* LackOfEmpathy: Back as Shadow Sycamore, he showed little sympathy over Lain (his apprentice) ''dying'' to Augustine's hand (who was brainwashed at the time) and stated that he'd just make a new partner. He later admits that he felt horrified at seeing Lain die.

** Given that Marchosias and other demons exist on the Train and Asher's reaction just to seeing her ''seal'' on Chloe's sheath, not to mention that he's actually on good terms with the Goetias, he must've done something that made him terrified of her.
** The last time he revealed that his master (Auric) was really a Goetia, he was forced to dishwashing duty for a month.

* PoorCommunicationKills: Asher knew the ''entire time'' that Buné was his master, Auric '''and''' Yugure which would've saved a ''lot'' of heartbreak in the Harvest Moon Car. He admits that his master is very secretive with his identity and that the last time he uttered it out in the open, he was sent on dishwashing duty.

* HasTwoDaddies: He somehow gains memories of being raised by the Goetias Malphas and Raum...which is coming scenes after Agares specifically stated that Goetias ''can't'' have children...

* MysteriousPast: Kaito said that he used to work for someone named "Pie-sama" who was a supporter of '''Lucifer'''. It's eventually revealed that "Pie-sama" was actually Paimon. The Act 2 Prelude reveals that he was the adopted son of two of the Goetias.

* NoodleIncident: Given that Marchosias and other demons exist on the Train and Asher's reaction just to seeing her ''seal'' on Chloe's sheath, not to mention that he's actually on good terms with the Goetias, he must've done something that made him terrified of her.

* HypocriticalHumor: He'll try to give people nicknames if he can help it, but he won't be happy if somebody ''else'' tries to do the same to him.

* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: He '''hates''' ''Franchise/SilentHill'' after he watched an entire walkthrough of ''VideoGame/SilentHill2'' to the point that he banned his parents from ever buying any of the games. Unfortunately, Alain's in the Infinity Train equivalent of said town and since he never went past ''2'', he won't be prepared for [[VideoGame/SilentHill4 Walter, Henry]] and ''especially'' [[VideoGame/SilentHillHomecoming Alex]], with Chloe's informtion about the latter not helping him in the slightest.

** Upon the reveal that he's a prince, he's a combation of [[LetsPlay/TwitchPlaysPokemonRed Bird Jesus]] and [[LetsPlay/TwitchPlaysPokemon Brian]] from ''LetsPlay/TwitchPlaysPokemon''. For the former, there are denizens who proclaim "PRAISE BIRD JESUS!" and there is a poster that has Asher around bird-headed denizens with the line "Do unto others EXACTLY as they unto you", which was the creed of Bird Jesus using Mirror Move. For the latter, Asher is asking the denizens to not worship him and proclaims he is ''not'' Bird Jesus, just like Brian (who is named after [[Film/MontyPythonsLifeOfBrian another Brian who was thought to be Christ]]) yet no one listens to him.

** Zeno: A sadistic construct who has a tendency for PassThePopcorn while watching people fall into despair. Like Zeno was visible only to Goh (and Parker), Shadow Sycamore is only visible to Sycamore unless in Persona form. In an interesting turn of events, it's Sycamore who helps him get better. They also had a different initial form and "birth" name.

** He detests using the HypnoPendulum cliche for his work. Not because he's against it or anything, but because it's just so unoriginal and boring.

* {{Irony}}: He falls in love with a Mirage Murkrow pet. While the crow symbolism is perfect for a trickster like him, Murkrow are based off witches, reflecting how St. Joan was accused of witchcraft ''and'' Chloe's own association with witches.

* JackassGenie: As [=UnSycamore=], the first two wishes he gives Sara work more like a LiteralGenie, interpretting them in the most straightforward, yet karmic way possible. However, the third wish has him act like this, completely disregarding what Sara wants to instead force her to feel what ''Chloe'' thinks she deserves: a bloody beating for everything that she and the class put on her.
* LackOfEmpathy: Back as Shadow Sycamore, he showed little sympathy over Lain (his apprentice) ''dying'' to Augustine's hand (who was brainwashed at the time) and stated that he'd just make a new partner.

* SpitTake: He does this with ramen when London mentioned that he was teamed up with a White Rabbit.

** In the Palimpsest Car, he has a tendency of mispronouncing it and someone has to correct him. According to the author notes, this stemmed from Spinner herself constantly mistyping it.

* DudeNotFunny: He starts ''laughing'' at the video of the Apex causing the tragedy of the Noir Princess Car. Amelia is quick to punch him for that but he quickly explains that he's laughing not because of how it was horrific but because of the shitty editing that went into it.

** The fact that his demon attire is based on the Ars Goetia demon, Caim, a black thrush, is foreshadowing that he's really a bird-like prince.
** He claims his parents were Malphas and Raum but a few scenes before he said this has Agares reveal that Goetias can't have children. Turns out Raum ''kidnapped him as an egg''.

* WouldHitAGirl: He comes ''this'' close to giving Sara an UndignifiedDeath during his stint as an Unown-Sycamore, only stopping by the arrival of the barista.

** He claims his parents were Malphas and Raum but a few scenes before he said this has Agares reveal that Goetias can't have children. [[spoiler:Turns out Malphas ''kidnapped him as an egg''.]]

* BullyingADragon: Being rude to Sycamore is understandable, given he had just arrived at the Infinity Train and not proven himself to be capable of doing much damage. The same can't be said for his rude behavior towards ''Rimuru'', who's a PersonOfAMassDestruction and the leader of the Car that Vaillant's home is at.

* TheSmartGuy: In terms of puzzles, Yuri excels at these. He's the one who helps figure out Indigo's hint in the Boutique STreet Car.

* NiceJobBreakingItHero: Hey Asher, thanks for summoning Specter to help with Chloe's anger. Good news? Chloe calmed down? Bad news? ''You made Augustine lose all hope in himself''!

* ADogNamedDog: When he was on the train, Kaito called him "Kage", which is "Shadow" in Japanese. Until he becomes Asher he's also primarily known as Sycamore's Shadow, and his main form is that of... Sycamore's Shadow.
