Added and revised Sion\'s entries. Removed sections related purely to his old character, that\'s in the League Of Legends Others section now

* TheArtifact: Since the % chance of slowing an enemy on Phage / Frozen Mallet / Trinity Force got reworked, Sion's old passive was literally the only element of chance in the game (besides critical hit chance). Since the developers' stated goal was to remove RNG mechanics from the game (the exception being crit chance), this was expectedly removed with his rerelease.

* CrutchCharacter: The old AP build. He starts off very good, but falls off late game.

* FeelNoPain: The name of his old passive, verbatim.

A deadly mercenary and tomb robber, Sivir became infamous in the deserts of Shurima for her skill in battle and her ambition for gold. She was recruited by Noxus to fight in their name, but she broke ties when they began the invasion of Ionia. Surprisingly, their next contact was not one of revenge; Cassiopeia Du Couteau requested Sivir as an escort in search of an ancient Shurima artifact. However, their excursion went awry; Cassiopeia backstabbed Sivir, using her crossblade weapon to open the Tomb of the Emperors. The consequences were dire, releasing Xerath and Renekton from their imprisonment and cursing Cassiopeia into a lamia-like form.

Bleeding to death, Sivir collapsed within the temple and inadvertently resurrected the Shurima Emperor Azir, as her blood came from his. Azir took his descendant to the Oasis of the Dawn, bathing her in its life-granting waters. Sivir was resurrected and witnessed that the selfless act had completed Azir's Ascension, heralding the return of the Shurima Empire. Whether Sivir chooses to continue her mercenary life, or to help rebuild the empire of her ancestors, remains to be seen.

Syndra is a mage-support champion with a complex ability set based around summoning and manipulating spheres of dark energy that rewards a skilled user with strong damage. Her passive, Trascendent, enhances each of her abilities when they reach their max level. Her first ability, Dark Sphere, summons a sphere of dark energy at a nearby area, damaging all enemies around it, that will remain there for a short time an can be manipulated by her other abilities. When it reaches max rank, Trascendent increases the damage the sphere deals to enemy champions. Her second ability, Force of Will, telekinetically lifts a nearby enemy minion or Dark Sphere for a brief duration and, when the ability is reactivated, hurls it at a nearby area, damaging and slowing all enemies when it lands. When it reaches max rank, Trascendent increases the duration of the slowing effect. Her third ability, Scatter the Weak, sends out a wave of dark energy that damages and knocks back all enemies in a cone in front of her. Any Dark Spheres in the same area are also sent flying backwards, stunning all enemies they collide with. When it reaches max rank, Trascendent increases the width of the cone. Her ultimate ability, Unleashed Power, summons three Dark Spheres and hurls them, along with any other on the field, at a nearby enemy, dealing heavy damage for each sphere. The spheres will then remain around the target for a brief duration. When it reaches max rank, Trascendent increases the range of the ability.

Soraka is a support-mage champion with a heavy emphasis on healing, protecting and sustaining her teammates over damaging or disabling enemies. Her passive, Salvation, grants her greatly increased movement speed when moving towards heavily wounded allies. Her first ability, Starcall, allows her to call down a comet to a target location, damaging all enemies hit, while enemies in the center of the explosion take bonus damage and are slowed. Her second ability, Astral Blessing, passively heals Soraka for each enemy champion hit by Starcall, and can be activated to heal a nearby ally (but not herself) at the cost of Soraka's own health. Her third ability, Equinox, creates a field of energy that damages and silences all enemies within. After a brief delay, the field expires, damaging and rooting enemies inside. Her ultimate, Wish, restores a large amount of health to Soraka's entire team, regardless of their position on the map, while also removing any healing-impairing effects from them and restoring more health to heavily wounded allies.

Soraka is a support-mage champion with a heavy emphasis on healing, protecting and sustaining her teammates over damaging or disabling enemies. However, how she does that has changed over time. As released in the First Forty, she was a back-line character with a global Magic Resistance buff, a short-range HitScan AoE, two heals and an ability, "Infuse," that restores Mana to others and herself, in addition to silencing enemies if used on them. Per WordOfGod, this was boring and stifling, and today she's been transformed into more of a CombatMedic. Her passive, Salvation, grants her greatly increased movement speed when moving towards heavily wounded allies. Her first ability, Starcall, allows her to call down a comet to a target location, damaging and slowing enemies hit. Her second ability, Astral Blessing, heals allies with a very short cooldown, but is CastFromHitPoints in addition to Mana; as a compensation, it also gives Starcall LifeDrain when it hits enemy champions. Her third ability, Equinox, creates a field of energy that silences all enemies within, and roots enemies when it expires. Only her ultimate has remained unchanged: Wish restores a large amount of health to the entire team, regardless of their position on the map. It also removes healing reduction effects and restores extra HP to allies in poor condition.

* TheArtifact: The idea of a healer Champion was thought up in season 1, back when the design team thought that it was a harmless and popular niche. Since then the dev team has declared that healers don't belong in PVP games, stating they warp game balance and are extremely binary (either they heal so much they make any attempts to damage their team pointless, or don't heal enough and thus are basically useless). While other champions with healing abilities bring other things to the table, and thus their heals don't need to be overpoweringly strong, Soraka is a dedicated healer that brings nothing but healing to the team, and thus she's basically impossible to balance correctly and has received nerf after nerf. Right now Soraka is basically in the game to keep the people who demand a healer be in the game happy. But in exchange, she'll never be completely viable since healing is so inherently unbalancing.

* DeathOfAThousandCuts: Again, Starcall. Each attack shreds more and more Magic Resistance, making it possible to whittle down and kill enemies with teammate support... though your pinky will ache by the time you're done pressing "Q".

For starters, her well-known mana battery ability, Infuse, is removed. However, this is compensated by a stronger heal (at a cost of 10% of her maximum health and mana) and better crowd control ability. That being said, her Starcall is also reworked so that it can heal her based on the number of champions hit by Starcall (in addition to a powerful slow if landed correctly). Finally, she's given a new ability that when placed correctly, it'll silence a group of champions and after the duration is over, it snares them. Her passive is reworked in lines of TheNeedsOfTheMany where she loses 20% of armor and magic resistance in exchange for more ability power. And since her abilities and healing scales well with ability power, it somewhat allows Soraka to build a little tanky consisting of magic resistance and armor AND have more ability power.
* HeartIsAnAwesomePower: Soraka won't get many kills, she's pretty much dead if caught alone by almost any character, your teammates will scream for heals constantly, and yet you are probably the most important player in the team. A fed Soraka can make a huge difference in the endgame. She can keep her whole team healthy and loaded with mana for a considerable duration, her Starfall spell will make the team's AP Mage squee at the group of unprotected enemies, her Infuse spell will shutdown any spell spamming champions and her Wish will ensure that even when the team is wounded and retreating they'll be able to regroup and counter attack swiftly.
* ImplacableMan: In her heyday. Most heroes have to retreat for healing by the time they've got about 1000 Gold, sometimes 500. With luck and care, Soraka could stay on-station into the 3,000s. Some players only headed back to base because they've got so much gold that they might as well spend it. She is far less capable of this after a slew of nerfs due to the obvious ridiculousness of such a tendency.

* NoSelfBuffs: She can target herself with Astral Blessing but not Infuse. This was a deliberate Nerf that prevented her from being a completely self-sustaining Implacable Woman that literally had no counter.
* OvershadowedByAwesome: Soraka utility is limited to healing and mana sustain with virtually no crowd control aside from the silence from Infuse (and even so, a single target silence is also really unreliable, particularly if the enemy will still gap close into you anyways). He's a huge hulking zombie with an axe, but he isn't very encouraged to fight at melee and doesn't make any use of the axe in any of his abilities, and has some abilities that don't make sense flavor-wise (why is a warrior zombie able to emit stunning, glittering eyebeams and generate exploding energy shields?). Gameplay-wise, he has only two builds: an AP mage build, which completely ignores and doesn't make use of his E and R, or an AD-build, which also gets no use out of his W ability. The main problem thus is that his abilities and gameplay don't mesh well with his appearance, and that he's forced to forego several of his abilities if he wants to be viable. They have already announced that, if he gets reworked, he's going to undergo pretty hefty changes.

Sion is a fighter-mage champion who can be built as either a resilient attacker or a burst mage, in both cases preferring to fight up close and personal. His passive, Feel no Pain, grants him a chance to ignore a percentage of damage taken from basic attacks. After revolt among the Noxian ranks, Sion was sealed in his memorial, a mistake to be left alone and forgotten.

Many years later, when Swain became the Grand General of Noxus, he discovered Sion's existence and imprisonment. Calling upon the Black Rose once more, he procured the blood of Jarvan IV, the descendant of the Demacian king Sion had slain so long ago. Swain could not control Sion's bloodlust, but he could direct it; and so he released the abomination from its tomb.

The Shurima arc gave her a significant retcon: The excursion ended with Cassiopeia backstabbing her, and the trap cursing the noblewoman into a half-snake woman and released Xerath and Renekton. Bleeding to death, Sivir collapsed within the temple and inadvertently resurrected the Shurima Emperor Azir, as her blood came from his. Sivir was resurrected and witnessed that the act completed Azir's Ascension, and the Shurima Empire has once again risen.
