Sealed away centuries ago by a "giant of light", Demaaga's return was announced by the presence of sudden forest fires and boiling rivers. The molten iron monster rampaged through the countryside, heading for Umezawa City. Xio was unable to stop the Demaaga's rampage and when Daichi lost his precious Gomora Spark Doll in the chaos, he found himself in the path of one of Demaaga's fireballs. That was when a mysterious light enveloped him from his X-Devizer and he became one with Ultraman X! Although initially confused at what was happening, Daichi managed to coordinate with Ultraman X and battle Demaaga. Within due time, the monster was destroyed by the Xanadium Ray and reduced to a Spark Doll. However, the Molten Iron Monster would return in a far more powerful form.

Emerging from Mt. Okuyama, a female Birdon had been constructing a nest in the countryside to lay her expecting egg in the near future. Among the nest materials were several vehicles with the drivers still inside, so when Xio was called to the scene, they needed to drive Birdon away from the nest for a bit. They did manage to do so, but Birdon damaged the Sky Musketty, forcing Daichi to become Ultraman X again. He rescused the vehicle, but was unable to contend with the volcano bird's deadly venom. Eventually, Dr. Gourman had finished the tool Ultraman X would need to win - Cyber Armour. Using Daichi's Gomora Spark Doll as the base, Dr. Gourman created the Cyber Gomora Armour and it was uploaded to the X-Devizer, allowing Ultraman X to use it. With Birdon's beak unable to pierce the armour, Ultraman X unleashed a Super oscillatory Wave, turning Birdon into a Spark Doll with the egg still inside her.

The titular Ultra, he was once tried to stop an evil villain in space that wanted to destroy the solar system. As they travel in the solar system, they clashed against each others until X throws him to the sun but it eventually causes the Ultra Flare incident to be happened. At that time, the solar flare also turned his body into a mass of data and thus, seeking Daichi's help to regain his old form.
