Following the defeat of the [[Characters/StarWarsSithOrder Sith]], the [[Characters/StarWarsGalacticRepublic Galactic Republic]] enjoyed a centuries-long period of peace and prosperity known as the High Republic era, where both it and the [[Characters/StarWarsHighRepublicEraJedi Jedi Order]] were said to be at its peak. Unfortunately, various threats still existed that would terrorize the galaxy, leading to the eventual decline of the Republic and the rise of Darth Sidious.
