* AndNowForSomethingCompletelyDifferent: The new volume features an entirely new team, with only Jessica remaining from the previous one. And the original Ultimates were a government-sanctioned team, operating in the international level; this one is just a band of street-level vigilantes.

Jessica Drew, a.k.a. Spider-Woman, noticed a ton of illegal genetic research activity going in Roxxon, so she decided to investigate them. However, she could not do it alone, having tried it before and gotten caught and nearly vivisected by the scientists. Also, she could not enlist the help of the Ultimates since SHIELD had contracts with them. So she decided to reach out to Miles Morales while he was still in mourning from his KIA mother. It took some time, but he eventually signed on. They go and investigate their first leads and results of Roxxon experimentation and come across a distressed Bombshell who was worried that her previous attackers, Cloak and Dagger were still after her. Both Jessica and Miles console her and try to piece her connection to Roxxon only to be attacked by Taskmaster who was hired by the evil corporation to take Bombshell out. During the battle, Cloak and Dagger help defeat the assassin and which all of them talk and notice their leery connection to Roxxon. So they all decide to take Roxxon out in spite of overwhelming odds. They defeat the corporation and then decide to become a team afterwards. Far from the international conflicts of the original team, the All-New Ultimates worked against a MobWar. Crime in New York had made worse after Cataclysm, as S.H.I.E.L.D. was closed in the aftermath. They fought against Diamondback and Crossbones, the vigilante Scourge, and an anti-gang police unit.

* CellPhonesAreUseless: Cloak and Dagger can not be texted, because they don't have cell phones. They are officially dead, so it may be difficult for them to get in a cell phone plan.

* CurbStompBattle: The New Ultimates' first formal outing as a team was not a pleasant experience. Jessica was poisoned, Cloak was injured, and Bombshell was so scared that she might have died that her powers started acting wonky and she quit the team afterwards.

The All-New Ultimates were a superhero team, created by Michel Fiffe in 2014. It was set in the ComicBook/UltimateMarvel universe. ComicBook/TheUltimates break up after ''Comicbook/CataclysmTheUltimatesLastStand'', as Captain America had died and Thor got lost in the Negative zone. The team is composed by:

* PoorlyDisguisedPilot: Before the series was announced, the same grouping of characters appeared in the final arc of ''Ultimate Comics: Spider-Man'', as well as the ''[[Comicbook/CataclysmTheUltimatesLastStand Cataclysm: Ultimate Spider-Man]]'' mini-series.

* SideKickGraduationsStick: This team is rather unique compared to most comic book super hero teams because of how young they are. Most of the time, when dealing with Teen Super hero teams, their age is referenced because they are a younger team than the original(e.g. Comicbook/YoungAvengers, Comicbook/YoungJustice, Comicbook/TeenTitans, and etc). This team is mostly comprised of B-list or low A-list superheroes and they are actively replacing A-list heroes such as Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America as the Ultimates and there is nothing referencing their age.
