* AncestralWeapon: Although Mandalorian armors are apparently reforged by every new wearer, they're still considered the same set, and their historical and cultural significance is great enough that Mandalorians would rather risk death by a weapon designed specifically against it, than use other armors.

* AfterTheEnd: Mandalore wasn't in particularly great shape before the Clone Wars, but the Empire's actions during the Purge wrecked the place even further, to the extent Mandalorians ''refused'' to go near it. Even getting through the atmosphere is rough, and on the ground the planet is pretty much unliveable, with a small group of survivors only barely eking out a living. Underneath the ground, however, there are signs the planet could recover, and at least some of the planet's megafauna specimens are alive.

** The New Mandalorian government during the Clone Wars has many parallels to the Weimar Republic: Like the German monarchy after the nation's defeat in World War I, Mandalore's militaristic leaders were at some point overthrown and replaced by a new, democratic government that sought to establish peaceful relations with its neighbors. In both cases, however, the new government was undermined by corruption, internal struggles, and extremist groups tyring to revive the old, war-like ways, leading to its eventual takeover by another authoritarian leader.

Not only was molten metal pouring down from where he was, but his Star Destroyer explodes soon after. Also, unlike Hark, he wasn't shown fleeing at the last minute either, so I think it's fair enough to say that he didn't make it. * RedHerring: Before the airing of "Legacy of Mandalore", it was commonly speculated and heavily implied that she was Sabine's mother, due to their helmets with eye decals (something that would later be {{retcon}}ned by ''The Clone Wars'' Season 7), the artstyle of ''Son of Dathomir'' giving Kast vaguely Asian features, both women's relationships to Death Watch, and similar appearance to Sabine (as [[invoked]]WordOfGod established that Sabine's armor was deliberately modeled after Rook's). Gar Saxon's appearance on the show further helped with this line of speculation.
