* DropTheHammer: Jorg-Hammer's chosen weapon is a hammer, of course. His is a custom "bastard hammer," able to be wielded with either one or two hands. He later finds and takes for himself ''The Warden's Arm,'' a unique hammer once wielded by Osmand Stoneward, the Knight of Iron.

* {{Parody}}: The campaign's title is a parody of Franchise/TheEvilDead franchise. When pitching the campaign, one of the players likened it's grimdark tone to that of the film's on-the-nose title but got the words mixed up and the resulting name of "Dead Evil" sounded even more excessively grimdark that it stuck.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: After capturing and interrogating the goblin Rook - who was one of the slavers who captured Merric - the halfling sorcerer freezes Rook to death as revenge for his enslavement.

* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: The general attitude of the Northern Tribes; notably, the Drakemunde were the most powerful tribe on account of their leader Dorumarr having a black dragon as his mount and companion that he regularly terrorized the other tribes with if they encroached on the Drakemunde's territory. That was until the Forgeborn took Dorumarr and the dragon out, crippling the tribe's advantage significantly.

* AnAxeToGrind: Thor-Axe of the Havsbladen tribe naturally wields a massive axe. He's said to have somehow ''impaled'' a yeti with it once, earning him his epithet of ''"the Impaler."''

* HornyDevils: Jorrick's new, suspiciously beautiful young wife Mersanda is revealed to be an alu demon (a kind of lesser succubus), who seduced him in order to manipulate him into sending Jorg-Hammer off to retrieve the Blade of Calleus for her.
