Her editor specifically asks to be drawn as a harp seal. Later, when Honda travels to Taiwan, another employee of the publisher accompanies her but not before requesting to be drawn as a koala.

* FemaleMonsterSurprise: While the anime portays Honda as a man voiced by Creator/SomaSaito, the real Honda is a woman. She was even amused that because woman readers found her author avatar cute that when the anime came around they decided to change her gender for the show.
