she was an unreleased character who you [[ContentLeak weren't supposed to discuss on official channels]].

** "Myon" - Another nickname given to Hu Tao's ghost, which fans familiar with the ''Franchise/TouhouProject'' series also likes to compare to Youmu Konpaku's phantom half that follows her around, also named Myon. In the Japanese dub, the ghost will scream "Myon myon myon!" as it tries to get away from Hu Tao after being grabbed by her in one of her idle animations.
** "Hu Jin-Tao" - Like the Li Keqiang nickname from above, this is also another Punny nickname due to the similarities with former Chinese President, Hu Jintao.

*** "The Perfected Lord who Freezes and Crosses Seas" or "凝冰渡海真君" - A reference to this ability used in the CN fandom. [[labelnote:Explanation]] This is the same format used for Adeptus titles in Chinese.[[/labelnote]]

** "Spiders Georg" - Since Albedo [[BizarreTasteInFood eats spiders]], people call him this as a reference to [[https://reallyreallyreallytrying.tumblr.com/post/40033025233/average-person-eats-3-spiders-a-year-factoid this memetic Tumblr post]] making fun of the myth that the average American eats 3 spiders a year in their sleep.

** "Haitham" - A simple nickname that removes the "Al" prefix from his name. "Haitham" is also pushed as the "correct" name/nickname for the character, because in Arabic, "Al-" is actually a grammatical particle that just translates to "the" (i.e. [[SpellMyNameWithAThe "the Haitham"]]).

** "WebAnimation/KizunaAi" - Before the game was released, fans pointed out how Amber's ribbon headband makes her similar to Kizuna Ai and her "pyoko-pyoko". Even ''WebVideo/HonestTrailers'' seem to have caught on this, although they call Amber as "Not Kizuna Ai" in their video.

** "Judgement Cut" - For Ayaka's {{charged attack}} because it's almost an exact replica of Vergil's iconic {{Iaijutsu|Practitioner}} move from the ''[[UpdatedRerelease Special Edition]]'' of ''VideoGame/DevilMayCry4''.
** "Weiss" - Because some fans noticed how she's just like Weiss Schnee from ''WebAnimation/{{RWBY}}''; has light-colored hair, a ponytail, fights using a sword and [[AnIcePerson ice powers]].

Variants of this nickname are derived from third-party media, such as the power of Meliodas from ''Manga/TheSevenDeadlySins'', or Dante's defensive style from ''Devil May Cry''.

** [[Characters/YuGiOhDuelists "Ishizu Ishtar"]] - Because of her Egyptian theme and her shield looking somewhat like a duel disk, fans immediately compared her to Ishizu from Yu-Gi-Oh.

** "Pom-pom" - Her {{Steampunk}} outfit resembles that of Pom-pom from ''VideoGame/HonkaiStarRail'', which came out around the time the trailer for version 3.7 dropped.
** "French Yanfei", "French Asta" - Has similar colour schemes and haircuts to the aforementioned characters.

** "[[Characters/HololiveOuroKroniiCh Kronii]]" - For ''obvious'' reasons. Fans immediately drew comparison between her and Kronii due to having similar hairstyles and appearances.
** "[[Characters/BloodborneCharactersFromTheOldHunters Lady Maria]]" - Another nickname named due to the fact that they both wear similar hats, dress similar and wield elegant swords.

** "Green Ganyu/Dendro Ganyu" - Other than the fact that they are both bow users, many fans found that Collei's [[MessyHair messy hair]] looks ''a lot'' like a certain Cocogoat's. Hence the nickname.
** "Colleiflower/Brocollei" - A pun of her name and the fact that she is a Dendro character. The March 2023 Windblume event canonized "Collei Flower" as one of Cyno's jokes.
** "Green Bean" - Another vegetable nickname [[{{Pun}} stemming]] from her green hair, Dendro Vision, and her adorably sweet personality.
** "Nugget" - Christina Costello, Collei's English VA often nicknamed her this owing to Collei's sweet and adorable personality.

** [[Characters/YuGiOhGhoulsAndRareHunters "Marik Ishtar"]] - Same with Candace, but even more so due to the fact that it is confirmed that Cyno is a TCG-addict. As such, Cyno was lumped with Marik due to the comparisons.

** "[[Franchise/BlazBlue Jin Kisaragi]]" - Because ''[=BlazBlue=]'' fans noticed that Dainsleif somehow looks like Jin.

** "Airvents" - Dehya's faux cat-looking ears are actually just her [[Main/AnimeHair funky hairstyle]]. So fans have basically started to jokingly call her hair "airvents" instead.

** "Lolibaba" - Dori's JP voice sounds like a creaky old woman and even disregarding her voice, Dori's role as a prolific scam artist, her unhealthy obsession with mora alongside other unchildlike behaviour paints Dori as a much, ''much'' [[VagueAge older lady than she appears.]] As such, fans begin to combine the word loli (i.e. anime-speak for extremely young-looking girls) and obaasan (Japanese word for grandma or old lady) into a portmanteau. Hence where the term Lolibaba came from.

** "EULA", "End User License Agreement" - A subtle nickname and pun to refer to her prior to her official reveal, because she was leaked a whole patch before she was officially released.

** "Music/HatsuneMiku" - Both have blue hair and eyes, with Faruzan’s hair resembling Miku’s twintails.
** "Grannyzan" - Faruzan is canonically a century old and talks like an old lady despite her looks. No surprise she was received with this nickname.

* "[[VideoGame/{{Bayonetta}} Bayonetta]]" - Story Teaser: Echoes of the Heart video which showcases the backstory of Guizhong, Madame Ping, and Cloud Retainer in their heyday more than 3700 years ago. Cloud Retainer in particular, surprised everyone in her human form, as she bears a striking resemblance to Bayonetta due to her tall frame, high ponytail and glasses. As such, fans started to refer to her as Bayonetta due to the resemblance.

** "Taylor Swift" - For much the same reason on why Childe is called Ed Sheeran, some fans have nicknamed her Taylor Swift due to vaguely resembling the American singer during the Overture Teaser: The Final Feast trailer.
