** If a player is banned from Website/{{BZPower}} after leaving ''Dino Attack RPG'', their characters are said to be formally discharged by Specs.

* CrypticBackgroundReference: Dino Attack RPG takes place in 2010 and was first started in 2005. Since the details of what would happen over the next five years (in both official LEGO story and in Website/{{BZPower}} LEGO RPG story) could not be predicted, [=PeabodySam=] seized the opportunity to make Cryptic Background References regarding the fates of his ''Roleplay/AlphaTeamMissionDeepFreezeRPG'' characters, such as the death of Rebel Drone and the mysterious disappearance of Frozeen. Although some of this background information was intended to be explained by a later Alpha Team RPG (likely ''Ogel's Last Stand''), even in 2012 many questions about what exactly happened in this six-year span between ''Alpha Team RPG'' and ''Dino Attack RPG'' remain unanswered.

** Oswald was describing Athena (and by extension, Minerva) with a phrase that would have been ended with a word not appropriate for [[BZPower BZPower]], only to be interrupted by Minerva.

* FullyAbsorbedFinale: ''Love and War'' partially revealed the conclusion to the "mole hunt" subplot of ''Alpha Team RPG: Ogel's Last Stand'', which could never be finished because ''Ogel's Last Stand'' was prematurely ended by the Website/{{BZPower}} forum upgrade. More details were also revealed on the wiki.

** Andrew and Laxus occasionally dismiss retconned information as faults of the "anybody can edit" system of the Dino Attack Database.
** When [[spoiler:refusing Baron Typhonus's offer]], Sam Sinister talked about how, in the past, he was blind in a metaphorical sense. In fanon material earlier in the ''Dino Attack RPG'' which was later {{retcon}}ned into CanonDiscontinuity, Sam Sinister actually ''was'' blind in a literal sense.
** The comm chatter occasionally references the EarlyInstallmentWeirdness that has fallen into CanonDiscontinuity.

** Tons of these pop up in ''The Madness of Agent Zero'', especially during Zero's interrogation and subsequent mad dash to the technology center. In addition to the non-canon elements of BZP Noob #30000's writings, it's shown that things such as Banchicto and Hyrode's African viper form were among Zero's hallucinations.

* AfterActionPatchup: Hertz gets one at the end of both the battle for the forbidden ruins and the battle of the temple of creation.

** While most deaths are [=NPCs=], several important [=NPCs=] such as PBB and Aravis have been killed off. Primary character deaths are very rare, but Rev Raptor and Sereve both died in the battle against Landro while Louis "Dryptosaurus" was killed by a Mutant T-Rex, both rather early in the RPG. [[spoiler:Dust]] did end up being killed in the Pharaoh's Forbidden Ruins. If it were not for a ThrowItIn situation created by that guy from that show, Atton Rand's primary character Zenna might have been unexpectedly killed off. And then, [[spoiler:[[YourDaysAreNumbered Rex's Days Are Numbered]].]]

** Second, Paulie Gonepus led the Dino Attack Team to the Pharaoh's Forbidden Ruins, tricking them into thinking that it was the Maelstrom Temple, only for them to eventually discover that it was merely a RedHerring.

** [[ManipulativeBastard Dust's]] plans and manipulations of Dino Attack agents to get to the Pharaoh's Forbidden Ruins.

** The [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Dr. Mario/Super Mario]] CaptainErsatz is from Madarch City. "Madarch" is a Welsh word for "mushrooms".

* BuryYourGays: Samantha Orange died before ''Dino Attack RPG'' even began.

* CallBack:
** Elizabeth claimed she could drive an [[TankGoodness Iron Predator]] because she once tried to steal one, referencing her rather controversial theft of an Iron Predator in order to get to LEGO City harbor early in the LEGO Island arc.
** In a case used to emphasize a man's stress, Pierce briefly became determined to operate on Amanda. This was intentionally written to set up a miraculous healing like Atton Rand had attempted with Kat. However, it was handled more realistically this time, as Pierce is implied to simply be under stress (which makes sense given he is dealing with massive numbers of casualties at once) and maybe not thinking clearly, as well as the fact that Shaw realistically points out that [[spoiler:Amanda was already dead]] ''before'' putting her on the operating table. Unfortunately, Atton Rand had tried to invoke AnachronicOrder a bit too early, leading to some confusion among his fellow players and forcing this otherwise emotional event to be {{Retcon}}ned into CanonDiscontinuity.[[note]]It also did not help that Atton Rand seemed surprised to learn that Amanda was still out in the battlefield in a situation where it would be impossible to recover her body.[[/note]]

* CaptainErsatz:
** Clint Wayne is pretty much a CaptainErsatz of [[Film/DollarsTrilogy The Man With No Name]]
** Dude, Walter, and Donnie are more or less Ersatzes of the main characters in ''Film/TheBigLebowski''.
** The entire Second Headquarters Squad is based off of the main cast of ''Videogame/TeamFortress2''. All they're missing is a mysterious voice to tell them how much time they have left in their missions.
** While the Second Headquarters Squad is heavily inspired by the ''Team Fortress 2'' cast but intended to be separate characters (for example, although very similar, there are quite a few distinctions between Jane Doe's Soldier and Ronald E. Army's Soldier), Chaos is for all intents and purposes ''the'' [[Videogame/SonicAdventure Chaos]] from the ''SonicTheHedgehog'' series. Right down to seven Chaos Emeralds hidden around the globe that transform Chaos into Perfect Chaos.
** Most XERRD scientists are CaptainErsatz versions of science-oriented characters from various forms of media, ranging from Dr. Wily from ''VideoGame/MegaMan'' to [=GLaDOS=] from ''Videogame/{{Portal}}''; from Professor Elvin Gadd of ''Franchise/SuperMarioBros'' to Ze Professor from ''VideoGame/ConkersBadFurDay''; from Dr. O'Brien of ''Literature/NineteenEightyFour'' to Dr. Insano of ''WebVideo/TheSpoonyExperiment''.
** Cranky and Kiddy are ''Dino Attack RPG'''s versions of [[VideoGame/DonkeyKongCountry Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong]]. Marco Martinet is a CaptainErsatz of [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Mario]], Louie Martinet of Luigi, Pearl of Peach, Primrose of Paulina, Rosalie Mercedes of Rosalina... so on and so forth.
** In one particularly confusing case, Atton Rand introduced a CaptainErsatz that got repeatedly mistaken for an {{Expy}} of an entirely different character. Many of his fellow players believed Snake to be an Expy of Solid Snake from ''Franchise/MetalGear'' rather than Snake Plissken from ''Film/EscapeFromNewYork''. To be fair, Solid Snake himself is a homage to Snake Plissken, so similarities are inevitable.
** Now we've got a cast of CaptainErsatz characters from ''Series/BuffyTheVampireSlayer''... who were introduced solely because of a character named Giles (who wasn't even related to the show, but rather named after the character from ''Theatre/TheCrucible'').
** More or less the case with Baldrick. However, ''Series/{{Blackadder}}'' is based around history in general (with each season set in a different time period of British History) meaning that his namesake is not so much one character as a whole bunch of identical grandsons, although if anything Agent Baldrick is probably closest to the version of his namesake seen in ''Blackadder Goes Forth'' (from which his "escape kit" was inspired).
** Walker, Lovhaug, and Dr. Insano are all CaptainErsatz versions of Website/ThatGuyWithTheGlasses characters.

** The Adventurers' Island dinosaurs and [=TumTum=] tribesmen in during the battle for the Pharaoh's Forbidden Ruins.

** A villainous example from the same battle: the Fright Knights.

** Some of Chompy's dialogue in ''Dino Attack RPG'' suggests that he suffered some emotional scarring as a result of Dr. Kilroy giving him to Frozeen in ''Roleplay/AlphaTeamMissionDeepFreezeRPG''. Even though Dr. Kilroy did it out of gratitude to Alpha Team and Frozeen was a NiceGuy who always cared for Chompy, being taken from his family at such a young age without any say in the matter was probably not the best thing for Chompy.
** Roger Remous was literally introduced for no purpose other than to introduce Amanda Claw [[RedShirt and then get killed off without much fanfare]]. As of the LEGO Island story arc, his death has taken a far more serious toll on Amanda, and ''Love and War'' made his disappearance the driving force of Rex and Amanda's motivations in the second half of the story.
** ''The Madness of Agent Zero'' explains BZP Noob #30000's now non-canon Toys/{{BIONICLE}}-related material as Zero slowly suffering a mental breakdown. He nearly gets killed by a Mutant T-Rex when he thinks that he has transformed into a Toa but is really just wearing a pair of night -vision goggles.
** In ''Dino Attack RPG'' and ''Merciful Escape'', Rex's LaserGuidedAmnesia was treated as little more than a plot point. In ''First Assignment'', we learn for the first time just what effect an erased memory had on Rex's mental state:

* CommandRoster: The Elite Agents working operating on Adventurers' Island. Rex serves more or less as the Captain as well as a CunningLinguist, Zenna serves as TheHeart, Rotor is the Marine, Hertz is the CommunicationsOfficer, Rotor and Cabin both serve as Ace Pilots, and they have a small but helpful medical staff including a psychologist.

** Rex and Reptile used [[TankGoodness Iron Predators]] to defend a power station from a Mutant T-Rex attack, which culminated in the arrival of the founding members in a [[DeathFromAbove T-1 Typhoon]] to save the day and drive the T-Rexes back across the river. This whole scene was a ContinuityNod to a battle described on the Toys/LEGODinoAttack website.

** The T-1 Typhoon battle against Dr. Rex and the occasional Mutant Pterosaur atop a burning Dino Attack Headquarters was modeled after the box art for the T-1 Typhoon set.[[note]]Although, in the RPG, Specs and Viper are in a separate T-1 Typhoon from the one flown by Shadow and Digger.[[/note]]
** According to Frozeen, aside from a mishap involving a billboard and a stray Mutant Raptor, reconstruction of Toys/LEGOCity has been going smoothly. The incident involving the billboard and Mutant Raptor was a reference to a comic in LEGO Brickmaster Magazine's November-December 2005 issue.

* DyingMomentOfAwesome: With his dying breaths, [[spoiler:Trouble killed Michelle Glados, and in doing so saved Rex's life and avenged his own death as well as Amanda's.]] A surefire awesome way for [[spoiler:the beloved Mutant Lizard]] to go.

** Hoo boy. Just read some of [=PeabodySam=]'s early posts and try not to get weirded out. Most notably, the whole plot twist about a Mutant T-Rex being disguised as a Minifig. No wonder he later {{retcon}}ned so much of it.
*** Also, it's amusing to mention that, compared to how much DarkerAndEdgier the RPG currently is, many of [=PeabodySam=]'s early posts were very... childish. For example, the harshest insult that Fogel could come up with for Amanda Claw is "[[BigStupidDoodooHead Mrs. Dumb-Mouth]]".[[note]]Although, given that "dumb" has multiple meanings, this could have potentially been a somewhat-clever insult... if that was how [=PeabodySam=] originally intended it.[[/note]]

** General Evil is, more or less, a fused {{Expy}} of [[Franchise/StarWars General Grievous]] and [[WesternAnimation/ABugsLife Hopper]].
** A mad, brilliant inventor in control of an airship, an army of robots, and a water monster powered by seven emeralds who later betrays him? Well, when you put it like that, Kotua certainly seems like an {{Expy}} of [[Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog Dr. Eggman]].
** In a time when Amanda Claw's personality was still severely underdeveloped, she nearly became an {{Expy}} of ''Dino Attack RPG'''s only female primary character at the time, Dromus. How so? Her weapon of choice, a chain whip, was blatantly stolen from Dromus. However, especially following the revelation of her backstory, Amanda's DivergentCharacterEvolution led to her dropping the chain whip and picking up the knife, helping to distance her from Dromus as well as most other characters.
** Although Greybeard is not really based upon any particular character, he does act as an {{Expy}} of [[Franchise/PiratesOfTheCaribbean Captain Hector Barbossa]] in certain scenes, especially during Rex and Amanda's WartimeWedding.
** [=PeabodySam=]'s characterization of Specs is essentially an {{Expy}} of [[Series/{{Fringe}} Colonel Philip Broyles]].
** Toa Antrakha did this twice to his characters who were turned into villains. While enslaved by Dr. Inferno, Spino was an {{Expy}} of Duskmon from ''Anime/DigimonFrontier''. As Enox Phorm, Raptor became an Expy of the titular creatures from ''Franchise/{{Alien}}''.
** Much of Atton Rand's cast that does not consist of {{Captain Ersatz}}es often consists of [[{{Expy}} Expies]] of movie characters, though many of them manage to break off enough from their inspirations to become seperate individuals. Frank Bowman is loosely inspired by [[Film/TwoThousandOneASpaceOdyssey Dave Bowman]]. Cam O'Cozy started as an Expy of Major "King" Kong from the movie ''[[Film/DrStrangelove Dr. Strangelove, or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb]]'' and ended as an Expy of Ash from ''Film/{{Alien}}'', while Dr. Strangebrick is an Expy of the titular character of ''Dr. Strangelove''. Barry Jackson and Giovanni Wade were loosely inspired by characters in ''Film/SavingPrivateRyan''. The staff of Outpost 4 drew inspiration from characters in ''Film/TheThing1982''. Rotor drew inspiration from Lt. Colonel Kilgore from ''Film/ApocalypseNow'', and Lance also drew inspiration from the same movie (his last name was changed to Williams, rather than Johnson as in the film, to seperate him from the movie), Pierce is an expy of the main character from ''Series/{{Mash}}''. Cabin's appearance drew some inspiration from Michelle Rodriguez in ''Film/{{Avatar}}'', and Trigger was a loose expy of James Woods' performance in ''Film/JohnCarpentersVampires''.
*** Firecracker is an interesting case. While he was based on a character from the obscure spaghetti Western ''Film/DuckYouSucker'', his depiction isn't so much based on the actual movie's depiction of him as a guilt-ridden ex-terrorist as it is the humorous depictions of him in Atton Rand's [[WebVideo/HitlerRants Downfall Parodies]], where he is shown to be a trigger-happy maniac who loves seeing things explode and has made it his life's ambition to blow up Hitler for reasons unknown.
*** Stromling!Palmer is basically an {{Expy}} of Stromling!Zach and Stromling!Ahua, created to fill the gap by the former's HeelFaceTurn and the latter's death.
** Silencia Venomosa and Bricassius are [[{{Expy}} Expies]] of O-Ren Ishii and the crime boss who killed her parents from ''Film/KillBill''.

* FaceDeathWithDignity:
** Word Of God says that this is how Roger Remous died at the hooks of Finister, which has considerably helped Amanda Claw accept his death.
** [[spoiler:Adventure]] willingly and eagerly performed a HeroicSacrifice to buy Rex and others enough time to escape.
** [[spoiler:Semick]]'s death might be one of the most dignified deaths in the entire RPG.

* FinalBattle: Dino Attack Team fought one against [[FinalBoss Dr. Rex]] and his Mutant Dino forces in LEGO City.

** Much material from the RPG's early days, ranging from Lord Sam Sinister going blind to the infamous ''Toys/{{BIONICLE}} [[XMeetsY Meets]] [[Toys/LEGOExoForce Exo-Force]] RPG'' incident, has been retconned into CanonDiscontinuity if it cannot be [[ReimaginingTheArtifact reimagined]].

* BolivianArmyEnding: A number of Dino Attack agents whose players dropped out shortly after joining, such as [=GoldEagle=], Jordan, Spark, and Zap, were last seen on this note.

** Both Sarah Bishop and Helen Rutherford were worried sick about their children being out on the battlefield. Unfortunately, Kate is bullied by [[ColonelKilgore Rotor]] while Scout is killed by [[spoiler:[[TheMole Ata]]]].

** Not quite, but it is worth noting that, out of four figures from the FictionalCountry of Barron (which is essentially a representation of stereotypical Germany), three are villains and one is a MadDoctor. Additionally, Kuru met a German scientist working for XERRD.

* AlternateTimeline: The Future Villains created an alternate timeline by going back in time and changing the past, with the point of divergence being the early Dino Attack when they joined forces with their past selves.

* AlwaysAccurateAttack: Most of the team has invoked this concept at some point.
** Subverted twice by Lance Williams. The first time he attempted to fire and Loop while he was jumping out of a helicopter, only causing minor damage. Later on he tried to fire at two "Stromlings" (in actuality Clint Wayne and Kate Bishop) but somehow managed to avoid hitting either of them despite using a machine gun.

* AmbiguousGender: In a reference to [[VideoGame/TeamFortress2 his inspiration]], some characters argued about [[{{Pyromaniac}} Pyro's]] gender. Officially, Pyro was said by [=PeabodySam=] to be a man... until the suit was removed by Atton Rand and [[SamusIsAGirl Pyro was revealed to be a woman]]. And then, because Pyro was NotAsYouKnowThem, this was {{Retcon}}ned so that Pyro was male all along and the female Pyro was actually an imposter.

* AprilFoolsDay: ''Dino Attack RPG'' has observed three April Fools' Days, starting in 2010. In 2010, [[HostileShowTakeover Dr. Rex hacked the Dino Attack RPG Wiki and changed into a XERRD propaganda website]]. In 2011, playing off players' expectations of Dr. Rex returning to the wiki, [=PeabodySam=]'s IC post contained a [[EasterEgg hidden message]] from Dr. Rex himself. In 2012, [=PeabodySam=] released a list of spoilers that [[RunningGag most frequently]] involved [[OverlyLongGag characters slipping on a banana peel and having a heart attack while sipping a cup of tea]].
* AreTheseWiresImportant: Little Bot managed to cut the ''[[CoolAirship Voltage]]'''s power by cutting a few wires.

* AuthorAvatar: Players often (but not always) model their primary characters after themselves. A classic example would be the characters Canama and Cookieo, who were clearly [[AuthorAvatar Author Avatars]] of their respective players.

*** It speaks for itself that that guy for that show would cast Jim Parsons in the role of Frozeen, and [=PeabodySam's=] real-life friends often tell him that he reminds them of [[Series/TheBigBangTheory Sheldon Cooper]].

** [[ChekhovMIA After being M.I.A. for six years, seven months, and seven days (real-time)]], [[spoiler:Trouble]] finally made his long-anticipated return... [[spoiler:and got killed by Glados.]]

** [[BigBad Dr. Rex]], especially just before the final battle, was well-acknowledged as mad by his fellow XERRD scientists, but ruled over them through fear. He showed little regard for their safety and saw their suggestions as treason. He refused to acknowledge [[spoiler:[[TheManBehindTheMan Baron Typhonus's]] involvement in the Dino Attack]], forcing his fellow scientists to continue their work.

* BadassBystander: Ben Gunn during [[spoiler:[[TheMole Ata's]]]] attempted escape.

* BadassMustache: Marco Martinet, thanks to his [[SuperMarioBros inspiration]].

* BaitAndSwitch: XERRD succeeded in pulling off a BaitAndSwitch against Dino Attack Team ''[[RuleOfThree thrice]]''. First, Dr. Rex lured the Dino Attack Team into Quadrant 14 of the [[UndergroundLevel Goo Caverns]] with the promise of looking for a powerful weapon, where they were instead ambushed by a Mutant Dino army. Second, Paulie Gonepus led the Dino Attack Team to the Pharaoh's Forbidden Ruins, tricking them into thinking that it was the Maelstrom Temple, only for them to eventually discover that it was merely a RedHerring. Third, a random Mutant T-Rex in silver armor was at the front lines of XERRD's Mutant Dino army, and everyone naturally assumed that it was Dr. Rex, while the real Dr. Rex was leading some Mutant Dinos through the subway system and sneaking past Dino Attack Team's front lines.

* BagOfHolding:
** Spy sometimes carries around a briefcase containing the clothes of various Dino Attack agents and allies so that he can disguise himself. Imagine having to pack that thing.
** In one of Kat's earliest appearances, she pulled a bag of styrofoam packing peanuts seemingly out of nowhere while making an improvised firebomb.

** Dr. Rex and [[spoiler:[[TheMole Attila Hunstman]]]] collaborated on a BatmanGambit to leak information on a secret Antarctica mission through their android, Cam O'Cozy, to stir distrust and animosity between realists and idealists.
** Sam Sinister actually engineered a minor BatmanGambit, counting on the personalities of those involved, to ensure that he [[spoiler:saved the alpha female T-Rex from Paulie Gonepus]] by sending Mr. Cunningham to hunt her.]]

* BeautyIsNeverTarnished: [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]] in the cases of Talia Kaahs and Holly Vinyaya, both of whom received some nasty scars across their faces.

** Katerina Schattenberg closed off most of her mind and memories in order to keep Cane from realizing she had survived as Kat.
*** And then this turned into a slight [[SubvertedTrope subversion]] when it was revealed that the mask that she became became a separate entity.

** In the [[UndergroundLevel Goo Caverns]], when Rex was held prisoner in an abandoned Ogel outpost and about to watch the Brickspider Bot kill Ben Gunn, General and Shock barge in with their Ogel Drilling Vehicle and save the day.

*** Dr. Dunkelheit was a Dino Attack nurse. Anyone who speaks German would know that "dunkelheit" is German for "darkness", spoiling the fact that she was actually a [[EverythingsDeaderWithZombies Stromling Agent]] in disguise.

** The [[SuperMarioBros Dr. Mario/Super Mario]] CaptainErsatz is from Madarch City. "Madarch" is a Welsh word for "mushrooms".

** [[BigBad Dr. Rex]], [[spoiler:Baron Typhonus]], and the [[PrehistoricMonster Mutant Dinos]] were finally defeated, but at the cost of the lives of [[spoiler:Rex, General, Semick]], and many others. However, a lot of emphasis is put on the "sweet" aspect of "bittersweet", such as it being said that their deaths should not be mourned but instead celebrated, to prevent this from sounding like a DownerEnding.

** Elizabeth's story about how she totally did ''[[SuspiciouslySpecificDenial not]]'' hijack an [[TankGoodness Iron Predator]] and cargo ship in order to get to LEGO Island.

* BlindWithoutEm: Zach's field of vision is extremely limited without glasses.
** [[SubvertedTrope Subverted]] while Zach was a Stromling. The Maelstrom presumably improved his eyesight, defeating the purpose of glasses.

** Mutant T-Rexes that have been mutated beyond their normal capabilities tend to use this trope. For example, both Tex and Crunchbite, who were mutated by Green Goo exposure, and [[BigBad Dr. Rex]], who was possessed by the Maelstrom.

** Pterisa's lightning bolt barely even hurt [[spoiler:the Darkitect]], and was more akin to [[DidYouJustFlipOffCthulhu Flipping Off Cthulhu]] than [[DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu Punching Out Cthulhu]]. [[spoiler:The Darkitect responded by knocking off her helmet, causing Pterisa to suffer a HeroicBSOD.]]
** The team did eventually expel the Maelstrom from the planet, but much like [[CthulhuMythos Cthulhu]] it is still very much alive and could come again. Additionally, [[AnyoneCanDie half the cast died]] in the process of achieving that temporary victory, as well as the fact that Kate, Sam Race, Sarah Bishop, and untold numbers of other survivors were severely traumatized by the experience.

* BuryYourGays:
** Samantha Orange died before ''Dino Attack RPG'' even began.
** Averted by her girlfriend, however. Andrea Jackson and Maria made it through the war okay, even if they only got together at the very end.

* ButYourWingsAreBeautiful: Although Pterisa is very insecure about her appearance, numerous Dino Attack agents have comforted her. Specifically, Dr. Cyborg invoked this trope and Rex even referred to it by name.

* ChessMotifs: A few of them surrounding, [[SarcasmMode you'd never believe this]], [[spoiler:the false]] Wallace ''Bishop''. Especially in the way that [[spoiler:his messages were contained within chess pieces]] and his declaration that, sometimes, "the bishop must be sacrificed" to win.

** In the early days of ''Dino Attack RPG'', there were numerous players whose primary characters were ChildSoldiers as young as 9 years old. This was something that [=PeabodySam=] had not considered when he made the ''Dino Attack RPG'''s sign-up form, so he later altered the form to state that primary characters had to be at least 18 years old. The ChildSoldiers were later {{retcon}}ned to be 17 years old and lying about their age when listed in the [[http://dinoattackrpg01.wikia.com/wiki/Dino_Attack_Team/Agents Dino Attack Team/Agents]] page on [[TheWikiRule the wiki]].

* {{Claustrophobia}}: Implied to be the case with A.J. Orange, explaining why she suffers from hallucinations when wearing [[{{Pyromaniac}} her father's]] gas mask.

** Ben Gunn, who was suffering from senility during his time in the [[UndergroundLevel Goo Caverns]].

Rather interestingly, most later LEGO [=RPGs=] ended up following ''Dino Attack RPG'''s example. This makes ''Dino Attack RPG'' a follower that eventually became a leader.

* AchievementsInIgnorance: In an effort to get rid of [[LEGOIsland Enter and Return]], David gave them some money to go about getting their desired items. Enter and Return somehow managed to go to a store, buy a fishing pole, go the harbor, catch a shark, and then return to the hospital in about 30 seconds.

* BlindIdiotTranslation: Yes, "von" is the German word for "of", but in the context of a title like "[[LEGOAdventurers Baron von Barron]]", it does not mean "Baron of Barron". "Baron von Barron" refers to a baron whose name is Barron, not a baron of a place called Barron. However, seeing as Sam's surname is definitely Sinister, since it is also his sister Alexia's maiden name, this "Blind Idiot" Translation was done [[InvokedTrope intentionally]] as a means to canonize both names for the character. And, seeing as Barron is essentially "[[{{Expy}} not-Germany]]", it might make some sense that some German words do not mean ''quite'' the same thing in Barron, meaning that "Baron von Barron" might mean "Baron of Barron" in Barron.

* DeconReconSwitch: Placing the [[CloudCuckooLander zany]] paramedics [[LEGOIsland Enter and Return]] in the Dino Attack Hospital Wing, where more realistic doctors like Alan Pierce work, resulted in them constantly being called out on their questionable procedures that would never be allowed in a real hospital. However, this {{Deconstruction}} was ultimately [[{{Reconstruction}} Reconstructed]], as it turned out that Enter and Return's methods, however zany, are still proven to work quite effectively.

* AuthorFilibuster: Although exaggerated either for storytelling or for humorous purposes, many of the things that in-universe characters complain about, such as the LEGOPowerMiners color scheme or the quality of modern music, is just an excuse for their writers to complain about something they don't like.

The last time a Scorpion Orb Launcher was seen on [[LEGOAdventurers Adventurers' Island]] was early in the ''Roleplay/AlphaTeamMissionDeepFreezeRPG'', during the same mission that ended with Frozeen adopting Chompy.

** According to Frozeen, aside from a mishap involving a billboard and a stray Mutant Raptor, reconstruction of LEGOCity has been going smoothly. The incident involving the billboard and Mutant Raptor was a reference to a comic in LEGO Brickmaster Magazine's November-December 2005 issue.

* ContinuityPorn: With over seven years of canon, ''plus'' references to other [=RPGs=] and numerous LEGOThemes, it's not hard to get overwhelmed by all the canon in ''Dino Attack RPG''.

** The mood of the RPG can shift from post to post, from dark and serious to goofy and light-hearted. *** Due to Silencia Venomosa's threat to Michelle Glados, it's obvious that the flashback won't end well for Uærlig Sindstorme or Edward Korrupte either.

** Similarily, the previous story arc had not one, not two, but ''three ''different plots going on. Much focus was on the LEGOIsland mission, but it wasn't long before we were jumping back and forth between the agents in the Torn World, the mission in Antarctica, the refugee riots, Zenna's exposure of the Antarctica mission and ensuing chaos, an entire civil war going on as the result of a genocidal maniac wanting to murder anyone with the slightest idealistic beliefs, the comic relief provided by Enter and Return, Zenna's working relationship with Pierce in the hospital, and Hotwire and B gallivanting off to find Kat after Cane returned and captured her.

** Rex and Amanda's "you may kiss the bride" moment during their Wartime Wedding, as a ShoutOut to the scene from ''[[Franchise/PiratesOfTheCaribbean At World's End]]''.

** In ''The Madness of Agent Zero'', Zero is told that his old adventures no longer makes sense in the later canon [[spoiler:and therefore must be {{retcon}}ed. This causes Zero to GoMadFromTheRelevation as he realizes that he is a fictional character, and the entire ''Dino Attack RPG'' universe is just a work of fiction.]]

In this scene, the Brickolinis' Italian accents were turned UpToEleven, and the two chefs were depicted as completely oblivious as they incompetently freed the Brickster again and again over the years by constantly sending super-spicy pizzas to the jail, even after what happened the first two times.
