* HopelessSuitor: Implied. She has a crush on Kaji and is the one who Mei delivered the love letter for. Unfortunately, since winged are mostly loveless due to their society, it doesn't paint a very hopeful picture.

* AmnesiacHero: He can't recall why he's in the forest, or how he got to the monster world from the human world at all.

* ButtMonkey: He has pretty bad luck in Act 1, falling out of trees, [[MakesSenseInContext getting juked by a note]], and even [[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext being mugged by maids.]]

* ThirdPersonPerson: Almost always refers to herself in third person.
* VerbalTic: Speaks in third person and pauses a lot.

** Nino later becomes confused at this, as even though he knows her ability is solely fueled by belief, she retains her powers gained from it after he learns about it. Mei explains that "seeing is believing", so since Nino had visual affirmation, even though his conscience says otherwise, his mind took what it saw as pure fact, so he believes even without consciously deciding to.

* Seers: [[spoiler: As the former guide to the Queen, Kaji once had the ability to see the "correct" path to take to accomplish any goal the Queen desired. However, this is rendered moot when he blinds himself in defiance to her and gets banished to the Midworld]].

* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: At first, pretty much everyone in Icicle Bay hates him since he continuously failed to capture [[LovableRogue Mei]]. This turns around pretty fast once Mei turns herself in.

* OurSirensAreDifferent: One mermaid guy in Icecicle Bay Getaway sadly muses how their ancestors used to lure human sailors to their deaths, but these days they're subservient to the humans they used to prey on.

* MasterOfDisguise: Her ability. She disguises herself as a monster to blend in the monster world.

* ZeroPercentApprovalRating: At first, pretty much everyone in Icicle Bay hates him since he continuously failed to capture [[LovableRogue Mei]]. This turns around pretty fast once Mei turns herself in.

* FantasticRacism: Despite the Winged and Celestials declaring that humans and monsters are equal, the monsters were not willing to accept it, and by the time the comic starts, still aren't.

The 3rd main race in Oceanfalls. Monsters seem to believe that winged are capable of granting wishes. They are said to be [[SuperiorSpecies more powerful than both monsters and humans]], having the potential to awaken more than one ability. They live in the Overworld, which has been spearated from Midworld by the barrier.

* BizarreAlienPsychology: It has been said by Mei that winged are loveless beings, but this has been expanded on by WordOfGod. In winged society, being detached from emotions and loveless is seen as part of being an "ideal" winged, meaning both romance and friendship are difficult for most winged (though romance is the biggest challenge). A number of them do deviate from this and try to learn about the love of humans and monsters, but the vast majority of winged view this as willingly developing a mental illness.

* Cthulhumanoid: Some of them are based on Cephalopods, particularly Warty.
