!!Wyldstyle (''WesternAnimation/TheLegoMovie'')
[[quoteright:168:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/70810_1to1_mf_mugshot_wildstyle_168.png]]
-->'''Voiced by''': Creator/ElizabethBanks
-->"I'm Wyldstyle... and I'm not a DJ!"

Along with friends Gandalf and Batman, Wyldstyle travels from dimension to dimension to stop Lord Vortech.

* EmbarrassingFirstName: Lucy.
* JustFriends: With Batman, since he's from his respective LEGO game series, and is not the one from ''The [=LEGO=] Movie''.
* [[MrFixit Ms. Fixit]]: One of the few characters to possess the "Master Builder" ability. This allows her to recreate otherwise difficult-to-build constructs in a snap.
* TheSmurfettePrinciple: Wyldstyle is the only main female protagonist, but the other character packs do contain their own female characters.
* StylisticSuck: Her animation, while not as choppy in framerate as the characters from Midway Arcade, looks more like an actual Lego minifigure hopping around than either of her travelling partners, with mostly nonexistent knees and elbows. This is to emulate the style of her movie.
* ThisLooksLikeAJobForAquaman: Wyldstyle is one of only two characters who can use a scanner to detect invisible objects (the other being Bad Cop).
* WallJump: Her Acrobatics ability allows her to cling to and hop between sparkling walls that share the same color palette as her hair.

!!Gandalf the Grey (''Film/TheLordOfTheRings'')
[[quoteright:168:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/79014_1to1_mf_mugshot_gandalfgrey_168.png]]
-->'''Voiced By''': Creator/TomKane
-->"I am Gandalf the Grey!"

Straight from Middle Earth, Gandalf helps the trio with his magical powers.

* AccidentalMisnaming: Mistakes Doc Brown's famous oath of "Great Scott!" for his name.
* AdaptationalBadass: In the books (and the films the minifigure is designed after), Gandalf wasn't allowed to use anywhere near the amount of magic he shows off in the game, mostly being allowed to use small tricks or bright flashes of light, as opposed to full-on magic. And in fights, he'd either use his sword Glamdring, or just bash enemies with his staff.
* AwesomeMcCoolName: When Sauron refers to him as "Gandalf Stormcrow", Wyldstyle decides that "Stormcrow" would make a good alternate for her own codename.
* BadassGrandpa / CoolOldGuy: A powerful wizard who takes the form of an old man.
* CatchPhrase: "You shall not pass!"
** HeyThatsMyLine: He gets defensive of it when [[spoiler: The Tri]] uses it.
* FishOutOfWater: While true of all three characters to an extent, Gandalf hails from a fantasy world (compared to the more [[FantasyKitchenSink kitchen sink]] approaches of DC Comics and the LEGO Movie) and has a lot of trouble with less fantastic concepts.
* FunnyBackgroundEvent: When interacting with the TARDIS, he gets electrocuted and turns into Gandalf the White. He turns back into Gandalf the Grey upon being electrocuted a second time.
* HeroicBSOD: He has a brief one when he learns Sauron is present in Metropolis. Batman and Wyldstyle quickly snap him out of it.
* HypocriticalHumor: Gandalf likes to play up the eccentric old man trope but is baffled by others like Doc Brown and The Doctor.
* LighterAndSofter: Again, unlike the films and books he's physically based on, Gandalf is much more genial, and less world-weary. Presumably this is because there's already Batman serving as the grouchy one of the trio.
* NoIndoorVoice: Fond of shouting.
* RageQuit: Gets fed up of being mistaken for Dumbledore in his Meet That Hero sketch featuring Newt Scamander and Tina Goldstein.
* SarcasmBlind: He thinks that [=GLaDOS=] has a positive attitude when she [[DeadpanSnarker "compliments"]] them on completing a test.
* WeaponOfChoice: His MagicStaff, the Staff of Power. In close-range combat, he can swing it around to attack and at range, he can fire magical bolts that harm enemies and destroy objects. He can also use it to emit a shield of light, or to illuminate dark areas that characters without a light source cannot traverse.
* WizardClassic: To be fair, he is the TropeCodifier. Also, lampshaded in the Gauntlet Parody; if low on heath, the announcer will say "Wizard needs food badly". (The Wicked Witch also gets this)
* WrongGenreSavvy: Given he's from a fantasy setting, this was bound to come up. For example, when dealing with the Weeping Angels, he thinks they're a case of DemonicPossession, rather than being creatures that just turn to stone when you see them.

!!Batman (''[[Franchise/{{Batman}} Batman]]'')
[[quoteright:168:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/71200_1to1_mf_mugshot_batman_168_17.png]]
-->'''Voiced By''': Creator/TroyBaker
-->"The Dark Knight rises!"

One of DC Comics' most enduring and loved characters, the Caped Crusader from Gotham helps the team with his cool and expensive gadgets.

* AttackAttackAttack: Not actually done, [[PuzzleBoss considering how every LEGO boss is]], but every boss fight he thinks to call Oracle for advice on how to beat their opponent, only for him to change his mind and say "Ah, I'll just keep hitting it."
* AscendedMeme: He occasionally uses "I'm Batman." as an explanation for something he's capable of doing.
* TheComicallySerious: Occasionally expresses confusion with what's happening in his recognizable gravelly voice.
* CompositeCharacter: He's a mix of ''many'' incarnations of Batman, taking most of his design and personality cues from the Animated Series and throwing in several references to ''VideoGame/BatmanArkhamAsylum'' and ''Film/TheDarkKnightTrilogy''.
* CoolCar: His personal Batmobile, the only vehicle included in the Starter Pack.
* GoodOldFisticuffs: Fights bare-handed as his standard attack.
* GrumpyBear: Batman complains about many things. For instance, how the loading screen vortexes are annoyingly bright.
* JustFriends: In the interests in diversity between the all of the franchises present in the game, this is the Batman from DC Comics and his respective game series. He's just met Wyldstyle, and not [[WesternAnimation/TheLegoMovie dating her]].
* TheLeader: Generally takes the lead in the groups adventures, and is often the one most recognized by the villains.
* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Batman is the one responsible for scattering the keystones across the dimensions, as a result of escaping Vortech at the beginning of the game.
* OtherMeAnnoysMe: He meets up with his counterpart from WesternAnimation/TheLegoMovie. They don't get along.
* PhraseCatcher: Quotes both "[[Franchise/{{Ghostbusters}} I ain't afraid of no ghost.]]" and "[[Series/DoctorWho Don't blink.]]" in the appropriate levels.
* QuantityVsQuality: Compared to The Lego Movie's Batman - he throws fewer Batarangs, but his actually come back to him.
* RedOniBlueOni: The blue to ''LEGO Movie'' Batman's red. Also the Blue to Wyldstyle's Red.
* SissyFight: The Two Batmen get into one when they first meet.
* WeaponOfChoice: The Batarang. It can be used as a ranged throwing weapon, but can also be used for solving puzzles that require its use.

!!''[=X-PO=]''
-->'''Voiced By''': Joel [=McHale=]
-->"Stuck, huh? Don't worry, you're only human. Or...maybe some kind of mammal. I can't tell."

Short for Xperimental Portal Operator. After being banished by Lord Vortech, he allies himself with the heroes in their quest to stop his plans.

* BigGood: Turns out to be the one who set the heroes on their quest to locate the keystones and foundation elements.
* DisneyDeath: [[spoiler: He seemingly dies after the Joker 'puts a smile on his face'. The Doctor manages to repair him, though.]]
* TheDitz: [=X-PO=] is not quite right in the mainframe, to put it mildly.
* EpicFail: He claims to have somehow fallen asleep in rift-making class, as in while he was supposed to be learning about the thing he's ''designed'' to do.
* HeelFaceTurn: Initially works for Vortech in the beginning, but changes sides after Vortech tries to kill him.
* InnocentlyInsensitive: He occasionally says very condescending things, but by all indications doesn't know they're insulting.
* LaserGuidedAmnesia: When he broke him up at the beginning of the game, Vortech also removed [=X-PO's=] knowledge of where Foundation Prime was.
* MeaningfulName: Not only does it stand for the above, but he provides most of the e'''xpo'''sition for the story.
* OriginalGeneration: He's a new character created for this crossover game.
* RidiculouslyHumanRobot: Not in appearance but in personality and mentality. He somehow fell asleep when learning how to create rifts and is seen drinking at one point.
* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: A robot with 3 characters in his name (the last two being PO) and providing the heroes inside details? Hmm... perhaps the [[Main/ExiledfromContinuity otherwise exiled]] Franchise/StarWars isn't completely absent after all.
* TheVoiceless: He temporarily becomes this in "All Your Bricks Belong To Us". If the player tries to contact him via a Hint Stone in the ''VideoGame/{{Gauntlet}}'' maze, his hint appears accompanied by a sound from the original game, rather than one of his stock quotes.

!!''Lord Vortech''
-->'''Voiced By''': Creator/GaryOldman

The ruler of the planet Vorton, who seeks to gather the Foundation Elements needed to control all of reality itself.

* AttackOfTheFiftyFootWhatever: Can shape-shift into a massive minifigure, and does so in the 1800's era Hill Valley [[spoiler:and the final battle]].
* BadBoss: Seems to be insulting the other villains whenever he's with them.
* BigBad: Of ''Lego Dimensions'' itself, and implied to be the one for the Midway Arcade level pack as well.
* CelestialBody: His body looks like he is made out of a galaxy.
* EvilIsHammy
* FromASingleCell: [[spoiler: At the end of the main story, an innocent minifig approaches a brick fragment, seemingly of what remains of Vortech after his imprisonment...then he touches it, causing his skin and sleeve to become Vortech-like, and he cackles. It's unknown whether this was a ThanatosGambit, a case of AsLongAsThereIsEvil, or XanatosGambit.]]
* GenericDoomsdayVillain: Essentially is just trying to rule the universe- we haven't got any backstory for him, like who he really is or why he wants to rule the entire multiverse.
* HumanoidAbomination: He shares the same design as any other minifig, but he's made of some strange matter, capable of radically altering his size, and if shattered or smashed will just pull himself back together in no short order.
* MadeOfEvil: Exactly what Vortech is made isn't clear, but one piece of it [[spoiler:is enough to fuel the Tri, and it's pretty dangerous to be near.]]
* MasterOfDisguise: He disguises himself quite a number of times over the course of the game.
* OmnicidalManiac: He wants to combine all universes into a single, "perfect" one.
* OrcusOnHisThrone: Vortech spends a lot of the game sitting on his throne, only directly attacking the heroes twice, at Hill Valley and then in Scooby Doo's world. It's justified, since the means he used to find Foundation Prime have apparently taken a toll on him, and occasionally cause him to lose control of his own body.
* OriginalGeneration: As with X-PO, Lord Vortech is a new character created for this crossover game.
* PullingThemselvesTogether: He spends much of the fight in Hill Valley doing this.
