Started in 2010, Subspace Radio is an internet radio station that, as its self-proclaimed title proclaims, is the voice of the Franchise/StarTrek-based [[{{MMORPG}} Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game]] ''VideoGame/StarTrekOnline''. The site can be found at [[http://subspace-radio.net subspace-radio.net]] and plays host to many people, both in the IRC Chat channel and in the actual station itself, ranging from kindly, InnocentInnuendo-spouting Yumene to not-even-CovertPervert Grom, the station's self-proclaimed "[[{{Catchphrase}} Only Ferengi DJ]]", as well as a Tribble that somehow managed to sneak onto the show as well and serves as a buffer program for the people as an in-between show. The entire station is reliant on donations from the listeners, like most internet radio stations, but is generally well-recieved due to their [=DJs=] mostly being friendly with their listeners and having their own ''VideoGame/StarTrekOnline'' avatars, as well as their being JustForFun/OneOfUs. They also have a friendly rivalry with Trek Radio.

* OneOfUs: If the trope could apply to the showrunners due to them having their own STO Avatars, then it would. But the trope goes much deeper then that:
** DJ Berryshine, host of ''The Orb of Sound'', is a [[WesternAnimation/MyLittlePonyFriendshipIsMagic Brony]] and everyone likes to make fun of him for it. Not that he minds much.
** DJ Concentus, host of the ''Borg Boombox'', has [[TVTropesWillRuinYourLife wasted many hours on TV Tropes]] and is an avid player of [[TabletopRPG tabletop RPGs]].
** DJ Darek is not only a fan of many different video games, but he also reads TVTropes.
*** And has edited this page.
** DJ James_Picard, host of "The Galactic Gearshift" is the primary Metal DJ and melts faces on a weekly basis.
** DJ Yumene may be a closet Brony.

!!This Community provides examples of:
* AudienceParticipation: A staple of the station, with requests, IRC Channels, and even in-game avatars participating in radio shows and reacting to the goings-on in the game proper.
* BadassAdorable: Yumene, while by far the most... erm... "Innocent" DJ on the station, is still a capable fighter.
* BadassBookworm: Most of the [=DJs=] count.
* BuccaneerBroadcaster
* FourStarBadass: Admiral Grigori Yanishev, along with being a stereotypical CrazyAwesome drunken Russian, is this.
