* AxCrazy: Very much in the first story arc. She acts cute at first to later punish the boys in unpleasant and violent ways without any apparent reason, became obsessed to see Kiyoshi pee at any cost after he accidentally saw her peeing, and her madness become more evident as time goes on, to the point when she even tries to cut Kiyoshi's "[[UnusualEuphemism eryngii]]" after she remembers the inccident she has with him in the infirmary (who was her fault to begin with). She mostly loses this character trait of hers after she was sent to prison.

* {{Flanderization}}: She was already very busty at the start of the series, but not in an unusual way. However, as series continued and the art style evolved her breasts kept getting larger and larger. In the late parts of the series they're now almost as big as her head.

* NeverLiveItDown: InUniverse, shitting his pants in class did terrible things to his already bad reputation. It earns him the nickname "shitty four-eyes" used frequently by Meiko, and even his friends can't resist poking fun at him for it well after the fact.

* FatalFlaw: His refusal to acknowledge his perverted side, and his dishonesty. The former gets him into trouble because he feels like it's a part of him that can't be forgiven, and thus it feeds into the latter in a big way when [[spoiler:he straight up lies about willingly wearing Hana's panties]]. On the dishonesty part, his constant lying only built up over time with how he could get away with it, but the moment he's actually confronted with telling the truth, he embarrasses himself. He does eventually acknowledge these flaws, [[spoiler: albeit only after all his lies are exposed to Chiyo in the most degrading, humiliating way possible.]]

* HumiliationConga: The final two arcs are a huge one for him. By wearing Hana's panties and having his pants fall down during the Calvary battle, all the girls in school think him a pervert and he's ostracized. Then when time comes for Chiyo's birthday party, he's forced to admit all his perversions and wrongdoings, forcibly stripped to reveal he's ''still'' got Hana's panties on, and then proceeds to pee all over himself while Hana gloats.

* TokenWholesome: A clever subversion. Hana is the most modestly dressed of all the female characters in the series, and the mangaka never drew her with her nipples exposed to the reader. However, her obsession with Kiyoshi made her the most perverted female character in the series.

Besides her usually modestly dressed self, the times when she was shown in any state of nudity was when she's engaged in activities conventionally viewed as "not sexy" - toilet-based activities. * BigEgoHiddenDepths: It's easy to write Gakuto off as an arrogant nerd from first impressions alone, but he very quickly proves himself to not only be every bit as smart as he acts like he is, but also an amazing friend who will put his life and reputation on the line for the sake of those he cares about. As the series goes on, he continues to show off just how outstanding of a guy he is, all without every dropping his initial pretentiousness.

* NoSocialSkills: His idea of a FriendshipMoment is ranting about the UsefulNotes/SengokuJidai for three minutes straight without allowing the person he's talking to to get a word in. It's heavily implied that he didn't have any friends before meeting the other four.
