Also known as 'The Firehooves Cycle', is an expanded universe of Tornado Firehooves's fanfictions of My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic. It is a melded universe in which the [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyAndFriends G1 My Little Pony]] is a [[BadFuture Bad Future]] of [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic FIM]], an inversion of a FandomSpecificPlot for FIM. The first story in this universe is Twilight Then, Twilight Now, where two Twilights in two different timelines are experiencing events that shake Equestria's/Ponyland's history.

The stories in this universe are:

* KillerMonkeys: The Gizmonks. They are a race of scientifically-advanced monkeys who do experiments on ponies and also make glue out of them in a secret factory under Ponyville.

** Ziemelia is UsefulNotes/{{Malta}}.

** Ziemelia is Malta under the Order of Saint John.

* BrokenPedestal: Celestia's [[HeroicSacrifice Heroic Sacrifice]] to destroy [[GodOfEvil Discord]] have made the [[TearJerker majority of ponies to lose a lot of faith in Alicorns due to realising that they can die like any mortal pony and are not really]] [[PhysicalGod Godesses]].

* InnocenceLost: [[TearJerker The Grogar Wars and some endless wars that fell Equestria have really made ponies suffer]]. [[TearJerker No wonder they've become more warlike and hostile]].

** Hoofkaido is feudal UsefulNotes/Japan.
** Misty Mountain is UsefulNotes/Switzerland.
** Maretonia is UsefulNotes/Spain and UsefulNotes/Mexico.

** Hastland is any Scandinavian country (UsefulNotes/Denmark, UsefulNotes/Sweden, UsefulNotes/Norway, UsefulNotes/Iceland).

** The snow ponies are the pony equivalent of the Inuit.

** Hoofkaido is feudal Japan.
** Misty Mountain is Switzerland.
** Maretonia is Spain and Mexico.

** The snow ponies are the pony equivalent of the Iniut.

* DespairEventHorizon: The following comes from an excerpt during the fall of Alicornism (worship of [[WingedUnicorn Alicorns]]):

* TheDreaded: Gypsy, the mysterious Romani unicorn, is feared by the local Dream Valley ponies. [[JustifiedTrope Justified]] for her really being spooky to ward off trespassers, especially since it's a dangerous world after Equestria's fall.

* BalkanizeMe: Subverted. What used to be Equestria is now a Confederacy of 5 sub-automous city-states, and several independent small kingdoms.

* DrowningMySorrows: The first chapter of ''Tried and Trixie'' had Trixie and [[spoiler: Booker]] in a tavern, drinking and depressed.

* TheFundamentalist: Let us just say that Tornado is a devout Zorypontist and looked at Alicornists with scorn.

* {{Matriarchy}}: Zigzagged. Although not completely matriarchal, mares have considerably more power than stallions. [[WordOfGod Word Of God]] says that this is mostly due to most stallions ended up turning very violent from the Grogar Wars onwards.
** Although, [[WordOfGod he]] also said that when a war breaks out, the mares let the stallions take over leadership.
