Shinra High doesn't so much end as [[DividedForPublication roll directly into its sequel]], Shinra SOLDIER. Julia, Sephiroth, and the others have survived Hojo's training and are now rushed into military training to ideally become the new SOLDIER class heroes that Midgar desperately needs. Sephiroth and Julia exceed expectations, quickly ousting General Heidegger and becoming the new [[AssKickingEqualsAuthority General]] and [[NumberTwo Commander]] of the Shinra armies. They then lead Shinra to its rise to power, [[BoringInvincibleHero effortlessly crushing all opposition]] [[CombatPragmatist in the most ruthless ways possible.]]

* {Mundanger}: Sephiroth almost never comes close to getting hurt in any combat he's in, even taking on enemy snipers or monsters. Then Julia wraps their car around a lamp post, and Sephiroth nearly dies twice, once because they can't get him out of the car which is on fire, and then again because his injuries from the crash have worsened.

* EvilFormerFriend: Julia and Sephiroth become this for Yuffie during the Wutai war.

* EveryoneWentToSchoolTogether: Despite canon difference in ages and hometowns Sephiroth, Cloud, Rude, Reno, Tifa, Aerith, Zack and Yuffie all go to high school together. Meanwhile, all the staff of Shinra are teachers.

* DeathOfAChild: Happens in Chapter 88. Julia and Sephiroth's infant son is violently killed onscreen by a group of soldiers under Hojo's command. It is implied that all the children in the capital of Wutai are killed as well.

** When they know that an enemy army is going to move on their location in three weeks, the entire Shinra army just sits there and waits for it, instead of hitting the army in transit. (particularly since the army has to march through the Midgar Swamp, which provides an amazing choke point, complete with mobility impeding swamp and a deadly, violent, snake-monster). While waiting, they decide to withdraw all training from the new recruits, and instead give extra training to the first-class SOLDIERs. They make no attempts to up defense and engage the enemy inside the city, instead of beyond the impenetrable wall. Their tactic is to literally throw grunts at the enemy until they run out of bullets and cannonballs.

* ClingyJealousGirl: Julia and later Laura. Julia is jealous of Laura's relationship with Sephiroth, whom she is infatuated with, while Laura becomes briefly jealous of Julia when she sees Sephiroth smiling and laughing with her.

* AManIsNotAVirgin: Averted. Julia seems outright pleased by Sephiroth's lack of sex drive.
** Due to inconsistent characterization, he was a HormoneAddledTeenager with his first girlfriend, Laura.

* ConflictBall: Laura is defined by this quality. She is introduced as a kind girl with a loving family so Sephiroth could fall for her, causing Julia to be unable to confess her feelings for him. The moment this is established, Laura is redefined as a selfish, shallow bitch who only wants Sephiroth because he does her work for her, so that Sephiroth can be with "the wrong girl." This leads to her breaking up with Sephiroth because [[AManIsNotAVirgin he won't sleep with her.]] Once Sephiroth is back with Julia, she [[SpurnedIntoSuicide commits suicide, declaring it's because she doesn't want to live without Sephiroth]], even though she's the one who ended their relationship.

* BitchInSheepsClothing: Laura Summers is portrayed as a selfish, spoiled and incredibly spiteful person who [[DieForOurShip committed suicide]] seemingly for no other reason than to get back at Sephiroth, [[PlotHole whom she had dumped in the first place]].

Julia is friendless when she arrives at Shinra High, and craves a deep connection with someone, but her superiority complex and the perceived immaturity of everybody around her isolate and prevent her from forming meaningful bonds. Her special someone eventually turns out to be Sephiroth, and she emotionally latches onto him within minutes of their first meeting. Afterwards, he seems to be enough in terms of preferred human contact, as she never invests effort into forming any other kind of meaningful bond with anyone. Although she enjoys Yuffie's friendship, and especially the financial benefits of it, she does not put any effort into their connection and ends up pretty much friendless after she leaves highschool as a freshman.

* HairTriggerTemper: Professor Hojo.

* CheerfulChild: Tseng claims Julia was this before being taken back by her biological family.

** Her military uniform could count as this: it is described as a single piece, custom made leather bodysuit. One of the sporkers of the story pointed out how impractical such an outfit would be not only for cold weather, but also for normal everyday actions like going to the toilet, because the bodysuit has to be removed almost entirely every single time. On top of that, wearing such a skin-tight leather bodysuit in front of her soldiers will generally make it [[RealityEnsues much more difficult]] for her to be taken seriously in her job.
