!!Kosslivo Empire

The ruler of Kosslivo who leads the nation with an iron fist.

A smarmy, orc-hating goblin later recruited by Harvon.

* BullyingADragon: His debut is him mocking and insulting King Chorn Torgash directly to his face, despite knowing he could effortlessly crush his body with his bare hands.
* DeadpanSnarker: He's as witty and sarcastic as Gendyl, and almost everything he says is condescending.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: Krun is introduced pissing on the king's statue in broad daylight. When the king catches him, he doesn't deny what he did and starts passive-aggressively insulting him.
* ExcrementStatement: When Krun first appears, he's spotted peeing on a statue of King Torgash in defiance.
* Jerkass: Krun isn't nice to anyone and always has something rude to say. He's only helping Harvon because he hates King Torgash that much; he doesn't care about Kosslivo or any of the orcs' well-being.
* ThePigPen: Krun isn't hygienic, and many orcs complain about how much he stinks.
* TheSociopath: Like Gendyl, he doesn't care about anyone or anything except his own well-being, and is only assisting Harvon's crew to spite the king.

!!Kosslivo Empire

The ruler of Kosslivo who leads the nation with an iron fist.
----

* CantKillYouStillNeedYou:
** The only reason why he puts up with Krun and his snarky, condescending attitude is because he uses Krun and other goblins as spies and scouts.
** This is also the reason why he puts up with his council's cowardice and incompetence. He knows he can't run the country on his own and that they're more capable of organizing the political aspects of Kosslivo.

* DarkActionGirl: Bereesa knows how to take care of herself when in battle and fights just as fiercely as all of the male orcs in Kosslivo.

* Fetish: For orc feet, given his "interactions" with Kinshik and Ishmael.

Two orcs who supervise and train a division of teenage and child soldiers.

* EarAche: Half of Sollox's right ear was cut off prior to the story.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Sollox and Vulxcon have blatantly told the king to his face that some of the news laws he invented (namely the one where soldiers have to soil themselves) are asinine and aren't doing anything to improve their trainees' lessons.
* EyeScream: Vulxcon's left eye was cut out prior to the story. And in chapter 13, Krun intentionally hurls a stone at Sollox's right eye to "match his lover's eye complexion."
* ThoseTwoGuys: The two of them are almost never seen apart.

One of the orcs who guards the western breeding facility.

* TheAlcoholic: It's rare for Lorrsh to be seen when he's not drinking.
* BerserkButton: Religious hypocrites. Lorrsh mentions in chapter 13 that an orc he knew constantly absolved himself of his sins everyday, but would immediately go back to raping slaves--something Lussager prohibited. Lorrsh got so fed up with the orc that he cut his throat open.
* HiddenDepths: Initially comes across as being a bit character who just drinks a lot. Chapter 13 reveals that he has a close relationship with Hykler, he hates hypocrites, he disagrees with many of the king's laws, and he's deeply religious.
* MyCountryRightOrWrong: Regardless of how he feels about King Torgash, Lorrsh is still proud to have fought for Kosslivo, and will gladly die protecting his country.

!!!Kosslivan City Guard

Torgash's soldiers stationed to patrol the capital of Kosslivo.
----
* AffablyEvil: Like the army, many of the guards are just doing their jobs, even though they're willingly letting slavery, rape, and murder exist within the city's limits.
* JustFollowingOrders: Similar to the army, they're just following the commands of a tyrant, even if they don't like it.
* PunchClockVillain: Many of the guards aren't needlessly sadistic (save for a few). They're JustFollowingOrders.

One of the city's guards who spends most of his free time abusing slaves.
----
* AssShove: Jervow kills him by ramming a claymore into his ass.
* AssholeVictim: He's one of the orcs in the city who enjoys being evil and abusing slaves because the king allows it. Hard to get upset when Jervow brutally murders him.
* CardCarryingVillain: One of the few orcs who willingly chooses to be a sadistic rapist and constantly brags about how nobody in the world will stop him or the Torgash Empire.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Jervow cuts off his ears, his nose, his tongue, and he stabs him in both eyes. Then he finishes him off by impaling him in his rectum with a claymore.
* DepravedHomosexual: He's homosexual, and he happily spends his time abusing and raping male slaves.
* FlatCharacter: He's a homosexual rapist and sadist. He has no other characterization outside of this.
* SacrificialLamb: Villainous example. Gurchun's characterization, along with his death, are a firm reminder that even though everything Harvon and his team are doing isn't exactly right, there are some orcs in the city who need to be put down for the greater good.
* TokenEvilTeammate: Unlike most of the other orcs in the army and city guard, Gurchun stands out as being gleefully depraved and happily raping and torturing slaves.
* YouNeedABreathMint: When Gurchun tells Jervow that he can't get in a consensual relationship with regular orcs because they're too snobby, Jervow tells him he'd get better results if his breath wasn't repulsive.

!!Harvon's Crew

A group of orcs who all band together to free Kosslivo from King Chorn Torgash's tyranny.
----
* AntiHero: All of them have no problem allowing collateral damage and committing treason, but it's all so they can stop Torgash's wrath and rescue all the slaves in the city.
* DarkAndTroubledPast: All six of them have some kind of horrible backstory caused by Torgash. Harvon, Shurrmvin, and Hykler all had their loved ones killed; Jervow and Aerotan were tortured by Torgash's minions, with the latter having been castrated; Gendyl just hates the king.
* KnightInSourArmor: All of them know there's no justice in the world, and they know that innocent people get hurt and/or die all the time, no matter what they do. But they still strive to make Kosslivo a better place for the world, even if their methods are questionable.
* ALighterShadeOfGray: They're warriors who fought for the king for years, and they've no issue with killing innocents to maintain their cover. But they're all trying to save Kosslivo before the king ends up destroying the country, and they despise the sheer amounts of slavery and rape that the king legalized.

The leader and instigator of an orc rebellion in Kosslivo.
----
* BadassGrandpa: He's over seventy years old, but is still more than capable of fighting like a hulking brute in battle.
* BerserkButton: Complacency towards injustice. Harvon cannot stand when people in Kosslivo just stand by and watch as slaves are raped or innocents are cut down. He even thoroughly chews out his best friend in chapter 4 just because he had absolutely no reaction to an orc getting murdered in a public tavern.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Shurrmvin. Both of them have been friends for over twenty years and still trust each other more than anyone else. They even share the same apartment together.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Like all orcs, he cares more about saying what he needs to say and doing what he needs to do, while everyone's feelings are secondary to him. Nevertheless, he tries to allow people see situations from his point of view and does his best to maintain healthy relationships with others.
* TheLeader: He's the orc leading the eponymous crew who convinced Shurrm, along with the other four, to join his rebellion.
* OutlivingOnesOffspring: Exaggerated. Harvon outlived all three of his children, all of whom were murdered when Torgash staged a coup in Kosslivo.

Harvon's second in command, and his best friend.
----
* Acrofatic: He's a portly orc, yet he's still capable of fighting and maintaining the speed of any orc who's much more physically-fit.
* BadassGay: Shurrm's a fierce fighter who can hold his own in combat, and he's also homosexual.
* BadassGrandpa: He's over seventy years old, but his age does nothing to slow him down, as he still fights like any common, blood-drunk orc would.
* BigBeautifulMan: He's a very fat orc, yet muscular and attractive nonetheless, according to Jervow.
--> Jervow: "I hate you."
--> Shurrmvin: "Why's that?"
--> Jervow: "Because you're three times fatter than I am and twice my age, and somehow you look more attractive than I do."
* FatBestFriend: He's Harvon's close companion, and he's also very chubby.
* HeroicNeutral: Initially wanted nothing to do with Harvon's rebellion. Chapter 4 shows that Shurrm was just as apathetic and conformed to the degradation of Kosslivo as everyone else. He only joined Harvon's crew after Harvon convinced him to, and after Harvon spontaneously attacked a group of orcs raping a slave in the streets.
* HeterosexualLifePartners: With Harvon. Both of them have been friends for over twenty years and still trust each other more than anyone else. Oddly enough, Shurrmvin is gay, but sees Harvon as a blood brother, not a potential love interest.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He can be snarky towards others, and he tends to be BrutallyHonest when it comes to the state that Kosslivo has devolved into. But he's still an affable and pleasant orc to be around, and genuinely wants what's best for the people in Kosslivo.
* TheLancer: He's Harvon's right-hand-orc and his best friend. He's also the polar opposite of Harvon, being much more reluctant at starting a rebellion because he knows he'll have to kill his fellow brethren in the process.
* ManlyGay: Very burly, chubby, masculine orc who's homosexual, along with being a dangerous fighter.
* NobodyOverFiftyIsGay: Subverted. It's revealed in his debut that he's gay, but his age was unknown. Chapter 8 confirms he's over seventy.
* SleevesAreForWimps: When he's not in armor, his casual clothing consists of brown trousers and a beige vest showing off his gut.

One of the more reluctant orc warriors who joins the crew.
----
* BerserkButton: Bringing up his deceased son, Welmar, will more than likely result in Hykler breaking your windpipe with his bare hand.
* Hypocrite: Hykler chews out Harvon in chapter 7 for having the audacity for killing fellow orc warriors...then he goes and does it too. He also is opposed to Harvon's idea of rebellion because he knows there will be collateral damage, yet he had absolutely no issue with participating in razing a village full of peaceful ogres.
* JerkassHasAPoint: Hykler is whiny, brunt, and very hypocritical, but he does bring up several good points, such as what Harvon and his allies are doing will result in more bloodshed, and that the orcs they intend on killing--like Morklox--have loved ones who will miss them dearly.
* NeverMyFault: Hykler frequently blames Harvon and his allies for what he does, acting as though he never has a choice in the matter. But at no point did anyone physically force him to join Harvon's cause, and nothing prevented Hykler from killing Harv the second he realized what he was planning.
* OutlivingOnesOffspring: His son was killed (presumably by King Torgash) years before the events of the story.

A physically-deformed orc who joins the crew.
----
* BadassGay: Similar to other homosexual orcs in Kosslivo, he's a valiant, capable opponent when it comes to a swordfight, or an all-out battle.
* CoveredInScars: He has dozens of scars on his head, burn wounds on his chest, and his left eye is pale and milky.
* EyeScream: It's never explained how it happened, but Torgash tortured Jervow so badly that his left eye is now pale and useless.
* ManlyGay: Like many other orcs, Jervow is a burly, masculine beast who isn't ashamed that he's sexually attracted to males.
* ShamefulStrip: In chapter 8, Torgash forces Jervow to take off his clothes in front of him and several other orcs in an attempt to make him feel emasculated. It fails.

An archer who teams up with Harvon and Shurrmvin.
----
* ActionGirl: Like various other females in Kosslivo, she has no problem holding her own in combat with her weapons.
* ArcherArchetype: She prefers to use a bow and arrow instead of traditional axes or swords like most orcs in Kosslivo do.
* TheChick: She's the only female member of Harvon's crew.
* CripplingCastration: It's never openly stated what happened, but Psymarr maimed Aerotan to the point where she physically can't have children anymore.
* TheStoic: Shows very little emotion. She's completely stone-faced in chapter 7 after she helps Harvon and the others massacre fellow soldiers, whereas everyone else--sans Gendyl--is almost on the verge of having an emotional breakdown.
* TheUnfettered: Once Aerotan agrees to help Harvon take down Torgash, she puts forth all her attention to completing her objective without any reluctance, even if it means killing other orcs she just fought beside.

A sarcastic, rare blue-skinned orc who teams up with Harvon's crew at random.
----
* AlliterativeName: Gendyl Gynjyt.
* BullyingADragon: In chapter 8, Gendyl tells Torgash right to his face that he and Harvon's crew "enjoy being an accessory to his bloody, dominating empire" and that the last thing they want is to "deprive him of splaying his dominance everywhere." Cue DeathGlare from everyone in Harvon's crew.
* DeadpanSnarker: When Gendyl isn't being condescending or pessimistic, he's usually being very witty and sarcastic.
* HeroicComedicSociopath: He's the funniest and snarkiest member of the crew who genuinely doesn't care about anyone, not even himself. He's only helping Harvon because he hates Torgash and feels like he's done nothing but get countless soldiers killed for no reason.
* PsychopathicManchild: His behavior isn't far off from a rowdy, bloodthirsty child or teenager, with his vulgar, nihilistic rants about society, and he always jokes around with everyone, even in serious situations.

!!Kosslivo Empire

The ruler of Kosslivo who leads the nation with an iron fist.
----
* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: Downplayed. A majority of the people in Kosslivo hate Torgash, want to kill him, or fear him--including his own soldiers and council members. But there are still orcs who follow him--even when they know they shouldn't--and for all the faults he's committed, his daughter still loves him.
* BadBoss: He's usually indifferent whenever any of his soldiers get killed, and he never bothers to improve the quality of his soldiers' living quarters, believing that living rough, grimy lives will toughen them up.
* BigBad: He's the central antagonist of the story, and the sole reason why Kosslivo has devolved into a Dystopia.
* EarlyBirdCameo: Torgash shows up in a few flashbacks in Literature/TheGreenWanderer, but his role in the story was very minor. It isn't until The Road to Hell... where he's properly introduced.
* KlingonPromotion: Exaggerated. During the coup he started, Torgash murdered the king and queen of Kosslivo, along with their entire council, and took the throne for himself afterwards.
* MightMakesRight: Torgash holds complete power over all of Kosslivo, and he's also the tallest and strongest orc in the nation. Unsurprisingly, almost no one challenges him directly, and he frequently abuses his power because of this.
* NeverMyFault: He never owns up to the plethora of mistakes he makes while running Kosslivo, and offloads the blame on traitors, foreign enemies of the nation, or even his daughter and other advisors.
* NonActionBigBad: For all the horrors Torgash has committed, he rarely gets directly involved in any conflicts onscreen, and usually has his soldiers and close aids handle his dirty work.
* PragmaticVillainy: Torgash is merciful at times, but only because he knows that he's better off leaving certain people alive as opposed to killing them. The only reason why people like Krun are still alive is because Torgash needs goblins like Krun to act as scouts for his army.
* TheSocialDarwinist: Believes that all orcs in Kosslivo must be strong and dominant if they are to rule the world. Those who are "useless" or "weak" end up as prisoners, or they're killed.
* TheSociopath: He cares about no one but himself and maintaining his dominance over Kosslivo. Torgash has a good relationship with his daughter, but it's implied that it isn't genuine, given the sheer amount of times he addresses her as "daughter" instead of by name, and the fact that he called her a "valued asset."
* VillainHasAPoint: Chapter 2 reveals that Torgash sanctioned a law where all soldiers must soil themselves if they need to use the bathroom. As disgusting and insane as this is, Torgash brings up how various elite orcs (and even a former king) were all killed not because they were bested by someone stronger than them, but because they were too busy using the bathroom to notice they were in danger.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: He never wears a shirt throughout the story.
* YouNeedABreathMint: Shurrmvin and Krun have both brought up that Torgash suffers from bad breath. Krun in particular tells Torgash to his face that he should "start eating centaur shit" because that would make his breath smell better.

Chorn Torgash's daughter and most trustworthy aide.
----
* ChildByRape: Bereesa is a half-orc, and Chorn regularly has human slaves imported into the nation solely so they can be breeders. It's never outright stated, but there's enough hints to show that Chorn raped and impregnated one of them several years ago.
* DaddysLittleVillain: She's the daughter of the kingdom's most fearsome tyrant. While she thinks before she acts, and tries her best to avoid bloodshed, she has no problem following his lead and practices.
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: Regardless of how she feels about her father's laws and ruling, she still loves Chorn and cares about his well-being.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Bereesa has no problem with her father ruling Kosslivo like a brute and reinforcing his laws, but she does not enjoy wanton carnage that could spark a war with other nations. She's understandably pissed off when her father appoints Mernal Mynwort to join his council, especially after he ends up starting a war with another nation that could've been avoided.
* SmugSnake: She tries to outsmart people like Mernal and form false alliances, but her plans usually backfire, and she's never wise enough to think of any backup plans.

A minotaur and freelancing warrior who is appointed to help King Torgash with his scheming.
----
* AlliterativeName: Mernal Mynwort. He also happens to be a minotaur.
* BadassGay: He's a vicious, bloodthirsty, homosexual warrior who kills first and doesn't ask questions later.
* BloodKnight: He thoroughly enjoys war, battles, and getting into as many fights as he can just for the thrill of it.
* EstablishingCharacterMoment: After shamelessly urinating in a castle corridor, Mernal introduces himself by barging into a council meeting, decapitating a member of the council, and then audacious replacing his position within Torgash's council.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: Subverted. Chapter 10 reveals that Mernal doesn't like rape and wouldn't dream of fornicating with a slave. But that's only because rape, to him, is like fighting an opponent who doesn't even try, whereas regular sex is much more ecstatic and fulfilling.
* EvilIsHammy: He's one of the more vile villains in the story, and he's incredibly outgoing, loud, and overly-expressive with his mannerisms.
* KlingonPromotion: He kills Avvut Kovmoss and immediately proclaims his position as the country's new army coordinator.
* ALoadOfBull: He's a minotaur, a humanoid bull-like creature.
* ManlyGay: He's openly gay, and he's a musky, muscle-bound brute who takes much pleasure in fornicating with equally masculine orcs.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: He never wears a shirt, only a loincloth and some traditional armor.
* XanatosSpeedChess: Mernal isn't all that smart, but he's very charismatic and capable of adjusting his plans in a matter of minutes. When Bereesa tries to get Mernal blamed for killing the Myllgardian king and queen, Mernal twists the situation to make it seem like he came up with the idea on his own as a means to further the king's agenda. And when several slaves are freed from the kingdom's dungeon and Bereesa tries to pin the blame on him, Mernal declares that he intends on staying in the kingdom indefinitely just so he can find the traitor, and also so he can further aggravate Bereesa and Psymarr.

A mysterious and deadly murid assigned to torture and interrogate many prisoners within the Kosslivan dungeons.
----
* ThePigPen: His fur is disheveled, he drools a lot, and his clothes are ripped and covered in tiny bugs.
* TheSociopath: Psymarr couldn't care less about the king's empire and the deterioration of Kosslivo. All that matters to him are the various creative ways he can torment and kill his victims.
* TortureTechnician: His expertise. Nothing pleases Psymarr more than discovering all the brutal, excruciating ways to interrogate and slowly mutilate prisoners.
* VerbalTic: Tends to drag out any words that have an "sh" combination in them, almost the same way a snake drags out an "s" in words.
* WouldHurtAChild: Chapter 3 reveals that he killed a six-year-old girl by sawing her in half groin first. The same chapter shows Psymarr having dismembered a young boy so he could devour the flesh from one of his legs.
* YouDirtyRat: He's a murid, a humanoid rat-creature. He's also one of the nastier villains in the story.

!!!Kosslivan Council

Torgash's inner circle, which is comprised of eight high-rank orc officials.
----
* MassOhCrap: None of them are happy when Torgash announces that he plans on bringing Mernal Mynwort into the country to assist him with seeking out traitors.
* PunchClockVillain: None of them seem overly malicious or demented, unlike people like Psymarr. They're all just trying to keep the country under control while Torgash continues to slowly tear it apart.

A member of King Torgash's Council.
----
* EvenEvilHasStandards: She openly complains that Torgash's murderous conquests are too brutal and are attracting unwanted attention, such as when he preemptively attacked a parade and inadvertently killed the prince and princess of an elf kingdom.

A member of King Torgash's Council.
----
* DeadpanSnarker: She has a bad habit of speaking to everyone sarcastically, especially when she knows it'll irritate them.
* EvenEvilHasStandards: She absolutely hates Psymarr for how disgusting and sadistic he is, and feels like he'll do more harm than good for Kosslivo. She's not wrong.

The kingdom's army coordinator and regional director.
----
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: He's murdered in chapter 6 in a matter of seconds. As soon as Mernal takes his position in the council, nearly everyone--sans Bereesa--forgets about his death.
* DyingToBeReplaced: Mernal killed him after Avvut bad-mouthed him, and promptly claimed his title immediately afterwards.
* KilledMidSentence: Dies while he's announcing his full title to Mernal.
* OffWithHisHead: Gets decapitated by Mernal Mynwort.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: He's killed off in his second appearance mere seconds after his full title is revealed.

A member of King Torgash's Council who handles the weapons and armor trading routes.
----
* DirtyCoward: He's noted for being spineless, and for refusing to stand up to the king because he fears the king will have him senselessly killed.
--> Chorn Torgash: "There's a spine back there?"
* FatBastard: It's mentioned that he's noticeably obese, and he's one of the council's more cowardly members.
* YesMan: Downplayed. Dyv'puun doesn't always agree with his king, but anytime he tries to go against Torgash, the king threatens him, and he meekly goes back to agreeing with whatever Torgash says.

A member of King Torgash's Council who oversees the slaves and breeders.
----
* EvenEvilHasStandards: While she seems okay with slavery, Byslucleer is horrified when she learns that many female slaves are delivering stillborn babies, and is visibly frustrated when Torgash tells her to have half of the females killed, and for the other half to "do better at giving us more half-breed heirs."

A religious member of King Torgash's Council.
----
* TokenReligiousTeammate: He's the only member of the council who's openly religious and desperately wants churches to be built, because he knows there are hundreds of orcs who also pray to the gods.

An elderly member of King Torgash's Council.
----
* TheQuietOne: She's the only member of the council who hardly says anything and mostly keeps to herself.

A member of King Torgash's Council.
----
* EvilIsPetty: Unlike everyone else in the council, who voice complaints about the poor state of Kosslivo, Illwotkot decides to complain about the fact that Bereesa interrupted him while he was fornicating with a slave.
* TheGruntingOrgasm: Apparently he sounds like "a dying bull moaning" whenever he has sex.
* Jerkass: Unlike the other councilors, Illwotkot is very brash and doesn't care about the state of Kosslivo or how the slaves are treated.

!!!Kosslivan Army

Torgash's ever-growing band of soldiers, warriors, and mercenaries.
----
* AffablyEvil: None of the orcs are AlwaysChaoticEvil, and many of them are friendly and easy to talk to. Doesn't change the fact that a lot of them are slaughtering innocents just because they're ordered to, nor does it excuse that some of them rape the slaves in Kosslivo because it's permitted there, and therefore "acceptable."
* JustFollowingOrders: Most orcs in the army are simply doing what their tyrant of a king commands of them, whether they're doing so willingly or not.
* PunchClockVillain: While morality varies between certain characters, many soldiers in the army are just fighting for their country because they have nowhere else to go or because they feel it's the right thing to do.

A young orc soldier.
----
* MauveShirt: He's a crass orc who tends to annoy other soldiers and has a few conversations with the main characters. Then he's killed off in chapter 7, and no one besides Hykler was all that disturbed by his death.
* MyCountryRightOrWrong: It's hinted that Morklox doesn't approve of the king's orders, but he doesn't care, because all orc soldiers are supposed to obey them regardless.
* PottyFailure: Unlike several other soldiers, Morklox is fine with Torgash's law enforcing soldiers to soil their britches, as demonstrated in chapter 1 where he pisses his pants on purpose.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Gets killed off in chapter 7 after establishing his role as a recurring character in the story.

One of Morklox's companions.
----
* PottyEmergency: Comes very close to pissing himself in chapter 7 while waiting for mutton to finish cooking. Although Morklox suggests that he go in his pants, he eventually retreats into the forest and pees on a tree.
* RedShirt: Nothing is known about him short of his name. He's killed off almost immediately after he's introduced.
* SlashedThroat: How Harvon kills him.

A very fat, friendly orc soldier.
----
* FatBastard: Shlodokk is so fat that he can't wear armor because it doesn't fit. It's saying something when Shurrmvin, who's also quite hefty, is dwarfed by his size.
* ManlyGay: He's a very fat orc and a brute of a warrior who isn't ashamed that he's attracted to males.
* NiceGuy: Gross as he may be, Shlodokk's is one of the more jovial orcs in the army.
* PottyFailure: It's not explicitly shown, but Shlodokk violently shat his pants at some point in chapter 7, much to Shurrmvin's disgust.
* RedShirt: Not much is known about him, short of him being friendly, openly gay, and believing that Kosslivo is a great place to live. By his second appearance, he's dead.
* SlashedThroat: How Shurrmvin kills him.
* WalkingShirtlessScene: He only wears a pair of brown pants, and constantly lets his flab hang out for all to see.
* WeHardlyKnewYe: Gets killed off in his second appearance, right when it seemed like he might've been a recurring character.
