Caesar describes as "half-savage and perpetually on the brink of starvation ... stealing food from weaker tributes and staying one step ahead of the Careers".

* GenreRoulette: While the dystopian setting remains constant, the tone and style of the story vary from chapter to chapter, going from NoirEpisode, to tales of LaResistance, to family drama, to the pure comedy gold of Dido's chapter.

** District 1 is ruled by forty noble families, but only nine of them (St. James, Boelyn, Delacroix, Lancaster, Dustell, St. Martin, Westness, Seville, and Rosencrantz) are named and several of them only have minor roles.
