* ForYourOwnGood: He would always, always, ''always'' phrase his abuse upon Hiroto as if he was somehow doing the poor kid a favor with constant deprivation enforced by violence and screaming. His wife, son, and store employees wouldn't put up with this self-serving narrative and retaliated, to his shock, horror, and endless frustration.

The unnamed and numerous scientists and researchers who experimented on Vandalieu for all his life, until one of them accidentally killed him, come back to life using his magic and slaughter every researcher and guard on his path.

The unnamed uncle of Hiroto Amamiya who was supposed to look after him after the deaths of his parents, instead he abused him and denied him everything he considered "too luxurious for someone like him".

* AbusiveParents: Slapped his nephew whenever he felt frustrated (but not punching since he thought slapping was okay to discipline kids), and while there were not physical scars, the emotional scars were many.

* EvilUncle: After his brother died, he was supposed to look after Hiroto, but instead he denied him even basic necessities to Van since they were 'too luxurious for someone like him' and that he 'needed to learn about humility'. He prohibited things like: meals that weren't cheap (God forbid the food said 'Deluxe' in the name or packaging), toys, TV (unless it was for documentaries and even then, he changed his opinion all the time), traveling, clothes, etc. [[{{Hypocrite}} Of course, such rules didn't apply for him and his family]].

* HumanoidAbomination: At first glance he looks like a human with four eyes, wearing a mask covered in open mouths even where his ears should be, a small black fur coat on his head and white hair. But the 'mask' is actually his face, the coat is actually an external membrane with fur growing from it. As for the inside, his arms were made from multiple bones and his body contained multiple skeletons, which were all supported by jointed legs and covered haphazardly in exoskeleton and carapace.

!!Zakkart
The Champion of Vida and leader of the Creation-oriented champions. Once a man named Sakado Keisuke, he was the manager of a small factory who considered committing suicide when he was summoned into Lambda. Unlike Bellwood, he was far more open-minded and believed the conflict wasn't as black and white as previously thought, convincing several Evil Gods to defect from the Demon King's side. He and the other four champions were killed by the Demon King, with the fragments of their souls being taken by Rodcorte into his system, creating an entirely new soul that would eventually reincarnate as Vandalieu.

* DomesticAbuser: Without his nephew or son to take his frustrations, he and his wife turned on each other, leading to their divorce.

* BaldOfEvil: One of the researchers is bald in the manga, and he was an amoral bastard who treated Van as barely more than an animal. And even when Van is freed, is very rightly pissed and just killed his co-worker in front of him, all he does is give a SlaherSmile and be excited on how Van's new ability could be researched; Van kills him before he even finishes the thought.

* BaldOfEvil: One of the researchers is bald in the manga, and he was an amoral bastard who treated Van as barely more than an animal.

Former fellow victims of the un-named Origin "research" facility, they were freed by "The Undead" only to helplessly watch him gunned down by The Hundred Bravers, who then turned them over to an international organization that claimed to want to "help" them, by putting them in the same kind of circumstances they were forced to endure in that research facility.

!!Common To All:
* CrimeOfSelfDefense: They became labeled a terrorist organization for the "crime" of escaping the labs that locked them up and performed experiments on death magic upon them, against their will.
* DeathSeeker: They desperately wanted to die, but committing suicide was out of the question, as that would waste the life the Undead gave them, so they sought out to take down as many of the amoral "researchers" and Hundred Bravers as they could with them, going out in battle.
* DespairEventHorizon: Jumped right over it the moment "The Undead" was shot down before their eyes, and the Hundred Bravers handed them over to a whole new "research" laboratory, new faces, same treatment, and escape? Even going into hiding, a normal, peaceful life is impossible, and even death is not an escape as the corpse will just be fodder for more "research."
* EveryoneHasStandards: They gained popularity because they were strictly focused on only one goal: Eliminating illegal research centers focusing on the death attribute. Only researchers, guards and other directly involved personnel would be killed while everyone else would be let go. Even guards would be spared if they surrendered. In her free time, Pluto also performed acts of healing and mercy kills for the terminally ill, gaining even more popularity. Also, they refuse to kill children [[spoiler:which is why they spared Narumi when the Hundred Braves attacked: She was already pregnant with Mei.]]
* TakingYouWithMe: They knew it was only a matter of time before they were killed by their enemies, so they made sure to take as many Bravers as they could with them to the next life.
* UndyingLoyalty: To the Undead, the one being who did ''anything'' nice to them without asking anything in return.
* WhatWouldXDo: Before they became the Eighth Guidance, they decided to do their best to follow what the Undead would do based on their limited knowledge of him. They came to the conclusion that they should destroy death attribute researchers, free research subjects and not to kill the innocent.
* YourTerroristsAreOurFreedomFighters: "Terrorism" is their only option to deal with all the multi-billionaires, politicians, "scientists," and the Hundred Bravers who made their lives hell!

!!Pluto
* DeityOfHumanOrigin: [[spoiler:A deity version of Pluto is born in Origin after the original is long dead, thanks to people seeing her as a goddess who saved them from death. She's still to young too influence the world yet]].
* HealingHands: After stealing the life of one person, she can give it back to another.
* TheLeader: Of the Eight Guidance
* LifeDrinker: Her "Death Magic" attribute allows her to steal the life of others either for herself or for whomever she desires.
* MyDeathIsJustTheBeginning: Trying to perform an autopsy on her corpse is a fundamentally bad idea, as Murakami and his "Federal Nation" allies found out the hard way.
* VagueAge: She looks like she's in her teens, but her age and appearance haven't changed for at least a decade when she's introduced in the Origin side-story arc. Her real age is unknown.
* WomanInWhite: Her main outfit was a simple one piece white dress.
* WouldNotHurtAChild: When she realized Amemiya Nanami was pregnant, she did everything she could to spare the latter's life.
* WoundedGazelleGambit: She pretended to be hurt and helpless so that Nanami would be lured close enough to touch her.

!!Baba Yaga
* GirlishPigtails: Her style, which was useful to get her enemies to lower their guard around her.
* IncendiaryExponent: She can cause any body, animal, human, dead, or alive, to com-bust, even her own.
* ISurrenderSuckers: She faked her surrender so she could lure Asagi close enough to take him with her when she blew herself up.
* ShutUpKirk: To Asagi, who had to have it spelled out for him why the Hundred Bravers were so hated, and why a normal, peaceful life was impossible for the Eight Guidance. He realizes suddenly that they truly were screwed from the start... and then she burns him to death.

!!Valkyrie
* AndThenJohnWasAZombie: After being gunned down, she gets back up and starts to stumble around, becoming another "Brave Warrior." Her corpse has to be completely destroyed, which defeats the purpose of the "special ops" units sent after them.
* BigBreastPride: She has the habit of proudly puffing out her large chest.
* BoisterousWeakling: Valkyrie was loud, brash and big, but because she had an artificial heart she was actually really physically weak.
* HollywoodCyborg: Her heart was surgically removed and replaced with a mana-powered pump, purely as a "proof of concept" that she still had mana in her body. She is understandably not thrilled at this treatment.
* LargeHam: Valkyrie pretty much all the time, often speaking in a loud and exaggerated manner, proclaiming how her "Brave Warriors" (zombies) will bring victory. The military uniform and flag help too.

!!Jack
* KindheartedSimpleton: Jack is implied to be hydrocephalic or possibly some magical equivalent, which has left him with a rather simple and innocent personality.
* ThirdPersonPerson: Jack refers to himself this way.
* TogetherInDeath: He and Hitomi killed Mao Smith, and died together when her plane fell.
* TransportersAndTeleporters: Can teleport himself and someone else whenever the person in question is about to die. He and Gazer took advantage of her prediction powers to surprise Mao Smith and fatally injure her.

!!Ghost
* PerceptionFilter: Ghost's ability makes him be unable to be perceived by those around him, pointing out that security cameras, sensors or even being in direct sight of people make him acknowledged until he announce his presence by touching others or talking.
* TheSneakyGuy: He's so good at being unnoticed, not even '[[CombatClairvoyance Odin]]' Akira Hazamada and '[[SuperSenses Super Sense]]' Kaoru Gotouta were able to detect him, leading to their deaths.
* TakingYouWithMe: Decapitated Tendou knowing he would be killed immediately afterwards.

!!Izanami
* AmbiguousGender: Because of the tumors, her gender was unable to be determined by sight alone. She was originally female and, with Van's help, eventually manages to piece together a good approximation of what she ''should'' look like.
* AndThenJohnWasAZombie: After overuse of her abilities kills her, her corpse transforms into yet another "Yomo" type creature. Forcing her body's complete destruction.
* BodyHorror: Her body was covered with protuberances the size of babies' heads growing all over her body, which were considered tumors.
* MookMaker: Izanami has the ability to create from her own tumors Yomotsushikome, masses of flesh about the size of medium-sized dogs, each with four short limbs with sharp claws and a mouth filled with fangs that looked as if it had been pasted onto the body and Yomotsuikusa, skinless ape-looking creatures which, while not very strong, are useful for {{Zerg Rush}}ing.

!!Shade
* ItOnlyWorksOnce: If he were to take over the body of a living person, he would be unable to leave, and if that person died, he could not transfer his soul to a new body. He takes over Endou's body and commits suicide after sending the Bravers a plan that will ensure several casualties.
* OurSoulsAreDifferent: He's a body less entity that can take over recently made corpses. If he were to take over a living body, he would not be able to leave until he died.

!!Isis
* DreadlockRasta: She's a beautiful black woman with dreadlocks.
* {{Necromancer}}: She's able to create undead with the same strength they had while alive, but it takes her from one hour to half a day in order to take full effect.
* NoSell: Because she controls her body using only her soul, Hajime's ability to control the nervous system becomes useless since she has no nervous-impulses he can take over.
* SuicideAttack: Tries to kill Hajime with the bomb implanted in her head, and while she fails, she prevents the United nations from recovering her body.

!!Ereshkigal
* AttackReflector: She can reflect any injuries that she receives on her target, although that means risking herself enormously.
* ItOnlyWorksOnce: Her ability to reflect the injuries inflicted on her would only be useful if she was killed, which she used to kill Ifrit with her own power.

!!Enma
* BlackEyesOfCrazy: His sclera was black, which must have looked crazy to outsiders.
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: He's able to know the names and faces of those who have died in the world, regardless of how long its been.
* NonActionGuy: His ability is completely useless for combat and he has no combat abilities either.
* ThanatosGambit: Pretended to attack Pluto and lets himself be killed so Pluto can touch the Bravers.

!!Berserk
* AwesomeButImpractical: Its ability to take over a host requires it to parasitize the brain, but since the fur is noticeably the main body, this leaves it vulnerable to fire and light magic. The only reason it was so effective in the fight against the United Nations was thanks to Melissa's Aegis.
* BearsAreBadNews: Looks like bear fur, and can turn its host into a mindless beast.
* TheBerserker: Takes over a body and turns it into a maddened beast, like the berserkers from myth.
* MeaningfulName: It's literally a bear sark (skin), the origin of the word berserk. Or at least it looks that way.
* TokenNonHuman: Berserk is the only member that wasn't human, instead it was a parasitic organism that looked like bear fur.
