Added DiffLines:

* TheBadGuyWins: Jason is portrayed as pretty villainous here and comes out unscratched while continuing his killing spree.
* CassandraTruth: Laura and Miles' father warned them that nothing good would come from Crystal Lake before he died but they tried to build there anyway.
* GracefulLadiesLikePurple: Laura has at least some purple on in all of her scenes and does remain fairly composed and insightful until the very end.

Added DiffLines:

* HonestCorporateExecutive: Mr. Upland apparently built Camp Crystal Lake to bring joy to children rather than for any ulterior motive and the killing sprees that followed took a heavy toll on him. His children are implied to have tried to re-open the camp to honor him and that dream, and when Jason resurfaces and destroys their efforts, Miles is willing to eat their losses and keep from trying to build anything there again, while Laura wats to kill Jason to make it safe for people again.

Added DiffLines:

* KnowWhenToFoldEm: Laura's brother decides to wash his hands of the camp (both financially and in terms of trying to do anything about Jason).

Added DiffLines:

* RedshirtArmy: Laura's paramilitary goons. There's a lot of them, and none of them last more than a couple panels against Jason, with few of them getting ''any'' characterization.
* SunnydaleSyndrome: After all of the people Jason's killed, and all of the survivors he's left, many are still convinced that he doesn't exist, or have never even heard of him, such as the two kids who think it's a good idea to have some AutoErotica in his stomping grounds.
* TakeAMomentToCatchYourDeath: The two kids who Jason was stalking stop running a ways outside of the camp zone. With the boy [[SkewedPriorities trying to pick up where they'd left off]] when Jason appears again.
* VillainousUnderdog: Jason is being hunted by a group of heavily armed thugs and a helicopter, while he's all alone, caught off guard and poorly armed. [[UnderdogsNeverLose he still wins]].
* WalkingSwimsuitScene: Laura is seen by a pool, in a bikini and beach skirt as she's first hiring her mercenaries.

A one-issue horror comic set in the ''Franchise/FridayThe13th'' universe, released by Creator/AvatarPress in 2005.

A brother and sister duo who own the land around the former Camp Crystal Lake try to build a new resort there, but their efforts are sabotaged by the undead killer Jason Voorhees, who prowls the area. They arrange a group of soldiers to hunt him down, setting the stage for a massacre.

!!''Friday the 13th Special'' provides examples of:

* AffectionateNickname: The two teens who try to have sex in their car call each other "huggy wuggy bear" and "honey bunny".
* AndShowItToYou: Jason strikes his arm through a soldier, grabbing his heart in the process, just as the guy tells a younger soldier how the younger generation has "no heart".
* AutoErotica: Two teens try to have sex in their car as the soldiers hunt down Jason nearby. They are forced to flee the vehicle once one of them falls from the sky and crashes through its hood.
* HalfTheManHeUsedToBe: One of the soldiers who're after Jason is cleaved in half vertically by him. Other gets cut in half horizontally with his own rifle.
* HealingFactor: A grenade is thrown at Jason's feet, which takes a portion of his upper body as it explodes. He then grows his lost flesh back in seconds, and attacks the guy who threw the thing.
* HelicopterBlender: After her helicopter falls on a tree and she drops from it, Laura thinks she is safe from Jason as she is in the waters of Crystal Lake, where he drowned. Jason then throws his machete at the tree that holds the helicopter, causing it to come off and fall on her, and she's sliced to pieces by its still-spinning blades.
* ImpaledWithExtremePrejudice: One of the alternate covers shows Jason striking a metal pole through a victim, and other shows a soldier impaled on a tree branch.
* ImprovisedWeapon: With a helicopter's heavy machine gun bearing on him, Jason rips off a spring duck from a playground and throws it lethally at the vehicle's pilot Blake, which brings the thing crashing down on a tree.
* MotiveRant: Laura rants about how the events after Jason's drowning eventually killed her father from heartache, all the while she throws grenades at him.
* OffWithHisHead:
** Jason punches one soldier's head off with such force that it bounces between several trees before it lands on his feet. He crushes it under his foot as he moves on to hs next victim.
** Jason hits the soldier named Ken on top of his head (the sound effect being "FAM") so hard that it goes through his body, and comes out of his ass (the written sound effect of ''that'' being "SWAQ!").
* PunctuatedForEmphasis: Crossed with KilledMidSentence as Jason manages to get Laura killed just as she's telling him with punctuation that he can't get her.
-->'''Laura:''' You. Can't. Get. M--
