* Averted in ''VideoGame/BreathOfFireIV'' in the beginning. The forest Fou Lu is walking through is set on fire, and he seemingly has no problem with it, which would make sense considering his claims of AGodAmI. Only for him to come out the other side and be unable to take on an ambush due to how much he was weakened by the fire, especially due to his strong affinity for water. Then he gets knocked out in one hit. In a later scene he wakes up covered in bandages and is unable to walk before collapsing, with his new caretaker telling him to take it easy because he's seen men die from burns as bad as that.

** ''[[VideoGame/PokemonColosseum Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness]]'' has it in the Cipher lair on Citidark Isle. Part of the place is oozing with lava and you have to push metal crates into the pits to block the lava so you can get the chests and proceed to the next area. You do get a "it's too hot to approach" if you try to approach the chest before dropping the crate, and the [[MemeticMutation ceiling peon]] complains that he got hot waiting for you but that's it. No way the ground would really be cool enough to walk on that fast. The crates might survive a while, but they'd soon be red-hot and possibly molten.

* Averted in ''VideoGame/RimWorld''. Heat from fires pose a direct and potentially lethal threat to pawns. While outdoors the danger is minimal as the heat disperses very quickly, an indoor fire, especially if the room is made of wood, can raise the nearby temperature to a maximum of 1000°C which can incapacitate pawns within seconds and even ignite the clothes on their back. This can even be weaponized if you manage trap enemies in an area with an active fire, the heat travels so enemies that aren't even close to the fire will eventually start to collapse.
