* IndyPlot: Deconstructed. [[spoiler:During his first summoning in Ixphoria, he rushed to all the enemy bosses without a strategy in mind and preferred to come up with tactics on the fly. This worked until he ran into the Demon Lord and had no way to deal with the latter's self-revival ability. ]]

* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Despite going through a number of frustrating and humiliating situations, her healing is actually very powerful when she's not limited by the gods' rules. [[spoiler:After Seiya's first use of Valhalla's Gate, Rista manages to heal him so he can survive the backlash. Keep in mind that Valkyrie had to buff herself to max stats in order to survive the recoil of that technique. On a side note, she is also capable of reattaching severed limbs.]]

* NoodleIncident: She once summoned a ''Martian'' as a hero for a low-difficulty world and had to get them up to speed with the situation.

* UnderestimatingBadassery: Her first impression of Seiya was the result of this. Rista thought that he was a coward when he was just being cautious. When she thought that he is backing away from saving Edona, he just needed some time to level-grind. And when she thought that he couldn't take out Chaos Machina's bull form in his current state, it was when she realized that Seiya was just faking his real, higher stats.

* JerkassHasAPoint: She claims that the gods, who live safely due to their immortality and godly realm, wouldn't be able to fully comprehend the perils that mortals face. There is some truth to her words, since the gods prioritize following their rules despite that getting in the way of saving the world. Rista also didn't fully understand the weight of saving the world at the beginning of the story.

* AxCrazy: She takes joy in killing a random villager and gushes over their blood.

* EarlyBirdCameo: His silhoutte can be seen at the end of episode 6 alongside the Demon Lord [[spoiler:after they finished constructing Chain Destruction.]]

* SummonBiggerFish: Seiya utilizes this after he, along with many other gods and goddesses, are unable to defeat Crossed Thanatos, who followed them into the world of the gods. He gets Valkyrie involved not by asking nicely, since he figured she wouldn't, but by dodging an attack by Thanatos, which hits and destroys the painting Valkyrie was working on at the moment. Despite this, even Valkyrie is forced to use a DangerousForbiddenTechnique which also dealt massive damage to herself and would've been fatal had a human of used it.

* {{Unishment}}: For the "crime" of using her goddess abilities to directly interfere with the final battle between Seiya and the Gaeabrande Demon King, Rista is sentenced to [[spoiler:save the SS-Ranked world Ixphoria...the original world she lived as a mortal. In addition, she is told that since the Demon King's Chain Destruction was destroyed in the final battle, she is free to summon Seiya once again to aid her.]]

* FlatCharacter: She's only introduced to try and help Elulu with fire magic. Hestiaca only has a minimal amount of screentime compared to the other named deities since she doesn't personally train Seiya in any way, and her training with Elulu is just short-lived.

* WhenHeSmiles: [[spoiler:Before dying he finally gives a heartfelt smile upon realizing that Rista is the reincarnation of his lover from a previous life and he got to see her one last time]].

* BigDamnHeroes: [[spoiler:She saves Seiya and Rista when they're about to be killed by a werewolf that invaded the gods' realm.]]

* ChekhovsGunman: He is first seen as the shopkeeper in Izale Village whom Seiya's party brought torches from.

* AdaptionalWimp: In the anime adaptation, he doesn't even get a chance to properly fight before he's unceremoniously killed off.

* FlatCharacter: She's only introduced to try and help Elulu about fire magic. Hestiaca only had a minimal amount of screentime compared to the other named deities since she didn't personally train Seiya in any way, and her training with Elulu was just short-lived.

* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: He uses [[spoiler:Chain Destruction in an attempt to kill the real souls of any hero or god who opposes him]], preventing them from ever returning to impede him and acting as a deterrent against further divine interference.

* SkullForAHead: Its face the few times we see appears as a skull with grey skin, with its mouth being just a small line and its only facial feature being a giant black hole where its eyes should be.

* AdaptionalWimp: In the anime adaption, he doesn't even get a chance to properly fight before he's unceremoniously killed off.

* CastFromLifespan: Valhalla Gate is cast in exchange of one's [[spoiler:own life. The user could survive if they have maxed out stats, though]].

* DangerouslyGenreSavvy: Realizes that keeping tabs on a low-level area would allow her to kill any would-be heroes before they can pose a threat. Only Seiya's {{Crazy Prepared}}ness saves him in the end.

* LockedOutOfTheLoop: Apparently the Demon Lord never told him that [[spoiler:Emperor Roseguard was on their side.]]

* FlashStep: She can teleport short distances in the blink of an eye, as demonstrated when the protagonists first met her.

* LegacyCharacter: [[spoiler:During the Ixphoria arc, it's revealed that she's actually the second Goddess of War. The previous goddess, Zeth, was imprisoned within a well after she attempted to rebel against the Divine Realm.]]\

* TopGod: Played with. She's the strongest deity in terms of combat, but Ishtar has more authority.

* LegacyCharacter: [[spoiler:During the Ixphoria arc, it's revealed that she's actually the second Goddess of War. The previous goddess, Zeth, was imprisoned within a well after she attempted to rebel against the Divine Realm.]]

The emperor of Roseguard.

* NoNonsenseNemesis: He uses Chain Destruction in an attempt to kill the real souls of any hero or god who opposes him, preventing them from ever returning to impede him and acting as a deterrent against further divine interference.

* GenreSavvy: Realizes that keeping tabs on a low-level area would allow her to kill any would-be heroes before they can pose a threat. Only Seiya's {{Crazy Prepared}}ness saves him in the end.

* StupidEvil: He sends a magic mirror to Seiya so that the latter can watch him kill Mash. He doesn't realize doing so allows a very pissed off Seiya to track him down and cut him with a very long-ranged skill.

* MultiArmedAndDangerous: He has a weapon in each of his six arms.

* SkullForAHead: Its face the few times we see appears as a skull with grey skin, with no visible mouth and the only facial feature being a giant black hole where its eyes should be.

* TheFaceless: It doesn't have any clear facial features, as the head is mostly depicted to be pitch black.

* IKnowYouKnowIKnow: Beel Bub can analyze on the spot the different possibilities on how a hero can counter-him in mid-air. [[spoiler:Rista accidentally revealed that Seiya trained to counter him, so Beel Bub took Rosalie hostage. He then guessed that Seiya will snipe him from a distance, so Beel Bub flew up above the skies with Rosalie before attempting to drop her.]]

* FamousLastWords: "Rosalie... I love you."

* DirtyOldWoman: [[spoiler:A nymphomaniac goddess who has a fetish for mortals who naturally she's hundreds of years older than at least. When she can't get her hands on Seiya, she then targets Mash saying that she's "perfectly fine with a shota."]]

* UniquenessValue: Seiya is viewed a rare hero, or a "one-in-ten-billion people" genius by Rista due to his overpowered Level 1 stats.

* DisappearsIntoLight: [[spoiler:He vanishes into blue light just as his body can no longer take the punishment for summoning two Valhalla's Gates.]]

* MetaGuy: Most of her InnerMonologue comments on the absurd tactics or tropes that Seiya used recently.
