* EvenEvilHasStandards: He's not fond of Bakuzan's arrogant behaviour, such as eating all remaining monsters cells or thinking of himself as the most powerful monsterr in the world.

* WouldHurtAChild: [[spoiler:Grooming a Child Emperor and attempting to turn him into monster certainly counts, though in Phoenix Man's eyes it's a bit more complicated. Later when Child Emperor rejects the idea of joining to his side, he completely throws his affability and tries to eat kid's brain.]]

* WeCanRuleTogether: They give a Monster Cell to Sonic, offering him a place in the Monster Association.

* DubNameChange: Called "Super S" in the Viz translations, and in other places sometimes "Crossbow S" (a pun on the character used to spell her Japanese name).

* UncertainDoom:

* TeethClenchedTeamwork: They don't get along very well, and there are rules in place forbidding them from killing each other. There's also the implication that once their common enemy the Hero Association is gone, they'll devolve into fighting each other.

* HeroKiller: Kills Zombieman A LOT of times before his defeat.

* KillAllHumans: His main goal because he believes that all HumansAreBastards.

* EvilCounterpart: To Pig God. Both are fat beings who fight by using their mouths and eating.

* VillainousGlutton: Seemingly lives to eat and nothing else. Fuher Ugly outright states nothing angers Gums more than being denied a meal.

* AnyoneCanDie: [[spoiler:At the end of the Human Monster Saga, merely a few surive or are MIA, and even then all of them are in their weakened states. So far the ones revealed to still be alive are: Psykos, Black Sperm, Black Rover and. Phoenix Man. The rest who's fate remain unknown are: Nyan, Gale Wind and Hellfire Flame, Devil Long Hair, Do-S, Electric Catfish Man, Maiko Plasma, Marshall Gorilla, Reptera and Manako.]]

* JustEatHim: [[spoiler:Eaten by Pig God who came back to make sure no enemies are remaining.]]

* NotSoHarmlessVillain: He might look like a Mook, but he's actually quite powerful and nearly impossible to kill through pure physical force. Iairon notes that if it managed to assimilate the ''ocean'' it would be all but unstoppable. Sure enough, [[spoiler:he becomes upgraded to Evil Ocean Water when he connects with the ocean itself and is now easily one of the greatest threats to humanity alongside Sage Centipede.]]
* OffhandBackhand: Saitama pretty much evaporates it with a single punch. [[GoodThingYouCanHeal He gets better, though...]]

* FateWorseThanDeath: Nyan may not be dead but considering [[TheyWouldCutYouUp what's in store for him]], he's gonna wish he was.

* ScrewThisImOutOfHere: Tends to run away when his surprise attacks fail to put down his enemy with the first blow. When facing Puri Puri Prisoner he's merely unsettled by the Hero's "loving nature" (see FreudianExcuse above) and disturbed to the point of running away. When he attacks Saitama, he's completely freaked out by his inability to inflict damage on him (And probably for the fact he just nonchalantly defeated Rover, which is by no means easy), prompting Nyan to run away.

* BlowYouAway: He created a gust of wind strong enough to blow Bang, Bomb, Garou, and Genos away.

* KilledOffForReal: In the original Chapter 100, Child Emperor killed him by stabbing him through the chest. [[spoiler: However, the redrawn Chapter 100 has him escape the encounter in the form of a tiny, harmless chick.]]

* OhCrap: In the original Chapter 100, he has one when he realizes in his haste to tear off his costume and remove Child Emperor's tickling machine, he also just removed the source of his powers.

* SmallNameBigEgo: Originally claims to be of a higher disaster level than Demon, but [[KidHero Child Emperor]] proves otherwise. That is, until he came back to life as Phoenix Man Reincarnated, a Dragon-level threat.

* WeCanRuleTogether: [[spoiler:Offers Child Emperor a chance to become a monster like him and join his side to make a whole new group.]]

* UncertainDoom: They, along with several other monsters, survived being eaten by Vacuuma. Deciding things are getting a little too hairy, the couple decide to run from the battle and have yet to be seen again.

* BroughtDownToNormal: After the collapse of the Monsters Association [[spoiler: with the underground base literally falling atop of him.]] Rover has shrunk down considerably to a more manageable size.

* KickTheSonOfABitch: He's such a sadistic jerk that [[spoiler: Garou kicking a hole through his stomach and leaving him helpless to do anything but painfully melt to death is treated as a heroic, redeeming moment]].

* {{Foil}}: Proves to be one to both Saitama and Child Emperor. He is a hard working man who desired to be strong, but lost hope in both working with people and monsters. He wants to have real allies, people he can trust and won't screw him over. He became a monster after he was fired from his job while Saitama became a hero. He is a good leader and strategist like Child Emperor, but more mature yet less hopeful. He even develops "Saitama bored face" in his penguin mode. [[spoiler:In the end, he is reduced to a harmless state and becomes Saitama's pet along with Black Sperm and Rover making them all potentially strong [[ChekhovsGunman Chekhov's gunmen.]]]]

* MoreTeethThanTheOsmondFamily: Pretty much any points on his body that aren't his horns are gruesome, draconic teeth.[[spoiler: Easily has more mouths than the Osmonds too]].

* WhipItGood: She has shown great skill with her whip in combat. She can dish out multiple hits with just a single crack of her whip. Plus, Do-S uses hypnosis in unison with her whip in combat.

* SamusIsAGirl: Saitama, Flashy Flash, and the readers wouldn't have realized she was a girl until she opened her mouth and Saitama idly noted her name sounded feminine.

* JustEatHim: Manages to eat Pig God, who fights his way back out, and later one of Genos's arms. [[spoiler:He also eats Tanktop Master in the manga, who is only saved by the timely arrival of Bang literally tearing him out of Gums. But thanks to his [[CLothesMakeYouSuperman tanktop, he would probably survive anyway.]]

* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: Had this done to him in the past by the Monster King and deals it to Suiryu in the present. On a personal level, he's fully aware of this trope in general and [[spoiler:advises Bakuzan not to get too caught up in his newfound power, pointing out that he himself is still much stronger than the newly transformed Bakuzan]] with the [[AuthorityEqualsAsskicking Monster King Orochi]] being even stronger still. Then [[spoiler:he runs into Saitama, who of course is the "someone better" to everyone else on the ''planet.'']]

* EvilIsBigger: As the King of Monsters, he’s one of the biggest monsters in the Monster Association, with only Centichoro and possibly Hundred-Eye Octopus dwarfing him

* OmnicidalManiac: Desires the complete destruction of the human race and a world where only the strongest of monsters can live. [[spoiler: In her younger years as a villain, she merely wanted to TakeOverTheWorld, but some vision she saw in the future convinced her that HumansAreTheRealMonsters and the only solution was complete annihilation on behalf of the monsters- despite being human herself.]]

* SuperToughness / Super Strength: He takes all of Garou's attacks during their clash without any visible damage or even much reaction. WordOfGod states that he could even take a few of ''Saitama's'' punches and keep going. [[spoiler:Indeed, even when Saitama's punch tears him apart, he manages to survive and even return with the capability to harm '''Tatsumaki''' even in a weakened state.]]
* TeamKiller: Kills many, MANY Tiger level monster just to power himself or by accident in his fights with Garou, Saitama and Tatsumaki and few demon level monsters like Awakened Cockroach for their failed usefullness.

* AdaptationalBadass: In the manga, [[spoiler:Psykos]] can clash with Tatsumaki and put up something of a fight though was outmatched, until combining with [[spoiler:Orochi's Heart Element]] that allowed for an OneWingedAngel form with increased power caused by absorbing other monsters resulting in the battle to turn, and Tatsumaki to be seriously injured for the first time. In the webcomic, Tatsumaki's injuries came from all of the Monster Association executives ganging up on her.

* AdaptationalBadass: Already one of the strongest Monster Association member to begin with, the manga [[spoiler:increases his cell stock from 11 trillion to 54 trillion and allows him to access an even more powerful SuperMode in Platinum Sperm.]] Golden Sperm himself looks MUCH more muscular in the manga then webcomic.

* EnemyMine: [[spoiler: Attempts to do this with Garou against their fight with Flashy Flash, but he rejects it, which greatly frustrates Platinum Sperm.]]

* TheReasonYouSuckSpeech: He gives one to Blackluster (as Golden Sperm) and Flash (as Platinum Sperm) for being more concerned with protecting their pride in their abilities than actually doing their jobs as heroes once they've been pushed into a corner. He caps it off saying that a true hero that protects the weak does not exist. [[spoiler: Which is obviously wrong, considering heroes in series like Mumen Rider, Saitama or to an extent even Garou.]]

* SuperToughness: And how! Was unfazed from unawakened Garou's best attack. He even resisted Saitama's legendary [[OneHitKill Death Blow]] (although it was because Saitama was treating him as merely a huge dog and wasn't trying to kill him) and remained strong enough to take on three individuals equal to S-Class in strength with ease. [[spoiler: That being all said, as much as he can takes, each time he gets a bit smaller, eventually becoming a dog-size monster.]]

* TeamKiller: Kills a trio of demon level monsters and a few tiger ones during his attack on Garou.

* AdaptionalBadass: He's MUCH harder opponent in the manga than webcomic, mostly because of his Vomited SuperForm and it takes more few S-Class heroes [[spoiler: and Awakened Garou]] to actually defeat him.

* SuperToughness: He was able to brush off Genos' kick without much problem and tank several hits from Bang before the latter got serious. [[spoiler:He even survived being bathed in Gums' stomach acids.]]

* FreudianExcuse: He's ugly and envious of good looking people, which made him evil.

* AcidAttack: [[spoiler:After being bathed in Gums' stomach acids, Fuhrer Ugly can weaponize his melting body to launch acidic globs that eat through most things they touch. Victims include a Black Sperm copy, Superalloy Blackluster, and Atomic Samurai's sword.]]

* AdaptationalExpansion: Receives more characterization and plays a much more substantial role in the manga.
* AdaptationalPersonalityChange: Is far more rational and pragmatic in the manga than the [[SmallNameBigEgo delusional and arrogant]] webcomic version, understanding that there are many heroes and monsters much stronger than him. That said, [[spoiler:after learning that Orochi WasOnceAMan]], he seeks to reach even greater power someday. More closely resembles his original personality once he reaches his Dragon state, though in this case his bite is much more capable of matching his bark.

* AssholeVictim: Their intent is too wrecck havoc and kill as many innocent people and heroes as they can, so very few tears are shered when they die gruesomely thanks to heroes or even some of their members.

* DifficultySpike: After the Hero Association invades the MA's headquarters and steamrolls over the weaker monsters, they run into these guys and very nearly lose.

* MakingASplash: He is capable of firing of firing devastating high-speed jets of water in an instant. The jets of water are about as fast as bullets, fast enough to be almost impossible to track and predict, and have a high enough penetrating power to punch through metal like a high-pressure water cutter.

* {{Expy}}: Of Akuma/Gouki from StreetFighter. He's a martial artist who embraced a darker route to achieve power, who corrupts other fighters into becoming powerful monsters, just like what Akuma tries to do with Ryu. He also physically resembles Akuma, from his hair to the clothes he's wearing.

* WorfEffect: Is one of the first monsters affiliated with the Monster Association to appear alongside Venus Mantrap, and the first of the giant centipede line. He gets brutally killed off-panel by Metal Bat shortly after.
