* ProductionForeshadowing: As close as it can be in a fanfic, anyway. Eschalotte, well before she was even named - as her name is borrowed from a throwaway line by Vegeta - was showcased and teased in a ''DeviantArt'' feature piece done as a request of the author. Ever since then, the character has had multiple pieces, but even as of this writing - in the Chapter Black arc - she has yet to appear.

* HeavenlyConcentricCircles: Suffusing her with divine ki from the Kaioushing's Super God Water (aka the Choshinsui) prompts her eyes to gain a concentric-ring pattern. To be more precise, she gets endowed with the soul of Earth's original god, Shangdi.

Baleful Polymorph was renamed per TRS

* BalefulPolymorph: He was turned into a candy by Majin Bū's daughter. It did nothing to stop him from fighting back.

* {{Qipao}}: Due to living with Chi-Chi, Gine's attire mirrors that of her daughter-in-law, though she wears purples and pinks, as opposed to the typical yellows and purples that Chi-Chi is associated with.

* AnimeHair: Worn tied and vaguely reminiscent of a pineapple. Identical to Kefla, but when she unties it, it is wild and untamed, like Caulifla.

* IdenticalStranger: For some unknown universe reason, Eschalotte is identical to a Caulifla with her hair tied up - i.e. Kefla. The only difference is the markings on her face, her pointed ears, and the tail. If there is reason for this, it isn't been revealed. Out-of-universe, the author has confirmed its deliberate aesthetic.

[[folder:Eschalotte]]
A Saiyan showcased far earlier than her actual introduction (which, as of this writing, is still not yet) due to the author's commissioning multiple art pieces and confirming the character would indeed be featured in the story. Nothing is known about her backstory, personality, or intended role in the story.

Not So Different has been renamed, and it needs to be dewicked/moved

* NotSoDifferent: [[spoiler: Piccolo makes this statement about himself and Videl — they were both chosen as pawns by Babidi because of the pettiness that still lies within their hearts. It's part of what makes him so interested in training the girl.]]
** [[spoiler: She also shows shades of this to ''Vegeta'' of all people. Prior to her CharacterDevelopment, Videl is motivated to become stronger purely out of petty hatred for Gohan and Erasa, the former who has done honestly nothing to her, the latter becaus she feels conflicted and betrayed due to her relationship with Gohan. Once she mellows out, Videl's driving force becomes a desire to not remain Erasa's second, and throws herself fully into her training to one day defeat her rival.]]

* DeconstructedTrope: Unlike in canon, Gohan's previous battles have scarred him a little more. Additionally, he behaves more like a normal person would, having moments where he can be selfish and not understand someone else's side (such as the fact that his mother over the past seven years hasn't gotten over her husband's death, and it's influenced her more than he would think).

** His slacking off rendered him weaker than he had been years ago.

* DeconstructedTrope: Like in canon, Videl fights criminals on the side. ''Unlike'' in canon, she quite nearly pays for it dearly, as one of the criminals happens to be a sick pervert with a [[RapeAsDrama thing for having his way with female victims]]. Mercifully, Gohan arrives in time to save her.

* MookMaker: Cell's ability to create Cell Jrs. has evolved. He is now capable of isolating the genetic material of those within his body - Gokū, Vegeta, Piccolo, Freeza, and Cold - and creating stronger versions of them to use as his minions.
* NoNonsenseNemesis: Cell, despite having the singular goal of luring Gohan out when he arrives, does make sure to take extra necessary steps before the Saiyan makes his appearance. This includes attempting - but failing - to kill Dende to ensure there are no Dragon Balls to thwart his plans.
* {{Pride}}: A trait he possesses that Hell, and training for an unspecified amount of time, have no tempered. Considering he is made of two Saiyans, a Nameccian "demon", and two mutants with egos the size of various planets, it tracks.
* {{Sadist}}: Nothing about Cell has mellowed during his time in Hell, including traits such as these. For the pure purpose of luring Gohan out, Cel proceeds to lay waste to the planet, from scorching with his own attacks to mercilessly and pointlessly killing humans who tried to defend themselves and any strong fighter who opposes him.
