Asskicking Leads To Leadership is the new name of the trope.

* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: Played straight, as after the war against New Flanders, anyone in the party who desired it was made a member of the new ruling council.

OurElvesAreDifferent: The Skthera, or, "those left behind," have pointy ears and tend to be light on their feet like elves in other media, but asides from that are fairly different. They possess multiple sets of vocal cords, are utterly incapable of wielding any magic, and are culturally based on Native Americans. The Dark Elves of the Vhantus Hegemony, from what has been shown thus far, seem to be generally based off the Dunmer of the Elder Scrolls.

!Characters

!!The Party

The various members of the party. The New World can be a very dangerous place to live, as has been proven by the many player characters that have come and gone.

[[folder:In General]]
* AntiHeroTeam: In spades. Virtually every character the campaigns have seen thus far has had their ups and downs in terms of morality; Otto is a constantly plotting and conniving {{necromancer}} that, while largely responsible for [[spoiler: both slaughtering the village of Raventree and several prominent observers of Josephus's [[TrialByCombat trial]] at Horse Hall]], as well as [[spoiler: brainwashing Servant]] and [[spoiler: murdering several other innocent people]], also took [[spoiler: Diel]] into his care out of guilt and single-handedly [[spoiler: saved Medsfall from Durin's posthumous attempt at vengeance]]; Brimir is an honest noble and businessman that cares for his friends and family and also despises the lower class; Keyser [[spoiler: (AKA Lionel)]] was an entertainer who wished for a democratic nation with the best interests of the common folk in mind and also turned on his friend [[spoiler: Otto]] out of paranoia and ultimately paid the price for it; Josephus is a man that, while he genuinely wishes to do all he can to give his disciples a good life in the New World, is also a control freak [[spoiler: and a [[ScamReligion con man]]]]; and so on and so forth.
* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: Played straight, as after the war against New Flanders, anyone in the party who desired it was made a member of the new ruling council.
* BadassCrew: To various degrees. Otto is a powerful necromancer wielding [[EvilWeapon Blakstaf]], an [[CoolSword extremely powerful sword]] [[spoiler: that predates the [[{{Precursors}} Empire of the Sun]] and is also a [[ArtifactofDoom key]] to a Shadowgate that will most likely [[TheEndOfTheWorldAsWeKnowIt end the world as we know it]]]]; Brimir is an exceptionally powerful Sorcerer of the High Heavens who is in the process of re-discovering the Lore of Cold and also has a spell that could destroy an entire city if he desired it; Durin was an extremely physically strong vampire whose only real weakness was his lack of foresight; Lionel is another considerably powerful vampire [[spoiler: that is personally being granted power and visions by Strahdovar himself]]; Tailin is a skilled assassin [[spoiler: who became yet another vampire, mastered the art of stealing faces, and managed to defy his weakness to water and steal Durin's dragon eggs after the rest of the party went down to Alchemer's Fire]]; Ratohn, in contrast, is something of a BadassNormal who took down a gryphon single-handedly and made a bow and cloak out of its body. The other members of the party? Debatable, but somewhat less so than those previously listed.

TRS has renamed Our Elves Are Better to Our Elves Are Different. Link changed accordingly.

The New World is a series of campaigns played in the Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 2nd Edition system between a group of friends. Taking place in a rough equivalent to Earth during the very beginning of American colonization had magic been present, the setting is very loosely based off of Warhammer Fantasy.
