!!Gohma
An ancient arachnid species that thrives in swamps and otherwise dark and damp places. They feast on all manner of both living and dead things and are known for hunting down unaware people in the night. All Gohma are mentally linked to each other, and that calling any lone Gohma an individual would be inaccurate.

The Gohma's power was granted by Sulkaris, the Fallen Sage, who spread across Hyrule, defiling all those that followed the Goddesses until their defeat at the hand of King Gustaf in 5000 BG.
----
[[folder:General]]
* AttackAnimal: Most Gohma qualify, having little independent intelligence and only minimal (though often brutal) instinct to guide them.
* BlueAndOrangeMorality: Unlike the other 'evil' factions in Hyrule, the Gohma are not driven by greed, bloodlust or warped good intentions. Their morality is more similar to the ones of a virus or a bug colony. To them all non-Gohma beings have to be either assimilated into the Hive Mind or being devoured.
* BugWar: The Gohma's wars with the Kokiri and Hylians.
* DefeatEqualsExplosion: When killed, an Acid Sprayer violently explodes and burns everything around itself.
* ExtremeOmnivore: The Gohma are willing to eat nearly anything.
* EyeBeams: Armogohma shoot fire from their eyes at enemies.
* FourLeggedInsect: Pincergohma, Gohma Long-Legs, Viridgohma and Shroud Walkers are the only aversions. Other Gohma either have four, five, six or ten limbs.
* GiantMook: Shroud Walkers, literally mobile hive nodes.
* GiantSpider: Gohma larvae (let alone bigger units like Armogohma and Shroud Walkers) are far bigger than a normal spider should be.
* GlassCannon: Acid Sprayers and Hive Spawners are capable of causing grievous harm from afar with their acid and larvae, respectively, but are unwieldy and frail in a melee.
* GoForTheEye: All Gohma have the weakness of having giant eyes that are the principal target for enemies. In the cases of heavily-armored Gohma such as Shield Gohmas and Armogohma, the eye is pretty much the only target.
* GoThroughMe: The Shield Gohma, whose main role is to protect an advancing army from enemy arrow fire with their large armoured claw.
* GrievousHarmWithABody: Hive Spawners fling sterile larvae at enemies.
* HiveCasteSystem: Different types of Gohma are selectively bred in specialised breeding facilities, and each fulfil a distinct role in the Gohma army.
* HiveMind: Originally under Iemanis, and later hijacked by Sulkaris long after the former's destruction. Subverted that Iemanis never truly died and even assimilated Sulkaris into the Gohma.
* HordeOfAlienLocusts: The Gohma initially weren't like this under Iemanis, but Sulkaris plays this trope straight: they are a bunch of spiders spawned by an alien EldritchAbomination, and their gameplay is extremely aggressive, revolving on non-stop conquest with no option for diplomacy.
* InsectoidAliens: Or rather Arachnid Aliens, these spider-like creatures were originally spawned by an alien.
* KingMook: The Gohma Matriarch.
* LovecraftianSuperpower: The Armogohma can generate fire from their eyes and shoot it at enemies, while Acid Sprayers are able to spray poison from their abdomen.
* MiniMook: The Gohma were originally created by Iemanis as smaller incarnations of itself.
* MotherOfAThousandYoung: Gohma Queens. A single Queen could lay hundreds of eggs in a single day.
* OminousFog: Shroud Walkers can create a thick cloud of fog around themselves that hurt the morale of enemies caught in it.
* PowerCrystal: All Gohma can be upgraded with Viridian crystals all over their body. They can also launch them at enemies.
* SicklyGreenGlow: With their 2nd armour upgrade, all Gohma have a faint green glow.
* SpidersAreScary: After Iemanis' death, the Gohma are more concerned with eating more than anything else; and Sulkaris' influence certainly didn't help it.
* SpiderSwarm: A HordeOfAlienLocusts where the locusts in question are spiders.
* StoneWall: Shield Gohma and Shroud Walkers. Neither are particularly heavily armed, but with the Shield Gohma's shield-like claw and the Shroud Walker's huge size, both will take a fair amount of firepower to bring down.
* SwampsAreEvil: The Gohma's homeland is the Misery Mire, a swamp located to the northwest of Hyrule.
* WallCrawl: Gohma can use webbing to crawl over fortifications.
* WeHaveReserves: Gohma are individually weak, extremely numerous and can be very easily replaced. Taken to extremes by Hive Keepers, Gohma queens who literally use their larvae as ammunition.
* ZergRush: Gohma tactics revolve around swarming with an overwhelming number of spiders.

[[folder:Sulkaris]]
Sulkaris once served as a First Sage, a guardian of the Triforce and the world of Hyrule from the corruption of demons and other malevolent beings. Sometime early in her existence she deemed it necessary to take the Triforce into her own hands and assume control of Hyrule. She was stopped by her fellow First Sages, stripped of her powers, and banished to Hyrule forever.\\\

Or so the legend said. In truth, Sulkaris was the only of the First Sages that stayed loyal to her duties and tried to prevent her siblings from getting the Triforce. After making a pact with Majora, the other First Sages defeat Sulkaris and strip of her powers. Afterwards, they banished her to Hyrule and rewrote history so that Sulkaris would be branded as a villain, earning the title 'The Fallen Sage', while the rest of the First Sages were revered.\\\

Later, Sulkaris finds the Gohma and turn them into her army aimed to destroy her traitorous siblings. She proceeded to wage war against the many nations of Hyrule, eventually being slain by King Gustaf. Sulkaris had far more planned, however. After her fall, she came across the Gohma and discovered a way to unite them all under her influence. Now all Gohma exist as extensions of her will, and so long as they live she can endlessly respawn until her mission is fulfilled.
----
* ActuallyADoombot: All the Sulkaris that get killed in the story are simply bodies that are based on Sulkaris' form that Iemanis use as an avatars. Since Sulkaris got assimilated, the Gohma can recreate her body as many times as they want.
* AdaptationalBadass: Compared to her appearance in Undyingnephalim's earlier fangames, her appearance in Hyrule Conquest is one of a [[TheChessmaster Chessmaster]] that used others to reach her goals, and a nigh-unstoppable killing machine capable of single-handedly destroying entire armies with brute strength alone. Which is ironic considering that she lacks her counterpat's magical powers.
* AdaptationalHeroism: Unlike her depiction as a power-hungry villain in Undyingnephalim's earlier fangames, in ''Hyrule Conquest'', Sulkaris is presented as a WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds, with both a FreudianExcuse that gives her reasonable motivations to what she does and HiddenDepths that make a sympathetic hero turned monster.
* AdaptationalKarma:
** In 'Fallen Sage', Sulkaris, despite having her plans foiled more than once, manages to take Iemanis, who was slain, as the new Hive Mind that commands the Gohma. While the Gohmas' main Hive gets destroyed, the Gohma as a species manage to survive, and thus Sulkaris survives.
** In 'Hyrule Conquest', Sulkaris gets assimilated by Iemanis while trying to use the Gohma to get revenge on her siblings. Therefore, the Sulkaris that acts as a villain is not really her, but rather an avatar used by Iemanis to fool Hyrule in believing that she is the one in charge of the Gohma, while he has his own secret agenda. When Hylia kills Iemanis, who had fused all of the Gohma to recreate his body, so does all the lingering parts of Sulkaris.
* TheAgeless: Even moreso than the other First Sages, as she will exist so long as even a single Gohma lives.
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: The only First Sage that stayed loyal to the duties the Goddesses gave them and defended the Triforce from the others that both attempted to take it and fought against each other. After a while, the other First Sages join forces and defeated her just to get rid of an obstacle to power out of a sense of pride and entitlement.
* AmbitionIsEvil: Subverted. According to Hylian history, she sought to claim the Triforce as her own, when in truth she was the only First Sage ''not'' to do so.
* AndIMustScream: If the parts of Sulkaris that survived being assimilated by the Gohma have managed to keep some semblance of self-awareness, this most likely is what they would feel while being inside the Gohma Hive Mind. Hylia finishing off Iemanis and thus extinguishing the Gohma would feel to Sulkaris like MercyKill.
* AntiVillain: Type II. Sulkaris was the only First Sage that stayed loyal to both the Goddesses and the duty of protecting both the Triforce and Hyrule. Her siblings, however, had no interest in it and used the Triforce for their own ends and rewrote history to brand Sulkaris as the only evil First Sage. Later, she attempts to use the Gohma to set things right, but the Gohma God Iemanis instead takes control over her and uses her body, knowledge and goal for his agenda of assimilating everything on Hyrule.
* AsLongAsThereIsEvil: Sulkaris' mind inadvertently become the de facto source code of the Will of the Gohma, meaning as long as even a single Gohma lives, she exists. Later however, it turns out that Sulkaris was the one that got assimilated. While the Gohma do have parts of Sulkaris inside them, their will is stronger than hers.
* ArchEnemy: She and the other First Sages share this to each other.
* ArcVillainess: The main villainess of 'The Return of Sulkaris' arc. Until Iemanis shows to be [[TheManBehindTheMan real mastermind]].
* ArmorIsUseless: Her armor is mostly for decoration and serves no real purpose. [[MadeOfIron Not that Sulkaris really needs it]].
* AssimilationBackfire:
** According to WordOfGod, the imprinting of Sulkaris' mind into the Will of the Gohma has resulted in a negative synthesis for both parties- while Sulkaris was originally a well-intentioned being that valued the lives of Mortals and only sought to expose the crimes of her Siblings, her merger with the Will has slowly led to her being motivated by the same drive to dominate and survive that formed Iemanis.
** Ultimately, Sulkaris' imprinting led to the Gohmas' defeat. When presented with the options of either attacking Demoko and Liyer, and thus obtaining the Medallion of Time, or Demoko being forced to reveal the truth behind the First Sages' crimes in exchange of letting his apprentice go, Sulkaris' desire to get justice overpowers the Gohmas' desire to consume and she keeps her word. This not only allows the Medallion to escape from within her grasp, as Liyer had the Medallion, but gave time for the Oocca to destroy the Aura, the weapon perfect to cleanse Hyrule of all non-Gohma.
* BadassBoast:
** After [[spoiler: killing Malkobargia, the First Sage of Water]], Sulkaris goes to the top of Greshou Library and looks to the sky knowing that [[spoiler:Demoko was watching]].
-->''Your move.''
** After [[spoiler: returning from the dead by using Agitha's body]], she gives a big one:
-->''So long as the Gohma are, I endure. But certainly you knew this when word of my previous return reached you. I am the Gohma, and they are me! And now I will have the key to the Triforce, the Aura itself! I will use your power to wipe the surface of Hyrule clean! None will remember the Goddesses or the countless people of Hyrule! History will not tell of the Oocca or those of ancient Akkala that stood against me! But most of all, none will remember you, my brother!''
* BadassCape: Once was a bright gold and green, per her angelic role, but over the millenia has been reduced to a tattered, dull green rag.
* BadBoss: Sees all life as merely tools to further her goals. Views the Gohma merely as limbs of her Will, and remorselesly sacrifices Agitha to rebuild a new body, and attempts to [[YouHaveOutlivedYourUsefulness kill Mido]] once he cannot aid her plans.
* BatmanGambit: Take advantage of Demoko's fear of his lies being exposed to lure him into directly intervening and earning the hatred of Hyrule's mortals.
* BestServedCold: It took thousands of years, but Sulkaris managed to get her revenge over all those that had crossed her: her siblings, the First Sages, who betrayed their duties, banished her and demonized her and the Huskus, her own servants who sided with the other First Sages over her.
* {{BFS}}: Wields a gargantuan machete of similar power to the Master Sword.
* BlackEyesOfCrazy: Her sclerae are black.
* BroughtDownToBadass: The Sages lured her away from the Gohma in order to defeat her. Even without the Sage Medallions and her Gohma, Sulkaris is more than capable of fighting four Sages, Lyier and Link by herself and nearly win.
* CainAndAbel: Despises and is in turn is despised by her First Sage siblings.
* CameBackWrong: Her merging her mind with the Gohma Hive Mind led to the terrible side effects of gaining the Gohmas' desire to consume and dominate everything, while losing any nobility and goodness she once had.
* TheChessmaster: Her war against the First Sages has this in spades.[[spoiler: Her first target is Lanayru Province, a strong potential enemy of the Gohma and the location of Malkorbagia. She sends Agitha on an attack in order to temporarily distract Hyrule while she searchs for the Water Sage. After she kills her, she anticipates Demoko will use the Aura in an attempt to destroy her at all costs, and utilizes the power of the Sage of Water to survive the blast. She then travels to Death Mountain and uses the Medallion of Water to kill Maphaeus and lure the other three Fist Sages, Kovaloo, Evaleen and Solahrasin, out of hiding, so they'll be unintentionally kiled by Demoko's scorched earth tactics. She lets herself be killed so that the rest of Hyrule would now focus on Demoko and ally with her Gohma. After securing a gateway to the Sky City, Sulkaris regains her physical form and plans to take the Aura and wipe out Hyrule of all non-Gohma. For real, the only reason why her plan failed was because Link went to the Sky City and gave Demoko the idea of destroying the Aura.]]
* ConflictKiller: A both straight and inverted example. Sulkaris staged the war between Hyrule and the Oocca, but after she faked her death and making it look like the Oocca have become the true threat. When the mortals and the Oocca realize that Sulkaris never truly died, they had no problem in putting aside their differences and join forces.
* DarkMessiah: Agitha sees her as this, believing that she could create a world free of suffering.
* TheDarkSideWillMakeYouForget: Not so much the Dark Side, but more having everything that defines you (body, mind, powers and memories) being assimilated into the HiveMind of a race of insect-like creatures that seek to kill and consume everything on Hyrule and being used for their own schemes.
* DeadAllAlong: Confirmed by WordOfGod that the current Sulkaris is more like lingering parts of the Sage Sulkaris that survived the assimilation of the Gohma. The true Sulkaris died the moment the Gohma Hive Mind assimilated her.
* DeathByAdaptation: In Undyingnephalim's earlier fangames, despite being defeated, Sulkaris manages to survive as she succeeded in replacing Iemanis as the Will of the Gohma, and thus will live on as long the Gohma survive. In Hyrule Conquest however, with her being assimilated into the Gohma Hive Mind, aka Iemanis, that gets killed in the final part of the storyline, alongside all the Gohma, she is permanently killed.
* DemotedToDragon: When at first it was assumed she was the BigBad since she appeared to be the HiveMind of the Gohma, the truth is that she merely became part of the Gohma and thus a pawn to Iemanis.
* DidNotSeeThatComing: [[spoiler: Knowing Demoko's arrogance and obsession with power, she never anticipated him to be willing to destroy the Aura and sacrifice himself to stop her.]]
* DiplomaticImpunity: Averted. When the armies of Hyrule march towards the Gohma Hives, she attempts to parley. The King of Hyrule procceeds to throw a spear right at her mouth.
* DiscOneFinalBoss: The forces of Hyrule assumed that victory would be achieved after killing her. That is until Iemanis uses her to create a new body for himself.
* DramaticIrony: She was the only First Sage to stay faithful to the Goddesses but her actions led to Hyrule discarding the worship of the Goddesses in favor of Hylia.
* TheDreaded: To her siblings, to the point of Demoko firing a FantasticNuke more than once just to attempt to kill her. Also to the mortals, as they would rather face a nigh-endless horde of Gohma without having to face her as well.
* EvilCostumeSwitch: Back when she was good, her cape was bright green and her armor was golden and shiny. Centuries later, her cape turns into a darker green and her armor becomes rusty. This also applies to her physical appearence as her eyes turn from [[InnocentBlueEyes blue]] to [[YellowEyesOfSneakiness yellow]] and her sclerae turn [[BlackEyesOfCrazy black]].
* EvilIsBigger: Like all First Sages, she towers above mortal men. Even [[TheBigGuy Darunia]] barely comes up to her waist.
* EvilIsNotAToy: Sulkaris attempted to use the Gohma to set things right. If only she knew the repurcossions...
* EvilLaugh: She delivers a pretty chilling laugh twice.
* EvilMatriarch: The Will of the Gohma, and a nasty mass murderer. [[spoiler: In truth she was never the will of the Gohma.]]
* FaceHeelTurn: Subverted in the sense she was the only Sage to ''not'' be a manipulative bastard. Later played straight as her merger with the Will of the Gohma leads her to be as bad or worse than her kin.
* FallenAngel: Subverted in that she was the only of the First Sages to remain true to her purpose, and was cast out for her loyalty to the Goddesses.
* FatalFlaw: Wrath or, to be more precise, her [[RevengeBeforeReason thirst for revenge]]. After being banished by her siblings and labelled as a villain, she was so consumed by the desire to destroy them that she attempted to turn the Gohma into her army by attempting to become their Hive Mind, without taking into consideration the possibility of getting corrupted. While she ultimately managed to accomplish her goals, the Gohma corruption turned her into [[SheWhoFightsMonsters something far worse than even her siblings]].
* FlawedPrototype: Part of her HiddenDepths: She sees both herself and the other First Sages as this since they couldn't even work together despite the fact they were siblings, while the current Sages could work together despite being of different races.
* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: She was the only responsible among the First Sages, while the others practically started fullfilling their own agendas after the Goddesses left Hyrule.
* ForcedIntoEvil: Her assimilation into the Gohma Hive Mind had her free-will erased and her body and mind became pawns to Iemanis.
* FreudianExcuse: Sulkaris was the only First Sage that not only stayed loyal to her duties but even cared about mortals. Then her siblings betrayed their duties, made pacts with demons and end up not only stripping her of her powers and banishing her, but even rewriting history to demonize her, making her be feared and hated by the very mortals she once stood up for. After who knows how long, she gets so fed up that she attempts to use the Gohma as a weapon to both get revenge and set things right, but instead gets corrupted by them.
* FreudianSlip: One of the things that made Demoko realize the truth that Sulkaris was no longer herself was that her occasionaly saying that her goal was to devour everything on Hyrule. He points it out that this has always been the Gohmas' goal, not hers.
* GeniusBruiser: She is a terrifying mix of having insane physical durability and strength, as she is nigh unstoppable in combat, and being quite a [[TheChessmaster Chessmaster]] that nearly accomplished all of her goals without nearly any setbacks. The main reason the Gohma became as intelligent as they are is because they assimilated her.
* GoneHorriblyRight: She wanted to use the Gohma to get revenge on the other First Sages and to reveal the truth of their betrayal. Her goal is accomplished, yes, but at the cost of entire cities and civilizations being killed and consumed.
* GreenThumb: Sulkaris was tasked with regulating and protecting the development of life on Hyrule. She cannot directly create life, but can reshape it at a whim.
* TheHeavy: After Ganondorf and Vaati are out of the picture, Sulkaris begins cutting to the meat of the plot and is the most visible villain, contrasting Majora's manipulation from behind the scenes.
* HeroKiller: Has arguably the largest body count of named characters in the mod. She also nearly managed to kill [[TheHero Link]] twice but fails due to intervention of others.
* HiddenDepths:
** Expresses envy and admiration for the successor Sages, for their ability to cooperate despite their different races and ideologies, and laments her kin's inability to work together.
** She later tells Link that she and the other First Sages have envied the mortals, as they keep living on through their bloodlines.
* HijackingCthulhu: Subverted. After finding the Gohma, Sulkaris believed that they were wild animals, after the death of their creator Iemanis, and attempts to replace him as the Will of the Gohma in order to have an army aimed at defeating the other First Sages. She was unaware that all Gohma were extensions of Iemanis' Will, and her attempts to become the Hive Mind ended up with her being assimilated into the Hive Mind instead.
* HiveQueen: Her Mind has synthesized with the Will of Iemanis, making her the Hive Mind of the Gohma. According to WordOfGod, the originaly Sulkaris may even long dead and the Will of the Gohma is merely a backup of her mind. [[spoiler: It is confirmed later by Demoko that Iemanis is using Sulkaris' form to disguise himself.]]
* HistoricalVillainUpgrade: After being overthrown and exiled by her kin, she was painted as a power-hungry traitor by the Church of the Goddesses and Hylian histories. [[SelfFulfillingProphecy This was what triggered her becoming the villain others believed she was.]]
* HunterOfHerOwnKind: Her primary goal is to kill all the other First Sages.
* IAmAMonster: Sulkaris seems to be aware that she has [[SheWhoFightsMonsters become like, or even worse, than her siblings]], but sees it as the [[TakesOneToKillOne only way to manage to destroy them]].
-->'''Sulkaris:''' ''It takes a monster to destroy one!''
* IGaveMyWord: She allows Lyier and the Oocca to leave Sky City unharmed after she made a deal with Demoko. Note taht she could have had ordered the Gohma to kill everyone on Sky City without Demoko realizing it.
* {{Jerkass}}: Her merging with the Will of the Gohma has led to the decay of the ethic once held by Sulkaris as it is replaced by the Gohma's ruthless instinct to survive and dominate all life.
* TheJuggernaut: Pretty much an AdvancingBossOfDoom - she relentlessly bears down on foes in combat and is virtually impervious to conventional harm, only able to have her body destroyed by magical weaponry such as light arrows and the Master Sword. The [[spoiler:confrontation in Castle Town]] looks more like a ''VideoGame/DarkSouls'' boss than anything resembling a fair fight, where the simple act of running causes as many soldiers to go flying as it does rubble.
* KickTheDog:
** When Tamako asks her to remember the Huskus for fighting her to the bitter end, she coldly replies that the word Huskus will not exist her her new world and snaps the Huskus Empress' neck.
** When she defeats Ruto, she commends her determination... and then says that she putted a better fight than her mother.
* KickTheSonOfABitch: Normally, someone that [[SiblingMurder kills his own siblings]] is seen as a despicable person, but considering the kind of people the other First Sages were, no tears were shed when Sulkaris killed them. Hell, if Sulkaris had managed to reveal the truth of their treachery and kill them all without having succumbed to Iemanis' Will and killed thousands of innocents, the rest of Hyrule would have most likely hailed Sulkaris as a heroine.
* LackOfEmpathy: Averted at first, as Demoko states that Sulkaris used to stood up for the mortals of Hyrule, unlike the rest of her kind. Her merger with the Gohma Hive Mind has led her to view all life as a tool to be used to further her goals.
* LargeAndInCharge: Appears as a gigantic Hylian woman, standing at least 15 feet tall.
* LastOfHerKind: She is the last First Sage to die, though is later revealed that Sulkaris was DeadAllAlong, so she was the first to die in reality.
* MadeOfIron: Is capable of shrugging off most conventional weaponry without a scratch, and was able to survive the fall of Demoko's palace and return to fighting almost immediately.
* MakingASplash: She gains control over water after retrieving the Medallion of Water from the watery remnants of Malkorbagia.
* MesACrowd: In the final mission, Iemanis spawn several clones of her, [[IAmLegion all speaking like one individual]].
* MouthOfSauron: The current Sulkaris is actually the avatar used by Iemanis to serve as the face of the Gohma, something both Demoko and Liyer realize. Iemanis only reveals himself after all the clones of Sulkaris have been defeated and the Gohmas' defeat seems imminent.
* NatureSpirit: Was tasked with managing and protecting the development of life.
* NeckLift: It is very often of her to do this. And then perform NeckSnap if the victim's fate is to be killed.
* NoSympathy: [[spoiler: Even after the revelation that she turned out the way she is now because of the other First Sages' betrayal, she receives no sympathy in-universe and her enemies prefer to side with her siblings over her. Justified, as she was the one responsible for the slaughter of thousands of innocent people, while most of the other First Sages' crimes occured thousands of years ago and Demoko's attacks only happened because of Sulkaris.]]
* OffWithHerHead: How Link kills the body that used Agitha as sacrifice.
* OneWingedAngel: Out of desperation, Iemanis uses her powers to merge every Gohma organism into a reconstruction of his body.
* OneWomanArmy: Sulkaris is more than capable of practically beating dozens of foes all by herself and even Sages.
* ParentalSubstitute: Im a twisted way, Agitha views Sulkaris as her mother after the death of her real parents in the Gerudo Wars. This relationship is entirely one-sided.
* PersonalityPowers: Played wit: As Sage of Forests, Sulkaris was originally a compassionate and noble being, however, after being betrayed by her siblings and merging with the Will of Iemanis, she is consumed by a ruthless drive to survive and dominate at all costs, with no regard for the lives of other beings.
* PosthumousCharacter: Confirmed by WordOfGod that the true Sulkaris has died long ago, but parts of her personality, including her desire to get revenge on the First Sages, have reshaped the Gohma.
* PowerCopying: Upon stealing the Sage Medallions from her slain siblings, she effectively becomes the Sage of Water, Fire, Light, Shadows, and Spirits, rendering the successor Sages powerless.
* ThePowerOfHate: Great part of Sulkaris' personality got erased after she was assimilated by the Gohma, but her hatred of her siblings is the main trait that not only persisted but even influenced the Gohma the most. Her hatred towards the Huskus, her servants that betrayed her over the other First Sages, also persisted as they were her primary target before she started focusing on the First Sages.
* PyrrhicVictory: By the end of her arc, Sulkaris manages, after thousands of years, to take revenge on the other First Sages for them betraying her and painting her as a villain and reveal the truth behind their betrayal. However, to do this, she had to merge her mind to a HiveMind of an EldritchAbomination, which led to her losing most of, if not all, her former good and selfless personality and becoming a cold and ruthless being that sough to consume all of Hyrule. By the hands of both herself and her followers hundreds if not thousands died, most of them innocents; Greshou, Death Mountain, Sky City and most of the Kokiri Forest and Lanaryu lie in ruins and the Huskus are all but extinct. Basically her quest for revenge led her to become similar or even worse than her traitorous siblings and history will certainly remind her, not as a FallenHeroine, but simply a mass murderer consumed by revenge.
* RageAgainstTheHeavens: Her primary goal is to expose the lies that her siblings made, which included branding her as a villain while claiming to be heroes. and destroy them.
* SealedEvilInACan: After her failed invasion of the Kokiri Forest, Sulkaris is sealed in Palagard's Sanctuary and kept under watch by her successor Palagard. Subverted, that she, or at least, a part of her resides on every Gohma.
* SplitPersonalityMerge: Her fusion with the Gohma Hive Mind led to the change of both her and the Gohma. The Gohma became more intelligent and gained her hatred of the other First Sages. However, Sulkaris ended up having most of her former kind and noble personality being both erased and replaced by the Gohmas' desire to consume and devour everything on Hyrule. While there are still traces of the genuine Sulkaris, shown by the HiddenDepths above, she has pretty much become a pawn for Iemanis' Will.
* StatuesqueStunner: While she is clearly gigantic in terms of size, her appearence is of a beautiful woman.
* StealthInsult: A case where an insult hides an even bigger insult. When seeing the status of the Huskus, Sulkaris says to the Huskus Empress Tamako that Valadeku, the legendary Huskus that slew Iemanis, would be ashamed. The bigger insult lies in the fact that Sulkaris, unlike the Huskus and the rest of Hyrule, knows that it was Majora who slew Iemanis and Valadeku was a fictional being fabricated by the other First Sages to hide the truth.
* ThanatosGambit: The second time Demoko resorts to the Aura to kill her, Sulkaris deliberately stands in the blast and lets it destroy her body, in order to prove to the world that she can't be killed and to temporarily remove herself as the main threat.
* TimeAbyss: Sulkaris has been around since Hyrule was first created.
* TheVillainWins: Succeeds in revealing her kin as lying monsters and destroying them, but is prevented from obtaining the Aura and Triforce and remaking Hyrule to her Will. [[spoiler: Considering that only the first two goals were truly hers and not result of Gohma corruption, she did actually manage to achieve all of her goals.]]
* TokenGoodTeammate: Of the First Sages, at least originally.
* TragicVillain: Was originally a noble being that sought to uphold the laws of the Goddesses, and for this was betrayed and cast out by her siblings that painted themselves as heroes while making her the villain. She tries to use the Gohma to reveal the truth, but she instead gets assimilated and Iemanis uses her as his avatar. Even after the Gohma get defeated, very few figure out that Sulkaris has been, pretty much, dead all along so Hyrule still sees her as a villain.
* UnwittingPawn: [[spoiler: The Gohma used her noble goal for their own agenda, while Majora used her to both kill the other First Sages and to get rid of the Gohma..]]
* VillainDecay: Downplayed. While Sulkaris never stops being a threat in her tenure as an ArcVillainess, her motivations for doing so are [[spoiler:fulfilled before the end of the arc. Her thirst for justice and revenge against the First Sages are the only things that survived her assimilation into the Gohma, and once this has been fulfilled, she essentially becomes just Iemanis' puppet and mouthpiece]].
* VillainRespect: She admires how the current Sages are capable of trusting each other and working together, which makes her sad that she and the other First Sages were incapable of such despite being siblings.
* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: Originally was dedicated to uholding the laws of the Goddesses, even as her siblings fought each other for rule of Hyrule, and was subsequently [[NoGoodDeedGoesUnpunished betrayed, defeated and banished by the other First Sages when she tried to defend the Triforce]] and painted as the one who betrayed the others and sought the Triforce for herself. Consumed by revenge, she gets assimilated to the Gohmas' Hive Mind that drains her of her former benevolent personality and turns her into a being without any kind of empathy and goodness.
* YellowEyesOfSneakiness: After she turns evil.

Mido had long served as the head Chief of the Kokiri villages. After a long series of disappointments and a drive for more than he was given, Mido was seduced by a promise of power from Sulkaris. He eventually betrayed the Kokiri and was exiled. While under the watch of the Great Deku Tree, Mido was somewhat of a bully and insecure of himself despite the privilege he had at his fingertips. He harboured a lust for Saria for many years, though the Great Deku Tree forbade such attachments.\\\

To this day he blames the outcome of his life on the Great Deku Tree, whom he plot to take revenge upon. Luckily for him, his wish coincides with Sulkaris, who also seeks the destruction of the forest guardian.
----
* AdaptationalVillainy: The [[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaOcarinaOfTime original Mido]] was no more than an arrogant jerk, but in Hyrule: Total War he is a clear-cut bad guy.
* AmbitionIsEvil: Mido betrays the Kokiri for being entertained by the idea of ruling over the entire forest.
* BeingEvilSucks: He at first aids Sulkaris hoping to become the king of the Kokiri Forest. After being exiled, he aids the Gohma in return of getting revenge on the Deku Tree. After getting it, Mido starts slowly regretting his past decisions, though he stays at Sulkaris' side mostly out of fear of being consumed. By the time the Gohma reach the Sky City, Mido attempts to convince Agitha to escape with him, but is saddened to both see her reject his offer and being consumed in order to ressurect Sulkaris. Finnaly defecting the Gohma, he decides to aid Hyrule, but under the promise of being pardoned and gets arrested after his part of the deal was done.
* BladeOnAStick: Before his betrayal, Mido wields a Kokiri sword. He later switches to a bigger spear stolen from a Hylian soldier eaten by the Gohma.
* CoDragons: With Agitha to Sulkaris. However, unlike his comrade, Mido comes to regret serving the Gohma.
* DisneyVillainDeath: [[spoiler: Once Sulkaris regains her body, she no longer sees him as useful and Mido falls overhwelmed by Gohma. Subverted that he manages to survive.]]
* EvenEvilHasLovedOnes: He greatly cares for Agitha. [[spoiler:He is thus horrified when she is sacrificed to bring Sulkaris back.]]
* EvilFormerFriend: To all other Kokiri.
* TheExile: For his betrayal, Mido is exiled from the Kokiri Forest.
* FaceHeelTurn: His betrayal of his people to Sulkaris.
* HeelFaceDoorSlam: [[spoiler: He is killed by Sulkaris shortly after starting to regret his decision to join her. Subverted that he doesn't die. He attempts this later by helping the armies of Hyrule reaching the Gohma bases, but is arrested by the Gorons once they reach it, since he has done too much to be forgiven.]]
* InTheHood: Mido sports a hood once he leaves the forest and ages into an adult.
* LaserGuidedKarma: After first betraying the Kokiri and then attempting to desert the Gohma, he finds himself betrayed when the armies of Hyrule proceed to arrest him after he guided them to the Gohma Hives, despite them having an agreement he would be forgiven.
* TheMillstone: Mido lies to Sulkaris that the next Sage of Forest is Mirora instead of Saria. During her invasion Sulkaris kills and absorbs Mirora, reconstructing her body and becoming alive again, but does not regain her Sage powers, and she is swiftly broken and killed by the Great Deku Tree. Had Mido told the truth, things might have been much worse.
* PetTheDog: He seems to have a VillainousFriendship with Agitha. After her capture, he seems upset that Sulkaris will not even bother rescuing her, despite Agitha being truly loyal to the cause and the one behind Sulkaris' release. [[spoiler: He also pleads Agitha to flee with him from the Gohma and is horrified when she dies.]]
* TheResenter: Against his own people, until his betrayal.
* RewardedAsATraitorDeserves: [[spoiler:Despite having an agreement to guide the Alliance through Misery Mire in exchange for a full pardon, the decision is made to give Mido a taste of his own medicine and arrest him anyway.]]
* TalkingIsAFreeAction: [[spoiler: Defied against Kasuto. When he's explaining to Mido that he was only trying to keep his children safe, Mido simply orders the Armogohma to open fire on his father.]]
* TokenEvilTeammate: Zigzagged. While Sulkaris sought to use the Gohma to punish the other First Sages for them betraying everything they were supposed to stood up for and branding her as a villain and Agitha wanted to create a world where no children would have to suffer like she did, Mido joined the Gohma firstly to gain control of the Kokiri Forest and later for revenge against the Deku Tree. Ironically, while his motives were the most selfish and least sympathetic, Mido is the only of the three that comes to regret aiding the Gohma, though it is later confirmed that Sulkaris basically lost her own sense of self after the Gohma assimilated her and Agitha was so brainwashed that most likely the very idea of leaving the Gohma would be impossible.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Agitha]]
As a child, Agitha was fond of insects and arachnids and would often collect them within the basement of her house to occupy her time while her parents were gone. When the Gerudo Wars claimed the lives of her parents, a Gohma that she had in her possession made a then-defeated Sulkaris aware of her trauma. She took advantage of Agitha's grief, tricking the young girl into becoming a pawn of the Gohma. Agitha is completely out of step with reality, the trauma of her missing parent coloring her view of the world. She sees the will of the Gohma as the only means to solve Hyrule's problems, in particular that of loneliness. She sees Sulkaris as a mother figure, perhaps filling the void her own parents left.

----
* AdaptationalVillainy: In ''[[VideoGame/TheLegendOfZeldaTwilightPrincess Twilight Princess]]'' Agitha was only an insect-obsessed young girl, but here she's a minion of the Gohma.
* AffablyEvil: While she serves the Gohma, Agitha is not a bad person, at least compared to other villains.
* AlasPoorVillain: [[spoiler: When Mido attempts to convince her to flee with him, she refuses, stating that she has come too far and her sacrifice would create a world without suffering, leaving a saddened Mido behind. Before becoming a sacrifice, she repeats the same words her mother had told her when she gave her a parasol, right before dropping it. Her death is truly gruesome to the point of shocking Liyer, Link, Ooccoo and Mido.]]
* AllForNothing: For all her devotion to the Gohmas' cause, to them she was merely an ambassador and a means to recreate Sulkaris' body. The Sulkaris she was so devoted to didn't even exist in the first place, as it was simply an avatar used by Iemanis.
* AntiVillain: A very sympathetic girl that tried to cope the loss of her parents by socializing with the Gohma. She later, either due to Gohma corruption or a very warped desire to prevent others from suffering as she did, comes to believe that a world consumed by the Gohma will be a world free of suffering.
* CoDragons: With Mido to Sulkaris.
* CreepyChild: She is a thirty-year-old woman who looks like a deformed child with a chitinous skin, she has a telepathic link with Sulkaris and serves as her mouth, she believes that Sulkaris will usher in an era of unity and peace for all species, even as she acknowledges that she and all non-Gohma organisms will be consumed upon Sulkaris' victory. She fits the bill all right.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: [[spoiler: Her death is clearly NightmareFuel material. Her flesh is removed from her body in order to create a new body for Sulkaris, while she screams. All those who witnessed it are truly horrified.]]
* TheDitz
* FreudianExcuse: Her parents died during the Gerudo Wars. As an attempt to cope with their loss, she starts creating a bug kingdom in her house, and one of said bugs was a Gohma Queen. This gives the Gohma Hive Mind the opportunity to prey on her trauma and make her believe that the Gohma could create a world where no other children would have to suffer like she did. Decades later, Agitha is so brainwashed that she opposes the concept of separate minds.
* GirlishPigtails: Which can be seen on her hair.
* InsaneTrollLogic: She follows the Gohma because she believes that they will create a world where no children will have to suffer like she did. This sounds noble, until you realize the obvious fact that the Gohma seek to devour all lifeforms different from them, meaning that there will be no children in the first place.
* MouthOfSauron: Agitha serves as the emissary of the Gohma and has a telepathical link with Sulkaris. When Sulkaris is temporarily bodiless, Agitha serves as her mouthpiece to speak to [[spoiler:the Hylians, Gorons and Zora]].
* MurderIsTheBestSolution: What she believes.
* OlderThanTheyLook: Her time with the Gohma seems to have stunted Agitha's growth. Despite being in her early thirties, she still looks like a child.
* OrphansOrdeal: She has not taken well to her parents' death in the Gerudo Wars.
* PointyEars: Being a Hylian, her eyes are pointed.
* SenselessSacrifice: [[spoiler:She is sacrificed to create a new body for Sulkaris, a body that is destroyed hours later.]]
* SicklyGreenGlow: On her face and limbs.
* TragicKeepsake: She always walks around with a parasol her mother gave her before dying. When she was about to become a sacrifice for Sulkaris' resurrection she lets the wind take it.
* VillainHasAPoint: When Liyer attempts to dissuade the armies of Hyrule from allying with the Gohma, Agitha retorts that it wasn't the Gohma who started the whole mess. Seeing that Demoko, Liyer's master, who not only brought the Gohma into the world but even turned Sulkaris into the monster known as the Fallen Sage, she is absolutely right.
* WasOnceAMan: Or girl, in this case. Her time with the Gohma has significantly changed her.
* WellIntentionedExtremist: She seems to believe that a world ruled by the Gohma will be wonderful.

Perhaps one of the oldest races native to the Gerudo Desert, the Zuna are an isolated culture of reptilian builders and weapon crafters. Though they seem fairly cordial with the Darknut Legion, the Zuna will rarely make contact with any other empire or race outside of weapon dealings. The skill with which the Zuna make their weapons is legendary, so legendary that the Darknut Legion employs them to create incredibly ornate swords for their soldiers. Despite their famous profession, the Zuna rarely ever engage in warfare and their public army usually only operates out of defense.

!!Subrosians
The mysterious Subrosians are native to subterranean Holodrum, where they continue to tap into the active lava beds of that region for extraordinarily rare ores and metal alloys. Subrosian mining is so efficient that it even rivals that of the Gorons despite their smaller stature and abilities. Despite the potential wealth the Subrosians could make by trading these metals with their neighbours, the Subrosians remain very secretive and zealously isolated from outside influence. They prefer to remain underground, only coming to the surface if valuable ores have been found higher up.

!!Huskus
The ancient insectoid Huskus once had an empire that spanned the entire Kokiri Forest until the Gohma of the Misery Mire swept across Hyrule centuries past and initiated a genocidal war against them. Eventually the natives of Hyrule pushed the Gohma back to their swamps, but at that point the once proud Huskus Empire was in ruins with only a handful of survivors. Over the centuries they have slowly rebuilt their society deep in the Kokiri Forest, where they have chosen to worship the ancient Sage Palagard. The Huskus refuse contact with outsiders, and while they never seem willing to go out of their way to attack anyone, they are not above decapitating an innocent person who happened to wander into their territory.
----
[[folder:General]]
* BigCreepyCrawlies: They're quadrupedal mantises that tower over most people.
* DramaticIrony: More than once, they stood in the Fallen Sage Sulkaris' way, even keeping her imprisoned once. They are completely unaware that their race was created to serve Sulkaris, just like the Ooocca's relationship with Demoko, and that the main reason they oppose her is due to the other First Sages rewriting history and painting Sulkaris as the villain.
* {{Egopolis}}: Palagard's Sanctuary is named after the second Sage of Forest.
* FourLeggedInsect: The Huskus only stand on four of their six limbs.
* HiddenElfVillage: Palagard's Sanctuary, a hidden city in the forest whose location is known to only a few people.
* HiveCasteSystem: All Huskus castes are different morphologically and serve different purposes in society.
* InsectoidAliens: They are a race of insects not native to Hyrule.
* OriginalCharacter: Their species as a whole. They were originally created by Undying Nephalim years ago for a ''TabletopGame/DungeonsAndDragons'' roleplay.
* ShockAndAwe: Members of the Thunder Caste can fire lightning bolts from their hands.
* VestigialEmpire: Their empire, formerly stretching throughout the entire Kokiri Forest, now only consists of their capital city.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Palagard]]
The immediate successor of the title of Forest Sage after Sulkaris, Palagard is ancient and is likely the oldest Sage still active in Hyrule. After his people were nearly destroyed, he passed on his title and devoted himself to guarding the Huskus and ensuring a being like Sulkaris would never threaten them again. He has long served as an adviser to the various rulers of the Huskus, and often serves as a lead general when military action is required.
----
* CreepyGood: Palagard doesn't look much like a good guy, being a giant, quadrupedal insect with evil-looking GlowingEyes.
* GreenThumb: Palagard has some power over the natural forces of the forest.
* HeroAntagonist: Palagard commands the Huskus army against the player-controlled Gohma in mission 34.
* ImmortalityInducer: Sagehood is like this: sages don't age until they choose a successor; from that time they slowly lose their powers and continue to age again.

!!Tokay
The primitive Tokay are native to the lush Crescent island, just south of Labrynna. They are a culturally awkward peoples with many customs considered odd by many. Rank and stature in their society is usually determined by absurdly simple materials rather than skill: a Tokay that has a shirt with short sleeves is considered more important and superior than a Tokay that has a shirt with no sleeves for instance. This has made the Tokay extremely easy to manipulate and dupe out of their untapped resources by more civilized cultures. So naive and lost to their little reality are the Tokay that they often willingly let themselves become slaves to others, thinking that the outfit and food provided to them makes them better than their brothers.
----

!!Horonians
The natives of Horon are a fairly simple people whose origin remains unknown. Some believe they were Labrynnians that migrated north some time in the distant path, while more grounded theories claim that they are descendants of the ancient Tarminians that once worshipped the Forests north of their current villages. Indeed evidence of this connection is apparent in their religious worship of the four seasons and nature rather than supernatural deities that dominate the faiths of western cultures. Regardless of their past, the Horonians are a very peaceful people willing to open up and associate with anyone willing to return the favour.

!!Silent Army
[[folder:Solahrasin]]
The First Sage of Light, Solahrasin was considered the Goddesses' best work and without any of the flaws of the six other sages. He was made specifically with the intent to lead the other Sages and entire armies against the many beings that had interfered with the creation of the Hyrule, notably the Druthulidi. He successfully lead assaults against and destroyed many of the Druthulidi, even confronting Majora and subduing it.\\\

When Sulkaris rebelled against the Goddesses and tried to take the Triforce for herself, Solahrasin stopped her and banished her to Hyrule. When the Trilith awoke into Hyrule, Solahrasin, five of the other Sages, and the three Oracles passed the Triforce unto them and placed it in their care. His work complete, Solahrasin gathered his army and created the Silent Realm, a place hidden from sight through the bending of light where he and his forces could rest until the end of time.
----
* AdaptationalVillainy: In Undyingnephalim's first games, there are no mentions about Solahrasin being evil. Plus, the fact that he banished Sulkaris after she attempted to claim the Triforce implies that even if he has turned evil, he was at least once benevolent, which is more that can be said about his version in 'Hyrule Conquest'.
* AssholeVictim: With the reveal of the First Sages' crimes, him being baited by Sulkaris and being killed by the Aura comes off as downright karma.
* AwesomenessIsVolatile: Solahrasin can easily blind anyone who looked upon him too long.
* CarryABigStick: Solahrasin wields a giant mace to crush his enemies.
* DroppedABridgeOnHim: He gets killed in the same Hyrule Historia he appears, without counting flashbacks, and gets killed by Demoko's Aura without even delievering a single phrase.
* FlatCharacter: Implied; it is possible Solahrasin was either devoid of free will or his conviction to his cause and purpose was very powerful. Subverted that he was as selfish and arrogant as the other First Sages.
* FourStarBadass: Solahrasin was made to lead other Sages and entire armies against the Druthulidi.
* LargeAndInCharge: Solahrasin is huge, towering over his armies. To put it in perspective, Sulkaris, that is 15 feet tall, can't even seem to reach his waist.
* LightEmUp: Being the Sage of Light, this is expected.
* LightIsNotGood: [[spoiler:Solahrasin isn't the flawless paragon that the Oocca wants people to believe. He was just as much of a dick as the rest of the First Sages, despised mortals and fought his siblings over the Triforce.]]
* ShoutOut: The author explicitly compared Solahrasin to ComicBook/JudgeDredd.
* SuperPrototype: The Goddesses consider Solahrasin their best work and without any of the flaws of the six other sages. Subverted, that he was just as flawed as the other First Sages.

* EvilIsNotAToy: The Bonemold Monks attempt to use the Eclipse as tools. It doesn't end well for them.

!!Oshus Empire
The magic proficient Oshus Empire is two of the extinct empires in the Great Sea. Long ago, manipulated by Bellum, they got into a conflict with the other two great empires, the Lokomo and the Cobble Kingdom. All three sides were provided with military and economic aid by Bellum until the Lokomo and the Oshus Empire discovered they were being played and immediately withdrew all support from Bellum. The Cobble Kingdom took full advantage of Bellum's aid and dominated most of the land and sea north of Hyrule. With victory in Bellum's grasp, King Oshus turned to a last desperate measure; he created an army of unstoppable Phantom Knights. The Phantoms succeeded in repelling Bellum's armies, but then went haywire and exterminated the Lokomo and the Oshus Empire.

The last ruler of the Oshus Empire, King Oshus ruled in the titanic war between his people, the Lokomo and the Cobble Kingdom. After the Oshunites stopped accepting Bellum's aid, they were quickly overrun by the Cobble who took full advantage of this. His people facing the threat of extinction, King Oshus engineered an unstoppable army of Phantom Knights. While they succeeded, the Phantom Army went out of control and exterminated the Lokomo, Cobble Kingdom, and the last of the Ocean King's people.

* KingMook: The Gohma Matriarch.

* AdaptationalKarma:
* AssimilationBackfire:
* BadassBoast:
** After [[spoiler: killing Malkobargia, the First Sage of Water]], Sulkaris goes to the top of Greshou Library and looks to the sky knowing that [[spoiler:Demoko was watching]].
-->''Your move.''
* HiddenDepths:
* KickTheDog:

[[folder:Mido]]

* TheDitz
* MurderIsTheBestSolution: What she believes.

!!Phantom Army
The only remnants of the great Oshus Empire, the Phantom Army was unleashed upon the Great Sea as a last means to hold Bellum at bay. While they succeeded, the Phantom Army went out of control and exterminated the Lokomo, Cobble Kingdom, and the last of the Ocean King's people. They protect the ruined cities and temples once devoted to the aquatic deity even long after his people have faded.

* BigBad: They replace Majora as the main villains of the Twili arc.
* TheBlank: The Eclipse have no facial features at all, only a symbol on their face that resembles the Mirror of Twilight.

!Others

* AdaptationalKarma:

Sometime early in her existence she deemed it necessary to take the Triforce into her own hands and assume control of Hyrule. She was stopped by her fellow First Sages, stripped of her powers, and banished to Hyrule forever.

Or so the legend said. In truth, Sulkaris was the only of the First Sages that stayed loyal to her duties and tried to prevent her siblings from getting the Triforce. After making a pact with Majora, the other First Sages defeat Sulkaris and strip of her powers. Despite the potential wealth the Subrosians could make by trading these metals with their neighbours, the Subrosians remain very secretive and zealously isolated from outside influence. They prefer to remain underground, only coming to the surface if valuable ores have been found higher up.

* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: The only First Sage that stayed loyal to the duties the Goddesses gave them and defended the Triforce from the others that both attempted to take it and fought against each other. After a while, the other First Sages join forces and defeat her.

Later, she attempts to use the Gohma to set things right, but the Gohma God Iemanis instead takes control over her and uses her body, knowledge and goal for his goal of assimilating everything on Hyrule.

* ArmorIsUseless: Her armor is mostly for decoration and serves no real purpose. [[MadeOfIron Not that Sulkaris really needs it]].

* BroughtDownToBadass: The Sages lured her away from the Gohma in order to defeat her. Even without the Sage Medallions and her Gohma, Sulkaris is more than capable of fighting four Sages, Lyier and Link by herself and nearly win.

* EvilIsNotAToy: Sulkaris attempted to use the Gohma to set things right. If only she knew the repurcossions...

* FoolishSiblingResponsibleSibling: She was the only responsible among the First Sages, while the others practically started fullfilling their own agendas after the Goddesses left Hyrule.

* AndIMustScream: If the parts of Sulkaris that survived being assimilated by the Gohma have managed to keep some semblance of self-awareness, this most likely is what they would feel while being inside the Gohma Hive Mind.
