* PhysicalGod: While she does get captured on occasion, it should be noted that this only happens when she has her guard down or is caught by surprise. Otherwise, she is among the highest-ranking gods and has no qualms demonstrating her power. Best shown in the Air Battle of Chapter 3 when Pit's fighting Hewdraw; if he takes too long to defeat him, Palutena will summon her "Glam Blaster", a ''[[HolyHandGrenade giant column of light]]'', to ''[[OneHitKill one-shot]]'' it. She also showcases other godly powers throughout the game such as her ''sneeze causing a meteor to change course'' at one point during Chapter 13 or creating an opening through a large storm cloud to get to Phosphora's Thunder Cloud Temple in Chapter 14. Chapter 18 has her telekinetically tossing large pieces of Skyworld itself at Pit. Gets taken to its logical conclusion in Chapter 20, where she serves as the chapter's boss, and if that battle plus her dialogue to Pit in her trailer and guidance for ''Smash Bros.'' is any indication, [[WorfHadTheFlu she may have been in a heavily weakened state]] while she was possessed by the Chaos Kin and [[IAmNotLeftHanded may only have been using]] ''[[IAmNotLeftHanded a fraction of her actual power]]''. Unlike Pit, who has a limited use of them, she can use them as many times as she wants with no limits. Finally, she supercharges the remnants of the Great Sacred Treasure for Pit to fire a massive WaveMotionGun finish Hades' physical form off.

* FanservicePack: During her own short in ''Palutena's Revolting Dinner'', she gets a nice view of herself [[BathtubScene enjoying a hotspring bath]]. Later, her trailer for ''[[VideoGame/SuperSmashBrosforNintendo3DSAndWiiU Smash 3DS/Wii U]]'' shows a pair of [[MaleGaze male gazes]] of her hips and chest, the changes in aesthetics for both this game and ''Ultimate'' accentuate her curves more than in ''Uprising'', and she even gets a taunt in-game where she twirls around her staff, not unlike a pole-dance. Each successive game since ''Brawl'' seems to have pushed her a little bit further into MsFanservice territory, despite not starting out as one.

* FatalFlaw: [[NeverMyFault Arrogance]]. It starts out subtly, until many of the gods point out how her actions to defend her land haven't been scrupulous, such as turning Medusa into a monster and then banishing her to the Underworld, hypocritically pointing out how humans bought Hades' Wish Seed plot easily when she also falls for it, and her, Viridi and Hades leaving so much destruction on their wake during their war. All of these instances finally bite her back ''really hard'' when the Chaos Kin possesses her for three years. Fortunately, she finally [[CharacterDevelopment concedes to her wrongdoing]] in Chapter 22.

* TheGadfly: ''Uprising'' has her messing with Pit a lot ([[CharacterExaggeration especially in the English version]]). Her pranks include teasing Pit with jokes and puns, not warning him when she's going to speed his wings up, squeezing his head by tightening his laurel crown, and so on. Hell, there's a little comic for the post-game option of turning off all dialogue:

* HumblePie: While not the absolute worst of all the gods out there in ''Uprising'' (Medusa and Viridi are [[KillAllHumans bent on human genocide]], Thanatos and Hades are... well... [[MadGod Thanatos]] and [[GodOfEvil Hades]], Pyrrhon has [[SmallNameBigEgo an incredibly inflated ego]], and so on), Palutena is still arrogant to a fault and gets arguably the worst fate of all the gods considering [[AndIMustScream the Chaos Kin possesses her body and almost consumes her soul]]. After this very incident, she's drastically mellowed and concedes to being wrong for contributing to the war.

* KickTheDog: After defeating the Great Reaper, when Pit expresses he is glad he's alive and enjoys his time with Palutena, she dismisses it and tells Pit that he really need to make some friends. * MistressAndServantBoy: Though Pit is the Captain of the Guard, she still has him running her errands as well. Usually PlayedForLaughs.

* PragmaticHero: Late in the story, Viridi points out to Palutena that reviving the dead is seedy business... while dialog between Pit and Magnus several chapters before points out that Palutena's army sees no need to get stronger because Palutena keeps reviving them from death.

* BewareTheNiceOnes: Palutena's one of the more pleasant gods in the game for the most part, and is probably more GenkiGirl than goddess. However, as Medusa can attest to before being banished, as Hewdraw learned the hard way, and as her BossFight shows[[note]]not that [[PintsizedPowerhouse Pit]] doesn't end up "beating" her like everyone else, though[[/note]], if forced to take a more direct approach, she'll happily remind you ''why'' she's the Goddess of Light.

* ClassicalAntiHero: One hell of a [[TheGadfly Gadfly]] towards her most trusted servant, and [[NeverMyFault arrogant]] to a fault, but means well, is benevolent and also pleasant compared to many of the other gods.

* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: She enjoys making a ton of jokes at Pit's expense, but she genuinely cares about him deeply, to MamaBear levels.

** It's not fun being seen by the world as nothing more than Pit's EvilKnockoff and getting slammed with a nickname that is basically an onomatopoeia for "spit".
** Played with in Chapter Six; during the aerial battle segment, Dark Pit is convinced he's the original and wants to kill his "copy" Pit.

* ParodySue: He's an edgy, brooding PaletteSwap of Pit who claims to be his inner darkness personified, has all his powers, and can fly without divine intervention. He has all the makings of a VillainSue from an uninspired fanfic... [[LeaningOnTheFourthWall and the rest of the cast know it]], [[NoRespectGuy and mercilessly mock him for it]]. In part due to how the original Pit is already a {{Cloudcuckoolander}} that [[IncorruptiblePurePureness doesn't have an evil bone in his body]], Dark Pit eventually realizes he isn't actually ''evil'', just slightly more sarcastic than the other characters (which admittedly is [[WorldOfSnark a lot]]), and so he begrudgingly ends up becoming a good guy. [[spoiler:And to add insult to injury, he was only able to fly because Pandora was possessing his wings, so as soon as she ditches him, [[RedemptionDemotion he can't do anything that Pit can't already do]].]]

* BeneathSuspicion: While The Chaos Kin ultimately plans to torment all life, humanity and the forces of the underworld are it's first priority targets, dogs not yet being worth it's time...

* HurtingHero: Heavily implied to be this. He mentions during the fight that his master and all his comrades have long this passed on while he remains, and he admits that their losses tore at him. The only that keeps him going are his steeds, Phos and Lux.
