* CrazyPrepared:
** Link and Batman lack superhuman abilities and Tails has few abilities outside of using his tails. However these combatants brought literally dozens of weapons to their fights, and with their intelligence and strategy can adapt to most situations, even when fighting enemies that would normally overpower them.
** [[spoiler:Link and Tails]] won their battles -[[spoiler:Only the first, in Link's case, as Cloud proves to have answers to most of what Link can throw at him in the second]]- because of this. Their adaptation and strategy was able to counter their foes' superhuman powers and exploit any weaknesses. However, [[spoiler:Batman]] did not win [[spoiler:against Spider-Man and Black Panther]] because while [[spoiler:he clearly has an unlimited supply of weapons and gadgets, he never brings lethal weapons to a fight and does his best not to kill his opponent. Since Death Battles require a combatant to murder their enemy, Batman was vulnerable despite his tools, especially when fighting someone with superhuman durability like Spider-Man or somebody with a MadeOfIndestructium suit like Black Panther. Also while many of his feats are amazing, Batman normally wins battles against superhuman opponents by exploiting their weaknesses by preparing his arsenal beforehand. Spider-Man has a history of being CrazyPrepared as well, so if Batman was allowed to exploit Spider-Man's weaknesses (like his weakness to pesticides) then Spider-Man would be allowed to exploit Batman's weaknesses, which would lead to too many random assumptions. Black Panther's Panther Habit was made of nearly-indestructible Vibranium and had no weaknesses that Batman could exploit using his default loadout. Batman however defeated Captain America as the Captain could not adapt to Batman's large variety of gadgets and had few options against Batman's stealth especially after he lost his shield. Also since Cap had no superhuman defenses outside of his shield, Batman could kill him much faster than his attempts against Spider-Man.]]

* AntiRegeneration: Several combatants have a powerful HealingFactor, but this doesn't guarantee victory. Oftentimes, the opponent has ways to work around that, including vaporization or attacks that bypass healing factors.
** [[spoiler:Deadpool]] vs. [[spoiler:Deathstroke]]: Both fighters had regeneration, but the former's was far superior to the latter's. And even discounting that, the [[spoiler:Carbonadium sword of Deadpool's is capable of removing Deathstroke's healing factor, allowing the Merc with a Mouth to decapitate him]].
** [[spoiler:Kirby]] vs. [[spoiler:Majin Buu]]: The fight ends with [[spoiler:Kirby inhaling and blasting Buu's own attack back at him]], pushing him into the sun. While the former didn't [[spoiler:kill Buu due to his ability to regenerate from a single atom]], getting blasted into the sun and thus having his atoms ionized certainly did.

Eventually, Raiden ends up slicing Wolverine's head off and cutting that to bits, preventing the mutant from regenerating ever again]].
** [[spoiler:Hulk]] vs. [[spoiler:Doomsday]]: Both combatants have a powerful healing factor, but [[spoiler:Doomsday is able to overtax Hulk's by stabbing him with venomous bone claws several times and leaving said claws embedded in Hulk's body]].
** [[spoiler:Venom]] vs. [[spoiler:Bane]]: While both combatants have healing factors, [[spoiler:Bane's comes from his Venom tube, which the Venom Symbiote punctures, disabling the healing factor]].

However, Ghost Rider's ability to directly attack the soul with Hellfire could bypass the defenses and regeneration of Lobo (and his clones) without bleeding them.]]

This not only means Deadpool's Carbonadium Sword is [[YourMagicsNoGoodHere useless]] (as The Mask can just ignore the damage), but as The Mask is also many times tougher than Deadpool he can easily unleash an attack that will kill Deadpool in one blast while leaving himself just fine (like say using a giant nuclear warhead).]]

** [[spoiler: Megaman's projectiles were too slow to hit Astroboy without Astro dodging or grabbing the weapon out of the air; which he did with the Metal Blades and Crash Bomber. Ironically Astro got the bomb attached to him anyways when Megaman escaped Astro's punch: making Astro fly into the bomb which then exploded.]]
** Natsu vs Ace spends much of his fight with Natsu throwing fire projectiles and setting surroundings ablaze. Natsu eats fire to recover MP. [[spoiler:The result was predictable. At one point Ace uses a seemingly unavoidable Firefly/Fire Doll combo to blow up Natsu, only for Natsu to eat ''all of it'', replenishing a hefty amount of energy.]]
