* EngineeredPublicConfession: Amazingly, Thunder Pike does this ''to themselves'' when they confront Clover outside the Endless Dungeon and try to steal their intel and loot under the flimsy excuse that because their teams are allies, the "superior" team is entitled to all of the rewards despite not even stepping into the dungeon. Thunder Pike had a magical camera running the whole time, hoping that either Yoke would submit and Thunder Pike could take credit for their achievements and humiliate their rivals on a live broadcast, or that Simon would goad Yoke into attacking him and appear to be the victim. This almost comes to pass when Simon starts hurling racist and sexist insults at Silk, Yoke's Dark Elf teammate and insinuating Yoke only keeps her around as a sex toy, but Silk calms Yoke with a CooldownHug and tells him to ignore his former teammates. The next day, Thunder Pike learns that their broadcast has caused an international incident with the Elves, utterly destroyed what little standing they had left with the guild, and will result in the revocation of their adventurer licenses, exile from the country, and even their possible ''execution'' for embarrassing the King.

* FaceHeelTurn: While they were never nice people, at the start of the storyline they were a legitimate adventuring party (though mostly because of Yoke's magic and intellect) with many accomplishments. But after Yoke leaves, their fortunes take a turn for the worst very quickly, and their attempts to return to their former glory cause them to commit increasingly evil acts to try to destroy Clover and get revenge on Yoke for "abandoning" them.

* CorruptCorporateExecutive: Veigo and his family spent years trafficking in illegal magic artifacts that were supposed to be turned over to the Adventurer's Guild after quests, but were instead sold for a hefty profit. His providing illegal armour and magical slave collars to Thunder Pike exposes the whole operation, bringing the Salaks and their generations-old merchant house down in a matter of days.

* LuredIntoATrap: After Velgo's connection to Thunder Pike is exposed in the Endless Dungeon, Yoke and Clover set a trap for him by making him think Rain will be home alone, and Velgo eagerly takes the bait to try to kidnap and enslave her.

* DidNotThinkThisThrough: Which the Guild Master calls him out on. He shouts racist and sexist insults against Silk, on camera, intending to provoke Yoke to attack him, so he can call himself the wounded party because Yoke attacked him on camera "unprovoked." First, '''Silk''' holds Yoke back so he doesn't ''rightly'' lash out. Second, Thunder Pike, as part of the rank-up to A-rank, signed a legally binding agreement that their words would carry the weight of the kingdom and bear the support of the king. They needed to be very, very careful what they said. His racist tirade ''ignited an international incident'', and the worst case scenario would have been the '''execution''' of every current member of Thunder Pike to soothe international relations. It was that bad.

** Becomes a literal example after Simon's body is resurrected by a stolen artifact after the orcs tore him to pieces, turning him into a mindless mass of flesh and tentacles powered solely by his jealousy and utter hatred of Yoke.

* GreenEyedMonster: The reason Simon hated Yoke so much was that Yoke managed to be ''happy'' despite being from an unprivileged background and possessing a common class, whereas Simon was from a privileged background and had a rare ''Knight'' class. He found the very idea that Yoke could be successful and content despite his social disadvantages to be offensive.

* TheScapegoat: After Yoke leaves Thunder Pike, she becomes the preferred target of all their blame and ridicule whenever things go wrong for the party.

* BoobsOfSteel: She has the largest chest of the girls in Clover, and is also their strongest physical fighter and acts as the party's tank.

* PeerPressureMakesYouEvil: A flashback while hiding from the orc army reveals that she was pressured into bullying Yoke by the rest of the party because she was afraid they would kick her out if she didn't.

A CatGirl crime slave that is sent to the party Clover to explore TheVeryDefinitelyFinalDungeon as part of her criminal sentence.

* SlaveryIsASpecialKindOfEvil: All his other attempts to go after Rain were just a nuisance to the entirety of Clover, but when this lout hired Thunder Spike to slap Rain with a slavery collar, illegally, in order to not only hold Silk hostage in Eternal Darkness, but so she'd be helpless if he ever commanded her to go with him, Yoke decides this guy has just renounced his right to life and hits him with an unbreakable '''death curse''' where he goes after Rain again, for any reason, he's just going to drop dead on the spot.

* TheyJustDontGetIt: As a result of being married to his own ego, he just can't accept that he's at fault for the bad things that happen to him, the people he abused leaving his party in a rage, and the harm he causes to his party members, fame, and reputation from his total incompetence and laziness, no matter who tells him, how he's told, or even being punched in the face and asked what the hell is wrong with his head. Even the Guild Master calling him an idiot utterly fails to register. [[spoiler: Even after '''the dungeon itself''' attacks Thunder Pike and it brings both parties into the Orc base, he '''[[DefiantToTheEnd still tries to go after Yoke]]''' and [[TooDumbToLive that]] led to the death of Thunder Pike.]]

* LethallyStupid: As a direct result of refusing to ever listen to Yoke, or any other supporter he hires to handle party logistics, he repeatedly puts ''everyone'' in mortal danger on a repeated basis. Because he utterly refuses to believe he can somehow be at fault, he never corrects his behavior, even if he's called out on it in public. Lastly, he uses invisibility cloaks of dubious legality, acquired from a butt-hurt noble who has designs on Rain, to sneak past the guards at the entrance to the dungeon Yoke is exploring and interrupts the exploration at the worst possible time, holding Clover at sword point, when they desperately need to escape to deliver a warning that the dungeon is about to stampede, and refuses to believe it, insisting on forcing Yoke to sign a magical contract that would make lies true, to steal accomplishments he knows aren't his. Naturally karma's finally had enough and comes for him, for real, and there's nobody that can help him or his party at that point.

* WhatAnIdiot: When he hears Thunder Pike's pathetic attempts to justify their behaviour towards Yoke and Clover, he openly wonders how a bunch of idiots like them could ever rise to A-rank.

* HowTheMightyHaveFallen: Over the course of the storyline, they go from being one of the top-ranked, most famous adventuring parties in the world, to international pariahs who are rightly seen as utter failures by the rest of the world.

* RemovingTheCrucialTeammate: PlayedWith, in that Yoke removed himself from the party due to their constantly exploiting and mocking him for being TheLoad, rather than be kicked out. When he formally quits the team, the other members simply laugh at him and claim he'll be begging to be let back into Thunder Pike in a matter of days. However, that doesn't happen when Yoke joins Clover, and suddenly Thunder Pike find themselves unable to conquer even medium-level dungeons without Yoke's support magic enhancing their abilities, his generous supply of potions to heal and replenish their mana, and his knowledge of dungeons, monsters, cooking, and basic strategy. When they attempt to replace Yoke with new hires, they learn that not only can the newbies not match Yoke's skill level, but none of them have his patience for Thunder Pike's idiocy and arrogance, and the replacements quit after a day or two.

* PsycopathicManchild: The longer the storyline goes on and the worse his fortunes become, the more he behaves like a complete spoiled brat, especially whenever Yoke refuses to do what he wants and serve under him again, causing Simon to throw very public and pathetic temper tantrums when refused. His anger at Yoke quickly becomes murderous, culminating in Simon and Thunder Pike attempting to enslave and murder the members of Clover for daring to fight back against them.

* AssholeVictim: The ultimate fate of the party (except for Julie) being ripped to pieces (or worse for the two women) by Orcs, while horrific, it's very hard to sympathize with them.

* EntitledToHaveYou: Of the exploitive "friend" variety. Even after Yoke quit the party in a rage, Simon honestly believed he could boss Yoke around, sending a magical summon to "recruit" him back to the party, after learning Yoke's the leader of Clover. Yoke lampshades that this is a criminal act. When Yoke replies with a "no," he goes apoplectic and instantly challenges Yoke in public, right in the guild. Yoke responds with a scathing, but calm, TheReasonYouSuckSpeech, and the rest of the guild responds with mockery to which he can't retaliate because he can't see the source even though he can hear it. He storms out of the guild swearing vengeance. What's worse, after threatening Clover and Yoke himself, as Yoke and party teleport away from the battalion of orcs, he has the gall to be shocked that Yoke doesn't see him as a friend per the magical terms of the [Escape] scroll, just before orcs grab him and literally tear him apart.

* DiggingYourselfDeeper: All of their attempts to replace Yoke or force him back into the party publicly blow up in their face, gradually destroying their reputation and careers as adventurers.
