A list of minor characters in the main story of ''Kitsune no Ken''.

!!Nohara Rin
A news reporter for Channel 3 News. She's first introduced in Chapter 62, where she's providing coverage of Kira Ay's unveiling of his company's newest product, and also gets her own character arc thereafter, between Chapters 63 and 67.
* AgeLift: In canon, Rin was a young teenager at the time of her death. Here, she's a full-grown adult and at least the same age as Kakashi.
* DamselInDistress: During the Haunted Past Arc, where she has to contend with an abusive ex-boyfriend who's been stalking her.
* ScarsAreForever: [[spoiler:She's got several facial scars from her [[DomesticAbuse abusive relationship]] with Hidan. She tries to hide them with makeup, but Naruto's still able to notice and point them out]].
* SparedByTheAdaptation: In canon, she's been dead for years prior to the start of the story's main timeline.

!!Judge Utatane Koharu
A magistrate who's introduced in the Tribunal Arc as the judge Jiraiya summons to preside over Naruto's hearing.
* LongerThanLifeSentence: She's perfectly capable of dishing these out if you get on her bad side. She gives two characters who are mostly respectful of her position up to 30 years' imprisonment with a chance for parole in 15, but another character who openly insults her gets slapped with all his sentences running consecutively, resulting in up to ''365 years'' in prison with NO chance for parole.
* NeverMessWithGranny: Especially when she's got the power to sentence you to ''365 years in prison''.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: She'll sentence you according to the severity of your crime, but she will consider your circumstances and whether you had previous criminal convictions, and if your prior record was clean, she'll have your sentencing terms run concurrent with each other; meaning, if you get sentenced to 10 years' imprisonment on two separate charges, she'll put the sentencing times together so you only end up serving 10 years instead of 20.
* WhatTheHellHero: Her ruling about [[spoiler: whether Naruto will possibly have to be subjected to a full trial for his actions in the 365 days]] is this regarding the ''stupid'' decisions Naruto took as a Kyuushingai.

!!Lawyer Kato Dan
A defense attorney who appears in the Tribunal Arc, with a number of cases before Judge Utatane. He's later appointed to represent Naruto at the titular tribunal.
* AmoralAttorney: Averted; despite appearing on behalf of a few not-nice characters in Chapter 99, he hasn't been shown to be a bad guy himself.
* GoodLawyersGoodClients: An interesting variation. He's a good guy, and Naruto (his client) is clearly a good guy...but Naruto really ''is'' guilty of having committed his atrocities during the 365 days. Of course, the point of the tribunal is not to determine Naruto's innocence or guilt, but whether he's guilty enough to warrant going before an official trial by jury.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: In canon, he was Tsunade's fiance who died on her watch.
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Pale blue, to be exact.

!!Lawyer Uzuki Yugao
A prosecutor who appears in the Tribunal Arc, appointed to argue the point that Naruto should be made to stand trial before an official court setting for his actions as a Kyuushingai. She makes a later appearance where it's revealed she's old schoolmates with Uchiha Mikoto and the spa owner Mabui.
* AmoralAttorney: Another aversion, as she genuinely desires justice, asks the kind of questions that a prosecutor would be expected to ask, and submits to the court's sustaining of Dan's objection to her referencing the Uzushio High incident (which isn't part of Naruto's current charges regarding the 365 days). [[spoiler:She also [[GracefulLoser takes it with good grace]] when Naruto is absolved of having to undergo an official trial]].
* BlackAndWhiteMorality: Shares this view with Jiraiya, where the Kyuushingai are concerned. However, she herself has no grudge against Naruto personally.
* CrusadingLawyer: As a prosecutor, she honestly desires justice for what happened during the 365 days. At the same time, she doesn't act like a douche toward Naruto, even when she's grilling him on the stand (which, even then, is just her doing her job).
* HelloAttorney
* NotSoAboveItAll: She's by-the-book, professional, direct, and polite to the point of coolness...yet she has to [[ActuallyPrettyFunny stifle her laughter]] when Naruto very nearly calls Jiraiya a pervert during his courtroom testimony. And as Chapter 153 reveals, she enjoys a good spa treatment as much as the next client.
* ReasonableAuthorityFigure: Prior to the start of the tribunal, she inquires after Naruto's health and recommends that he should eat some breakfast before they begin. She also points out that it'll give Naruto an opportunity to fine-tune his defense with Dan.
* SmartPeopleWearGlasses: For reading purposes, at least.
* [[YouGottaHaveBlueHair You Gotta Have Purple Hair]]

!!Sabaku Yashamaru
The uncle of Gaara, Temari and Kankuro, introduced in Chapter 132, though he was previously mentioned during the meeting of the Council of the Dawn. He's the CEO of Suna City's Sabaku Limited, and has some political ties.
* AccompliceByInaction: [[spoiler:He did nothing to prevent Gaara's actions which would lead to the 365 days, due to his anger at the government for wrongly scapegoating his sister and brother-in-law as terrorists to cover up its own military mistake of firing a rocket on its own convoy]].
* DeadpanSnarker: Even toward Gaara, his Kyuushingai nephew, such as when Gaara injures himself after having punched through an oak-wood door.
--> '''Gaara:''' This hurts...really, really, really hurts.
--> '''Yashamaru:''' Well, that's what happens when you punch right through a wooden door.
* NamedByTheAdaptation: In canon, Sabaku isn't a surname that's ascribed to anyone in Gaara's family (it comes from Gaara's canonical epithet, "Sabaku no Gaara," or "Gaara of the Sand Waterfall").
* NervesOfSteel: He takes being held at gunpoint and placed on top of a bomb's trigger surprisingly calmly, not even flinching or pausing in his eating when the former happens.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Chapter 136 describes him as being an older man, but sporting a fairly youthful appearance.
* ParentalSubstitute: He raised Gaara and his siblings after their parents' deaths.
* SmallRoleBigImpact: He doesn't have a major role within the story overall, at least in the present day...but we ''do'' find out that he was critical to Gaara turning out the way he did. [[spoiler:He was the one who informed Gaara of the circumstances behind Gaara's parents' deaths and scapegoat status as given to them by the government to cover up its own embarrassing military mistake, and he deliberately refrained from reining Gaara in just prior to and during the 365 days due to his own bitterness at those circumstances]].
* SparedByTheAdaptation: He's dead in Gaara's backstory in the canon universe.

!!Mabui
A spa owner and an old schoolmate of Uchiha Mikoto and Uzuki Yugao, introduced in Chapter 153.
* DarkSkinnedBlond: Dark-skinned silver-haired lady, actually.
* GentleGiant: She's certainly taller than both Mikoto and Yugao, but with a slender build. Her nickname from high school days is "Slender Giant." Plus she has a very deferential personality in relating to her clients during massage sessions, and she speaks in a soft and gentle tone, all the better to put them at ease.
* HugeSchoolgirl: Back when she, Mikoto and Yugao went to school together, if Yugao's old nickname for her, "Slender Giant," is any indication.
* KimonoFanservice
* PressurePoint: She knows how to apply pressure to nerve endings during massages so as to provide pleasure to her clients, as she demonstrates on Yugao for the latter's first massage at her spa. Justified, as Mikoto notes that Mabui studied for a degree in human physiology, which included courses on anatomy, and Mabui herself admits that she spent a lot of time researching the body's nerve clusters in particular.

!!Kaiza Hokuto
Chief Kaiza's daughter and a former classmate of Naruto's from Uzushio High School in Whirl City.
* DamselInDistress: Alongside Hana, during the Vengeance Arc, when both of them are kidnapped by Sumaru's Star-Boys gang to lure Naruto into a trap.
* EarlyBirdCameo: She first showed up in a flashback in Chapter 93. Her first proper appearance in the current timeline was in Chapter 167.
* MissingMom: See Kaiza's TheLostLenore entry above. Hokuto herself feels that her mother's death led to her father's InspectorJavert attitude.
* NamedByTheAdaptation: See Kaiza's LastNameBasis trope above.
* RebelliousPrincess: Rebellious police chief's daughter, if you want to get technical.
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: See Chief Kaiza's entry above.
