* NamesTheSame: Yuki's surname 'Jakuzure' is an obvious send up to Nonon Jakuzure from the anime Kill la Kill.

* GrumpyBear: Is easily upset or rumbled, and can therefore take some kind words from those around her to cheer her up.

* HypotheticalCasting: [=MacVeigh=] claims that his design is based off of Creator/RichardBurton, and if possible, he would have his voice if the comic was adapted to film (though he knows that Burton died, he still thinks that if the software was available to recreate the voices of deceased actors, singers or other celebrities, we could one day hear Richard Burton’s voice on the big screen once again).

* {{Adorkable}}: Siobhan demonstrates this in many instances, being quite quirky at times but full of youthful energy and enthusiasm when the mood takes her.

The island’s newest resident, Maddie became an immediate friend of Siobhan and Ebony thanks to her kindhearted generosity and desire to understand those closest to her. It was because of these conscientious traits that she was able to mend the gap that had formed between the two girls, helping Siobhan to overcome her fear of rejection due to her sexuality and finally reuniting the two lovers. Around that time as well she formed a romantic attachment to the island’s mechanic Andrew Taylor and now the pair are besotted with each other as they plan their future together.

* ADayInTheLimelight: Despite her reduced presence in this series, she does at least get this in Volume 10 when [[spoiler: she and Andy get married]].
* DemotedToExtra: While she was the main character in the ''Maddie'' series, here, she only appears sporadically. Lampshaded by [=MacVeigh=] when she reappears in Volume 8 after being absent for a while:

The island’s mechanic, Andrew Taylor, much like Siobhan, was brought back from the brink of despair following the death of his mother to cancer and his abandonment on the Isle of Hue by his Trade Unionist father. Since then he has come to appreciate the finer things in life and strives to better himself in society. However, in spite of his ambitions, he could not escape the lonely life he now inhabited on the island; that was until Maddie Grey came along. Very quickly Maddie brought love and affection back into his life, with the duo now inseparable as they begin to settle themselves into successful futures in the working world.

* NicePerson: Renée, despite her history, is shown to still be a nice and approachable woman; never allowing the strain of her divorce or struggles of balancing a job and finances ever get to her. This is reflected in the way she raised Siobhan.

* HairTriggerTemper: While not as moody as Siobhan, she has been demonstrated to have a short temper throughout both this and the previous series.

* CoolTeacher: He likes to go for a more hands on approach when it comes to flight training and lets Ebony do a takeoff on her first day as opposed to making her sit in lessons for weeks before she goes anywhere near a plane. He also operated transport aircraft during the Korean War and the Suez Crisis. Plus, even after finding out that Ebony is a lesbian, he doesn't kick her off his course, and is actually supportive of her relationship.

* FatalFlaw: Ebony can sometimes act a little too much on impulse, landing both her and Siobhan in trouble; one instance being where she kisses Siobhan in front of a policeman, for which he reprimands them.[[spoiler: More disturbingly is when Ebony impulsively comments about their relationship out loud in a rural Florida bar, resulting in two outraged, homophobic patrons beating the two girls senseless and leaving them both mentally and physically scarred]].

* {{Gayngst}}: Siobhan's constant fear is that her sexuality will derail her future success; which makes her extremely nervous and easily rumbled. However, when her and Ebony's relationship is frowned upon or challenged, she will defend it passionately.[[spoiler: Taken a step further after their beating in Volume 11, where Siobhan comes to realise that their relationship is abnormal and therefore they deserved everything they got. However, her boss, John Wilson, reassures her that it's not]].

* BerserkButton: Do NOT shame her sexuality or her relationship with Ebony.
