!!Mr. Ozaki
Haruna's father, and one of those residents of Konoha Town who are anti-Kyuushingai.
* AscendedExtra: In the canon series' anime, he only showed up in one scene during a flashback. He doesn't even get a page of his own on the ''Naruto'' series' wiki page, to put this into extra perspective.
* LastNameBasis: His first name hasn't been revealed.
* MamaDidntRaiseNoCriminal: He's on the subjective side of this trope and a gender-flipped example, as he initially refuses to believe Haruna could be capable of any wrongdoing [[spoiler:after she and Emiru are held for vandalizing Sakura's family house]]. When the evidence comes up to prove otherwise...the father-daughter relationship gets somewhat strained as a result.
* NamedByTheAdaptation: He didn't have a revealed name in canon.
* OverprotectiveDad: In the sense that he really doesn't approve of Naruto being in Konoha Town due to being a Kyuushingai, and therefore he doesn't want Haruna to be anywhere around the boy because of that fact.
* SparedByTheAdaptation: He's long dead in Haruna's back-story in canon.

!!Kagari, Mahiru, Emiru and Ozaki Haruna
Four students of Konoha High who first show up during the Tribunal arc to hassle Sakura over comments her father has made at a town hall meeting held to discuss the presence of the Kyuushingai in Konoha Town.
* AdaptationalVillainy: Played straight with Emiru and Haruna; the former was a very minor character but was still friendly to Naruto, and the latter was a filler character who was the daimyo of the Land of Vegetables and gave Naruto support in her arc. Concerning the boys, Kagari was already an Amegakure-affiliated villain in the canon series and the filler arc that featured Aoi, and while we don't know Mahiru's canon morality, he was definitely an enemy of Kakashi and Minato as revealed in their back-story.

[[folder:Naruto's Family Members]]
The members of Naruto's immediate and extended family; the latter group is introduced in the thirty-ninth Gaiden where they come to spend Christmas with Naruto, Kushina and Minato.

!!Uzumaki Kushina
Naruto's mother, and a major source of support for him and good advice for his peers.
* ActionMom: Among other things, she frightens off Kimimaro's gang [[spoiler:despite having just been shot]], fights Mangetsu with relative ease and only gets hit once when she drops her guard, and violently rebuffs a break-in and murder attempt by Dosu and Zaku.
* AmazinglyEmbarrassingParents: She is this to Naruto, especially when combined with her tendency to snark about his relationships with girls. And there's also her fan-girl attitude toward the popular ''Shadow Fox'' comic, including having a cosplay costume, which causes Naruto to do a double-take the first time he sees her wearing it.
* CombatPragmatist: When forced to defend herself, she proves to be this in spades, including liberal use of the GroinAttack and using anything she can grab as a weapon.
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: As depicted in this fanfic, Kushina usually appears as a (mostly) motherly housewife who likes to cook, trades VolleyingInsults with her own son, cosplays as the in-universe female Franchise/{{Batman}} expy, throws around [[DeadpanSnarker some really wicked zingers]] ([[SnarkToSnarkCombat usually in response to Naruto's own zingers]]), plays video games, owns a PornStash, and is heavily implied to [[ADateWithRosiePalms do non-food-related things with cucumbers]]. This same woman is also married to a government agent and is the mother of one of the Kyuushingai, and as such she is perfectly capable of taking care of herself if need be, as Dosu and Zaku find out to their sorrow.
* DamselInDistress: [[DefiedTrope Defied]]. [[CombatPragmatist Violently]].
* ADateWithRosiePalms: Naruto implies more than once that she engages in this with cucumbers. Kushina's not amused.
* DeadpanSnarker: She engages in frequent SnarkToSnarkCombat with Naruto.
* DrivesLikeCrazy: Chapter 56, "Reckless Driver." It was a BigDamnHeroes moment, though, so it's perfectly excusable.
* EvenTheGirlsWantHer: If Mei's rather flustered response to meeting her for the first time is any indication.
* EveryoneLovesBlondes: She got Minato.
* FieryRedhead: Mostly toward Naruto, during comedic situations.
* {{Housewife}}: For the most part, and she clearly enjoys cooking delicious meals for Naruto and his friends.
* HiddenDepths: She's generally quite cheerful, spends most of her time at home cooking and doing typical housewife stuff, and on the more eccentric end she cosplays as the in-universe comic book character Shadow Fox and also owns her very own porn stash. However, under serious circumstance she proves to be a source of good maternal wisdom to whoever needs it. [[spoiler:Going even deeper, she's got some resentment toward her husband Minato for distancing himself from his family, to the point of requesting Kushina to retake her maiden name, for the sake of protecting her and Naruto due to Minato's black-ops work, and subsequently leaving her alone to deal with Naruto's post-365 days trauma. [[StepfordSmiler She hides her bitterness very well up to that point]]]].
* HotBlooded: She has one hell of a temper, not unlike canon. It's usually played for laughs, but the few times it's actually played for drama, it's significant.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Her very own ramen pot, or a hot cup of ramen. [[ImprovisedWeaponUser In her defense, she had to improvise]].
* MamaBear: She loves her son, VolleyingInsults aside. And she's not going to stand for him being hurt, even if he's a Kyuushingai and can well take care of himself. [[spoiler:She even goes as far as to physically threaten the business executive who helped facilitate Naruto's abduction, while wearing a disguise to hide who she really is]].
--> '''Kushina:''' Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go find my son. And if I do not find him in the same condition I last saw him, I guarantee you, '''this whole town will burn!'''
* NotAMorningPerson: And now you know where Naruto gets it from. Witness her response to an early-morning phone call that forces her to get out of bed:
--> '''Kushina:''' You're looking for a quick way to commit suicide, aren't you?
* SparedByTheAdaptation: You know she's dead in canon, right?
* SupremeChef: Naruto's friends have lauded her cooking prowess more than once.
* TomboyWithAGirlyStreak: In contrast to her canon self, the girly aspect of Kushina's character gets more prevalence here, as she's generally seen in her kitchen and doing stuff around the home. That being said, she is just as likely to beat the crap out of you with a pot as she is to cook a delicious meal in it.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Ramen, and she's even more obsessive about it than ''Naruto''.
--> '''Kushina:''' In this house, [[PunctuatedForEmphasis you--do not--spill--ramen]]--especially when it's being prepared!

!!Namikaze Minato
Naruto's father and Kushina's husband, he gets mentioned several times throughout the story before being formally introduced in Chapter 57. He's the head of the black-ops investigation team Yuyami.
* ActionDad
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: To Naruto, in terms of combat skill. He's actually able to put Naruto flat on his back without Naruto being able to land even a single hit.
* AuthorityEqualsAsskicking: Implied. We know he's the leader of Yuyami, which includes Yugito, a former Kyuushingai and an ex-cop, and Itachi, a skilled combatant and gunslinger, and also that he's capable of [[TrainingFromHell mopping the floor with Naruto as a means of training the latter]]. He's definitely got what it takes.
* BerserkButton: Threatening harm to his family is basically a good way to sign your own death warrant. As shown in the fifteenth Gaiden, he was willing to [[KillItWithFire set a group of thugs on fire]] because they sought to burn down the Uzumaki home with Naruto and Kushina inside.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: His behavior is quite comical at times. He makes many a ShoutOut to real-life pop culture in the form of quotations, gives joking quips about [[ShipperOnDeck how he expects Itachi and Yugito to hook up]], and casually rebuffs Yugito's attempts at physical assault in response to his ribbing (these in themselves played for laughs) while being the target of both Yugito's (again comical) death threats and Itachi's insults...but then you remember that he's the field leader for a black-ops team, giving orders to said two members (Yugito a former Kyuushingai, Itachi a gun-slinging marksman) [[spoiler:and [[PapaWolf also made a point]] of visiting the home of the man who led Naruto into a trap by Akatsuki, without actually killing said man due to the decision to leave him to [[MamaBear Kushina]]]]. Not to mention, during the second TimeSkip he was in charge of Naruto's training, with Naruto (also a Kyuushingai) being completely unable to land even ''a single hit'' on Minato during the one flashback scene showcasing the TrainingFromHell Minato put him through; and he can and will use the JackBauerInterrogationTechnique on anyone he needs information out of without batting an eye, ''and'' Kankuro implies in Chapter 59 that it would be a suicidal move to confront Minato head-on because, if he'd volunteered for the Kyuushingai training program, they wouldn't have needed more people than just him. Digest all that for a minute.
* BigGood: Essentially. While he's taking orders from the Minister of Justice, he's the one directing how the good guys carry out their objectives.
* BunnyEarsLawyer: In sharp contrast to his canon self, Minato is incredibly immature and childish in his behavior, ribbing his own subordinates and family over little things that are bound to annoy them while being absolutely casual about it, and has a hint of perversion to his character (read: disguising a recording device as a tampon for Yugito to wear). This is the same man who's in charge of a highly-effective black-ops investigative team.
* ColdBloodedTorture: He was willing to burn [[spoiler:Temari]] [[GroinAttack on the genitals]] with a blowtorch for the sake of getting information, ''without hesitating about it, at that''. Granted, he ''is'' head of a black-ops team, and the information he was seeking was necessary to save lives, but even still...
* DeathGlare: In the fifteenth Gaiden, he's described as having one that could melt solid steel if it were possible. Granted, the recipient of the glare ''did'' try to murder Naruto and Kushina in their sleep.
* DisappearedDad: Prior to Chapter 57, he was this for Naruto, although not by death, since it was already confirmed that he was still alive. [[DaddyHadAGoodReasonForAbandoningYou The reason for his absence was because he is in charge of Yuyami, which is investigating the events that led to the 365 days of carnage two years ago]].
* GoodIsNotSoft: He's a good guy who'll willingly set people on fire for pissing him off.
* ImprobableAimingSkills: Minato's ''good'' with firearms. In the main story, he doesn't miss a single one of his targets, whether with a handgun or a sniper-rife. In the twenty-ninth Gaiden, he proves capable of shooting several criminals in their extremities from several meters away, as well as [[BlastingItOutOfTheirHands shooting a gun out of one criminal's hand]], and that's only because he's specifically seeking ''not'' to kill them outright.
* InTheHood: His first appearance in the main story shows him wearing a white pullover jacket with a hood. Chronologically, he's first seen wearing it in the twenty-second Gaiden, set a short while before the start of the main story.
* ManChild: Acts this way at times, especially when teasing Itachi and Yugito about [[ShipperOnDeck the relationship he thinks they should have]].
* OneManArmy: A downplayed example as demonstrated in the fifteenth Gaiden, where he [[CurbStompBattle effortlessly takes out five hoodlums in the space of a few seconds]]. More heavily implied in the main story, where Kankuro indicates that if Minato had volunteered himself for the Kyuushingai training, ''he alone'' would have been all the trainers needed.
* PapaWolf: In the main story, after seeing what's happened to Naruto [[spoiler:as a result of the latter's capture and torture by Mizuki and Akatsuki]], Minato arranges for one perpetrator to get beaten up by Itachi, who already has [[BigBrotherInstinct personal reasons]] to batter the guy. He also pays a personal visit to Mitokado Homura, who was in league with that event, but takes care to hide his true identity and leaves any due violence to [[MamaBear Kushina]]. Then in the twenty-ninth Gaiden, he gets downright ''vicious'' on members of the RoguesGallery [[spoiler:when they plan to shoot up Naruto's wedding]].
* ParentalNeglect: He's been accused five different times of perpetrating this with Naruto. Put it this way: when ''the Prime Minister himself'' calls you out on being a bad parent, you ''know'' you've been a bad parent. Minato, to his credit, doesn't try to deny it.
* ShipperOnDeck: Actively encourages Itachi and Yugito to get together.
* SlasherSmile: Gives '''a positively menacing one''' to members of the RoguesGallery in the twenty-ninth Gaiden [[spoiler:after preventing them from crashing Naruto's wedding]].
* SparedByTheAdaptation
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Han is able to recognize Minato as Naruto's father because of this, the first time they meet.
* TortureTechnician: Want to know how readily he'll do the dirty work in his black-ops job? [[spoiler:He knocks out Temari, then ties her, blindfolded, to her own bed and burns off a part of her hair with a blowtorch, then threatens to [[GroinAttack use said blowtorch on her vagina]] if she doesn't cough up the info he wants]].

!!Uzumaki Karin
Naruto's cousin, and Nagato and Jumira's daughter.
* {{Meganekko}}: Just like in canon, though she doesn't appear (so far) to be a {{Tsundere}} like her canon counterpart.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: Minato notes that she takes after her mother, except Jumira doesn't wear glasses.

!!Uzumaki Nagato
Karin's father, Kushina's older brother and Naruto's maternal uncle.
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: While they're all members of the Uzumaki clan, there's otherwise no direct relation between Nagato and Naruto, Kushina, Mito, or Karin and her mother.
* ObnoxiousInLaws: Not as bad as Mito, but Nagato is coolly formal toward Minato.

!!Uzumaki Jumira
Karin's mother, Nagato's wife and Naruto's aunt by marriage.
* NamedByTheAdaptation: Karin's mother wasn't identified by name in canon.
* RelatedInTheAdaptation: While she would technically be related to Kushina, Mito, Naruto and Nagato in canon by virtue of them being members of the same clan, there wasn't any overt family connection there.
* StrongFamilyResemblance: According to Minato, she's basically an older Karin minus the glasses.

!!Uzumaki Mito
Kushina's older sister and Naruto's maternal aunt, and she's the oldest of the senior Uzumaki siblings.
* AdaptionalVillainy: While she's not a lawbreaker, this version of Mito is significantly more acidic than her canon counterpart, who was a mentor to Kushina and was noted for having compassion.
* AgeLift: In canon, at the time she and Kushina interacted, Mito was an old woman. In this fic, her younger incarnation is the version used as Kushina's sister.
* AloofOlderSibling: Kushina recounts that she and Mito had a rocky relationship growing up, as Mito never approved of anything Kushina ever did.
* CoolCar: She drives a blue Shelby Cobra.
* TheDreaded: Within the Uzumaki/Namikaze family, just the mere mention of the possibility of her coming causes Kushina to [[OhCrap freeze in terror]] and Minato to [[ScrewThisImOuttaHere attempt to flee the premises]]. Keep in mind, both of them are parents to a Kyuushingai, plus Minato's a black-ops agent.
--> '''Minato:''' I'd rather swim with sharks than deal with her!
* InSeriesNickname: Naruto and Karin both refer to her as "the blood-haired bitch," due to her acidic personality.
* LethalChef: In [[SupremeChef Kushina's]] words, Mito is her exact opposite when it comes to the kitchen. According to her, Mito can't tell cinnamon from meat seasoning, and during their school days she almost burned down her school's Home Economics room [[EpicFail while trying to boil water]]. Minato recounts how she nearly killed him with a Christmas cake during a previous visit.
* ObnoxiousInLaws: She and Minato are openly hostile to each other.
* PetTheDog: While Mito's portrayed in this fic as snobbish and disagreeable, Karin's ExactEavesdropping on Nagato's telephone conversation with her prior to the Christmas dinner reveals that, like Nagato, Mito doesn't blame Naruto for the events of the 365 days.

* EveryoneLovesBlondes: She got Minato.

* ActionDad
* SparedByTheAdaptation

!!Kohada
A prostitute who's introduced in the thirty-eighth Gaiden working at Konoha Town's infamous Pudding Place whorehouse.
* BrokenBird: Her backstory was ''not'' kind to her, from her losing her father in the 365 days to her being betrayed into sexual slavery by a friend's boyfriend.
* DefrostingIceQueen: Starts to defrost upon meeting Han, the first man she's interacted with since her journey into prostitution who's interested in helping her without wanting any physical favors in exchange.
* {{Determinator}}: Even after her friend committed suicide to escape their brutal treatment, Kohada herself vowed to carry on in the hope that one day she'd be able to pursue her lifelong dream of journalism, through which she could then tell her story.
* DisappearedDad: Her father was killed by marauding gangsters during the 365 days.
* ForcedToWatch: She was made to watch while her friend was gang-raped as punishment for refusing to pleasure a john, and was threatened with being similarly gang-raped if she tried to look away.
* HookerWithAHeartOfGold: The heart of gold is ''very'' deeply buried due to her experiences leaving her jaded.
* MissingMom: Her mother died from pneumonia complications when Kohada was 11.
* RapeAsBackstory: She and her friend were both subjected to this multiple times during their initial days in sexual captivity by the friend's boyfriend and his friends. The friend was DrivenToSuicide after one particularly vicious gang-bang by the boyfriend and five of his pals, but Kohada swore to continue living on in spite of it all.
* SexAsRiteOfPassage: In her line of work, she has occasionally facilitated this for a few guys who've been honest enough to admit that they've only come to her to silence their friends' taunts that AManIsNotAVirgin; for these guys, she'll willingly go all out to show them the ropes.

The new leader of the Purple Storm Gang after Arashi, introduced in the thirty-fifth Gaiden.
* KnowWhenToFoldEm: He and Nigai concoct a plan for three members of their combined gangs to kidnap Yumi, but upon being informed by them that Naruto and Yurika are in the vicinity, Karyu--rightly suspecting the gangsters won't last against a Kyuushingai and a cop who's likely armed--tells them to come back and that they'll try the kidnapping another time.

!!Nigai
The new leader of the Tiger Dragons after Chi and Yukata, introduced during the thirty-fifth Gaiden.
* AsskickingEqualsAuthority: How he gets the leadership position. It helps that he's far more ruthless than either Chi or Yukata.
* CombatPragmatist: Amply demonstrates that gang-fights aren't about fair play or honor, what with him using a switchblade to turn the tables against Yukata.
* DreadlockWarrior: Like his canon counterpart, he wears his hair in thick dreadlocks. He's also a brutal fighter who's not afraid to throw down with Naruto, a Kyuushingai.
* EvilCounterpart: To Chi. Both of them are Tiger Dragons and both have led the gang, but whereas Chi is cautious, laid-back, and knows when to pick his battles, Nigai is headstrong, proactive, and dead-set on avenging himself and the gang on whoever he perceives as having wronged them. Nigai also derides Chi's leadership style for making the gang appear weak.
--> '''Nigai:''' The Tiger Dragons used to be the baddest gang in Sound City, but ever since Chi took control, what's our record been? We've been reduced to acting like errand boys for a bunch of crazy loons, running from cops, even getting humiliated by a Kyuushingai! Is this what we're supposed to be all about? I say no!
* PetTheDog: Upon wresting the leadership of the gang from Yukata, Nigai's first instruction is for some of the goons to take her to the hospital.
* TheResenter: Despised how, in his view, Chi's leadership style watered down the Tiger Dragons' threat level in Sound City.
* TheStarscream: He had always opposed Chi's leadership of the Tiger Dragons, and opposed Yukata's appointment as interim leader by Chi. The thirty-fifth Gaiden opens with him challenging Yukata for the leadership position and successfully usurping it from her.

telephone. As soon as she's done, she prepares to go right back into the bath.
* BlackAndWhiteMorality: She is firmly of the mindset that Naruto being a Kyuushingai makes him a bad influence for Hokuto, mainly because Whirl City was one of the worst-affected cities during the 365 days. Even before he revealed himself to be a Kyuushingai over the radio, Tsubaki was already of a negative opinion about him due to the incident where he fought the Star-Boys Gang on Uzushio High's grounds and caused significant property damage there, only for him to (in her eyes and the eyes of the rest of Whirl City) become a KarmaHoudini for it.
