* AlternateCompanyEquivalent: Amora is Marvel's own ComicBook/PoisonIvy, being a seductive female villain with mind-control powers that frequently flirts with their respective hero. Notably, she debuted in comics just two years before Poison Ivy.

* ZettaiRyouki: Although her classic costume features skintight leggings which show no skin at all, many of her variant outfits invoke this trope. Miniskirts or the equivalent of a one-piece bathing suit, paired with thigh high boots, most often result in a 'Type A' manifestation.

** Amora once spent considerable time and effort attempting to force the actual ''concept'' of Love (which is indeed a sentient being within the Marvel universe) into humanoid form, believing that only Love itself was worthy of being her lover. In the limited series ''Thor: Ages of Thunder'', the Enchantress is said to have been [[IHaveManyNames referred to by many names]] throughout history including [[LoveGoddess Freyja]], Gefn and [[FountainOfYouth Iduna]], and is linked to many of the myths associated with these goddesses. For example, Enchantress was responsible for keeping the golden apples that provides the Asgardians with their immortality and power, and as soon as she is kidnapped by a Frost Giant, the Asgardians begin to wither until someone can rescue her, much like the myth of Idunn. Amora is by no means the only Marvel character to have gone by the Enchantress codename: '''Sylvie Lushton''' from the ComicBook/YoungAvengers was given magical powers by SelfDemonstratingArticle/{{Loki}} and modeled herself specifically after Amora's appearance.[[note]]Amora was quite offended when she learned of this, tossing Sylvie into a DeathWorld and telling her that she'll have to survive that to be worthy of the Enchantress name. Amora the Enchantress is a Creator/MarvelComics character created by Creator/StanLee and Creator/JackKirby, first appearing in ''Journey Into Mystery'' #103 (dated April 1964). An Asgardian sorceress who has attempted to seduce Thor on numerous occasions. Initially, her aims seem to have been to claim him as her own Asgard's handsome warrior-prince, and thereby eventually become queen of Asgard. Much to her surprise, Thor proved resistant to her charms, and over the following centuries and millennia her plans largely became driven by a desire to ensnare the heart of the man who eluded her for so long. Her plots generally revolve around seducing him or trying to punish him for rejecting her advances. She typically uses her (admittedly stunning) looks and magics to enthrall others to fight for her. Despite her villainous ways, she has genuine feelings for Thor and has put her life on the line for him in the pas, has also willingly joined in the defense of Asgard when dire threats have arisen.

** ShutUpHannibal: Desak [[RageAgainstTheHeavens being DESAK]] would have none of it of coarse, [[ArmorPiercingSlap bitch smacking the haughty god queen]] aside like a volleyball due to seeing through her honeyed words for the self-obsessed nature lying beneath her empty words of marginal betterment.

* [[CallingTheOldManOut Calling The Old Lady Out]]: When Magni challenged Thor to pick up and wield Mjolnir to test his worthiness and the worthiness of his so-called dominion over the people of Midgard. Amora attempted to dissuade his current coarse of action, only to be rebuffed by her son for a hypocrite by addressing rumors heard in his childhood [[MistakenForRomance that she only married his father for the power it entailed]].

* [[SmallGirlBigGun Small Girl, Big Sword]]: Amora isn't a small woman (except when compared to her people, an entire race of [[BoisterousBruiser Boisterous Brusers]]), but when she tries to wield an Asgardian melee weapon, the result is much the same.
** In the 'Mares' storyline, Amora uses a broadsword to behead a helpless and immobile [[spoiler:Donald Blake]]. Even though any Warrior of her people would use it effortlessly, she's forced to use both hands, struggles visibly to merely lift it, and requires multiple swings, complete with grunts of effort, to achieve her goal. When she's finished, she's panting for breath, and splattered with blood from the very messy beheading.
** Justified in that even though she has a fair amount of superhuman strength, everything in the realm of Asgard is made of superdense/superheavy materials (even the inhabitants!), thus allowing most of them to avoid the problems inherent in living in a [[WorldOfCardboardSpeech World of Cardboard]].

** When she encountered Doctor Strange, Amora apparently had not been able to procure a suitable champion, so she ''made'' one by wrapping an entralled mortal in multiple enchantments designed to boost his abilities to godly levels. This left her magicks weakened, and contributed to her defeat.

In ''Ages of Thunder'', two Frost Giants attempted to claim her in separate occasions: the first disguised himself as a stone-mason and attempted to cut a deal with the Asgardians by rebuilding their destroyed walls in return for the Enchantress' hand in marriage. The second one had Loki delivering the golden goddess to the giant’s icy harem as his queen.

* LoveGoddess: Though her focus is more on her beauty and skills at seduction, more than a few Asgardians regard her (perhaps mistakenly) as a goddess of love as well.

The character went [[DependingOnTheWriter through different variations over the course of publication]], being Thor's bitter enemy to his on-and-off love interest after Jane Foster and Lady Sif. She hasn't been restricted in appearing only Thor comics and showed up in other publications, most notably being the rival to [[ComicBook/{{Dazzler}} Alison Blaire aka Dazzler]] of all people.
