* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: One of the most triumphant examples of this trope as far as the TCZ franchise is concerned. Strangely though, is that the initial release of the first volume of TCZ I showed her on the cover (which is the only colored portion of the manhua then) with (depending on whether you got the English or Chinese version) dark brown hair for the former and black (with a tint of dark olive) hair on the latter.

* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Has a head of purple hair, though it remains to be seen whether her hair color is the result of dyes or natural.

* BaldOfEvil: But carries none of the [[BaldOfAwesome badass elements normally associated with it]].

* CrazyPrepared: [[spoiler: During his battle with [[BloodKnight Apocalyptic]] [[TheSociopath Time]] he actually had his BeehiveBarrier put up in advance, [[GenreSavvy knowing full well]] that Time would start the fight by spamming his [[TimeStandsStill time freeze]] [[CombatPragmatist right off the bat]]. Did I forget to mention that Tai Yi Dao's shield is [[NoSell next to]] [[NighInvulnerable impenetrable]]? [[CurbStompBattle There was nothing Apocalyptic Time could do]].]]

* FriendToAllChildren: One of her CharacterEstablishingMoments; after [[CurbStompBattle making short work]] of a bunch of {{Mooks}} that had earlier decimated a village, Chi Xue stumbles upon a group of children who survived due to said goons deciding to [[KickTheDog save the best for the last]], and gently reassures them that she will lead them to safety. [[spoiler:This was also used to her disadvantage in Volume 6, when Jade Rabbit uses some brainwashed children to act as a decoy to draw Chi Xue out. Her concern for children was so much so that even while severely handicapped by a GameBreakingInjury [[{{Determinator}} she continued]] [[CrowningMomentOfAwesome to fight her enemies]] ''[[CrowningMomentOfHeartWarming while shielding said child]]''. It was only until later did we that it was discovered that said child she was shielding was already done in by a lethal dose of poison that was inflicted beforehand. Potential TearJerker, anyone?]]

* BadAss: Not King Hippu, but his father before him - though said character was only mentioned. However, to be regarded as a WorthyOpponent by Lord Namuh probably suggests the late King Trioculus was most likely [[AuthorityEqualsAsskicking quite a]] [[RoyalsWhoActuallyDoSomething fearsome warrior king]].

* BadAss: For the first one-third of the series she's shown to have little to no difficulty handling whatever opposition stands in her way.

* BadAss: Oh yes!
** BadassNormal: Even before developing spiritual powers, she single-handedly defeated a {{Mook}} from the Evil Way. Granted, it was a Ghost, the lowest-ranked of {{Mooks}}, but as [[MrExposition Wang Chan]] had put it, even the lowliest of goons from the Celestial Zone would make short work of normal (that is, those without spiritual powers) people.
** TookALevelInBadass: Developed spiritual powers.

* '''BadAss''': Without a doubt, one of the most BadAss members of the cast.

* TookALevelInBadass: Not that he wasn't a BadAss to begin with, but come TCZ II it's clear he'd gained quite a few levels of BadAss.

* EvilIsHammy: Is quite the LargeHam with all his BadassBoasts, much to the annoyance of his fellow generals, indicating that he's pretty much [[PaperTiger all bark and no bite]].

** Vol. 4 features a CliffHangerEnding that introduced [[SmugSnake Snap Assault Peter]] who promptly introduces Lavender to the ground via an energy blast equivalent of a HeyYouHaymaker. [[spoiler: The next volume reveals that Lavender pretty much did a NoSell on Peter's attack.]]

* LadyInRed: Sure, the red is there. But Chi Xue subverts the common notions associated with said trope by having a red outfit that is as un-fanservicey as they come.
** Played straight by the Mazakala clone on the other hand, whose outfit essentially amounts to an anachronistic number that combines elements of SensualSpandex, ChainmailBikini and SpyCatsuit into one spicy MsFanservice package.
