An alchemist-mage from the East, the Neidan uses a combination of powerful concoctions, various mental and physical disciplines, and drawing on the power of the ancestors to produce remarkable effects.
Added in Eternal Embers.

* AlchemyIsMagic: Neidans are capable of not only using alchemical concoctions as weapons, but also enhancing the effects of potions they drink to give them further buffs. However several of their abilities are as openly supernatural as any of the game's more overtly sorcerous masteries.
* BreathWeapon: They're capable of breathing fire from their mouths, which can be enhanced with further effects.
* SummonMagic: They can summon groups of Terracotta Soldiers to fight for them.

* CripplingOverspecialisation: Several of the Hunter's skills are specialised in killing Beasts and Beastmen, who collectively make up the second most common class of enemies in the game, while their emphasis on high Bleed and Pierce damage makes them even more effective at slaying any flesh-and-blood foes. Unfortunately, this also leaves them singularly ill-equipped to deal with the most common class of enemies in the game- Undead, who are all universally completely immune to Bleed and mostly highly resistant to Piercing damagefor the same reasons they also struggle just as much with the (fortunately much less common) Constructs. Choosing your secondary class should be done with care if you don't want to spend the whole game with hordes of skeletons and ghosts making your life a misery.
