** Gasparde resembles Crocodile, in that he's a tall, cunning, and physically powerful individual with a Logia that can be negated by an external element -- water for Crocodile's Sand-Sand Fruit, flour for Gasparde's Candy-Candy Fruit. However, Crocodile is a master of his Devil Fruit who uses it in many complex ways, whilst Gasparde seems content to rely on his most basic tricks.
** Gasparde has a Devil Fruit with the ability to produce and manipulate an endless supply of a specific food, which is very similar to the Mochi-Mochi Fruit and Cream-Cream Fruit used by Charlotte Katakuri and Charlotte Opera respectively.
** Gasparde's Devil Fruit being based on candy syrup is also very similar to the Lick-Lick Fruit of Charlotte Perospero, with the difference being Gasparde's fruit lets Gasparde turn his body into candy syrup, whilst Perospero can only generate and manipulate candy syrup.

** His bio states he was a former slave of the World Nobles and hates people with massive wealth and power. Yet ''his'' actions in governing Gran Tesoro are virtually no different than them and he apparently can't see the irony of that. There's even a part in the movie where he sees his past self on the day he was made a slave in Luffy when Luffy is struggling to get up. It shocks him for a bit before he decides to continue on with his attack.
** He likewise has a rule of his ship that amounts to "If you get swindled, it's your own fault". Of course the moment ''he'' is outwitted by the Straw Hats in the climax, he ends up throwing a massive fit.

* BareYourMidriff: Her purple top is short enough to expose her navel.

* BareYourMidriff: She wears a frilly white top that exposes her midriff.

* Foil: to Luffy and Sir Crocodile
** With Luffy the parallels are more obvious in the movie itself. Omatsuri puts on a cheerful facade that is all but said to be what he was like - Childishly tempermental and impish, but ultimately good natured - [[spoiler:while his crew was alive, and is the reason he's lost his mind. He was so close to them that the grief and the loneliness of being marooned on Lily's Island drove him insane, and the Luffy-like attitude and temperment means that the Straw Hats suspect him, but feel like that they could handle him if he had an outburst. Its not until a few crewmates have gone missing that they confront him. By that point the mask he had stops needing to be a factor and he goes hard to explain how different he and Luffy are.]]

* EnviousPout: His mouth is shaped into this pose, though it's wider and he tends to drop it as he gets more angry and serious. [[Spoiler: it's an indicator that he's envious of other pirates.]]

* AxCrazy: There is a part where her eyes change into all kinds of [[spoiler: green shapes for second as she giggles as Baron "kills" a victim; due to the nature of these arrows, and the fact that her eyes look like crosshairs when this happens, it could be assumed that she's locking on to them]].

* NothingIsScarier: Everything about Lily, from the way she acts to how she operates, is abruptly stange and out of place, even by Grand Line standards. Unlike say, Saga's sword however, there's a tangible simple predator angle to it all that makes it particularly chilling.
** Her only stated origin is that she's native to the island and grows at the top. What's at the top appears to be ''nothing but a giant cut off stem growing from a crater'' usually hidden by the local clouds. This also means that Lily is both growing at the top of the mountain (the stem that actually feeds), and the flower growing from the Barons shoulder (her "mouthpiece", and conduit for her powers).
** She's always carrying a cheerful chipper voice, which makes her seem rather mindless. However she take part as a slight co-host to Omatsuri during the events (with him letting her announce things) and doesn't seem to actually join in on the Baron's insanity or BreakingSpeech moments unless she's being utilized or is angered. Her motivation is hunger, so this comes across as her seemingly not seeing anything wrong with being compliant about Omatsuri's methods, as long as she gets food.
** She's able to generate weapons and they seem to act as extentions of her will. Luffy finds out the hard way via a single arrow that these projectiles not only fly with more force than what the Baron should be capable of letting them loose at, but can ''stop dead to pivot towards their target.'' Not even crashing into something will necessarily always save the target either. That's also not getting into the sheer volume of arrows the Baron can fire in a single volley

** The Plant recreations of others could be argued to be hallucinatory if they didn't visibly wither, or reform from pods (depending on how hungry Lily is). Zoro attacks DJ and while his clothes show the swordsman did in fact connect, there isn't even a moment seen of a wound closing in the first place. This is on top of the Crew keeping their original memories and personalities, not even realizing something is up with the gaps in their memory and gaslighting Omatsuri does to have them not question it.

* GiantEqualsInvincible: Unlike the enormous forms taken on by the likes of Enel and Gild Tesoro, Bullet is experienced enough both in the usage of his powers and combat to construct and reinforce his giant constructs, allowing him to shrug off or easily recover from Warlord-class attacks while in this state.

** This is played with when he loses his PunchDuel with Luffy due to being distracted by a tender memory he had of Roger. While it costs him the battle, he's able to recall a moment in his otherwise violent and miserable life when he was genuinely happy.

* AllegoricalCharacter: Tot Musica is stated to come from negative emotions loneliness and hatred. Likewise, Uta chooses to unseal Tot Musica at the climax of the movie when she's at her lowest point mentally.
