* GlorySeeker: {{Justified}}, as he notes that a Hero needs to be famous so people will be more inclined to listen to him when needed, which means he needs to get his name out there. So he intentionally does things that gain him glory while also paying off minstrels to sing of him and such.

* MyGreatestFailure:
** Despite defeating the Demon Lord, everyone he knew and loved died in the original timeline. He intends for everyone to survive in the redo. Unfortunately, he's had to kill some of them himself.

* NewGamePlus: Pretty much what he goes through. Gives him the edge against opponents he'd faced in the future. But in turn he also massively changes history with every step forward, resulting occasionally in undesired circumstances.

* VictoriousChildhoodFriend: In the manga adaptation, when Kail decides not to pursue a relationship with Urza because he is already in one with Riize.

* ILied: After killing 22 of the 30 knights sent to kill princess Mileina in an assassination plot, he talks the others into abandoning the fight rather than risking his life taking down the remaining ones in by explaining that since his job is to prevent them from killing the princess, which they couldn't since they lost their only means of giving chase, not specifically to kill them. They decide to retreat... which is when he then kills the lot of them with an explosive gem while citing at that point he'd told them both his friend's name and where the treasure he found was, so killing them was pretty much on the board one way or another.
** Played with later on, after giving his word he wouldn't intervene in a fight that turned out to be more a spar, he tried to kill Yulriga and only shifted targets when he spotted something else because Kail told him to make sure she didn't leave alive. He kept his word only because there was no point in trying again and because she wasn't as hostile.
** And later on when Kail releases some Hunters after they tell him everything they know, he mixes it in with ExactWords about how they said they'd kill them the next time they saw them and that they never said anything not purposely meeting them again.

* OlderThanTheyLook: Elves have a lifespan spanning several centuries and even a young-looking one can be over 50 years old. Urza's age is never revealed but it's implied that she is much older than her companions.

* NothingPersonal: In the original timeline she killed people who could have been tremendous assets in defeating the Demon Lord. However it wasn't out of malice, but just because she was a professional assassin.

* EmptyNest: Selaia gets hit with this hard in the second timeline due to Kail leaving home so young. [[spoiler: It ends up making her and her husband get frisky, resulting in them expecting a second child that didn't exist in the first timeline.]]

* TheGoodKing: What he appears as during his introduction when he thanks Kail's group for saving his daughter. [[spoiler:A couple scenes later show that him being a good king isn't the case at all.]]

* CoolOldGuy: He's an old man that's still willing to go about performing his duties for his kingdom.

* InterspeciesRomance: Human Miranda with Dwarf Gazas.

* TheFaceless: His face was covered by a dark helmet.

* NevertheObviousSuspect: Per the original [[LightNovels light novel]], the true identity is eventually revealed to be [[spoiler:an artificial soul created by the Magical Kingdom of Zeeles that was left unattended after the fall of the Kingdom and whose only goal is to fulfill his creation purpose: to be a strengthened soul via fusion. As an artificial existence without emotions, the Demon Lord didn't intend to conquer the world, to travel to the past to correct something or to accomplish anything other than fuse his soul with himself. The destruction that he brought was always inconsequential to him.]]
