Susan French Moultrie (January 23, 1912- April 6, 2003) was an American character actress. She began her career as a stage actress, having started her own theater group during World War II. She also ran a puppet theater and published a book called ''Presenting Marionettes'' in 1964. Shortly afterwards, she made her television debut in an episode of ''[[Series/AlfredHitchcockPresents The Alfred Hitchcock Hour]]''. For the rest of her career, she was often cast as women who were considerably older than her actual age at the time. She had bit parts in ''Film/TheSting'' and ''Film/Jaws2'' and played the older version of Creator/JaneSeymourActress's character at the beginning of ''Film/SomewhereInTime''. One of her more memorable TV roles was Miz Melny Trafford in the fan-favorite ''Series/QuantumLeap'' episode "[[Recap/QuantumLeapS1E07TheColorOfTruth The Color of Truth]]". French passed away at age 91 and some of her ashes were buried on Mackinac Island, Michigan, where ''Somewhere in Time'' was filmed.
