Chapter Chiyou reveals that a part of her is alive inside of the beast, with (at least part of) her consciousness lying inside the Xuanyuan Sword. Her body, however, is still [[WhoWantsToLiveForever alive]], [[AndIMustScream awake]], and [[GoMadFromTheIsolation has been very, very lonely for eons]], eventually becoming mad and nihilistic, with her body and blade tainted with darkness: Dark Jixuanyuan.\\

She's featured as 3 stigmata sets: normal Jixuanyuan, Jixuanyuan: Aqua (event only), and Dark Jixuanyuan. Her weapon(s) can also be acquired for Himeko, with the normal Xuanyuan Sword restricted to gacha while the dark version is available in Sakura Samsara's shop (with enough materials). The latter is also the end boss of "Chapter Chiyou" and "The Forgotten" (Fu Hua's side story), and one of the bosses of the Matrix Space Raid stages.

Sakura is the shrine maiden of the Yae Village, born centuries in the past. Her sister ended up being sacrificed in one of the village’s rituals, causing her to bear great hatred and bitterness towards the villagers. Afterwards, she found Kallen Kaslana wounded near her village, with the two eventually forming an intimate relationship. Despite her friendship −and eventually love− with Kallen, she still felt hatred towards her village, eventually becoming possessed by the Honkai box that Kallen carried and becoming a pseudo-Herrscher. She was defeated and sealed up by Kallen, and for years afterward, she existed in a "stigmata world" where she was forced to relieve her dark past countless times, until the events of Sakura Samsara finally broke her free from the loop as the Honkai beast inside the box was slain. She later manifests in the real world by borrowing Mei's body.\\

While at first she was a dutiful warrior, over time [[DefectorFromDecadence she questioned Schicksal's policies and methods, and ended up running away from them]] while taking their "Honkai box" with her, ending with her being lost in Yae Sakura's village. Sakura rescued her, and from there the two shared a bond over their similar circumstances; however, Sakura's resentment caused her to be possessed by the Honkai Beast inside said box, and she would've gone through with destroying her village had Kallen not sealed her away. She was then found by Schicksal's agents and carried back to Europe to be executed for her rebellion, but Otto released multiple Honkai Beasts upon the city as a distraction so the two could run away. Kallen, though, cared more about the people and decided to protect them and fight the beasts instead, which ended in her death.\\

No, we're not kidding. Media and backstories related to Post-Honkai Odyssey reveal that beyond the Honkai, extraterrestrial forces exist, and they either watch over us, or are planning to invade our system.

* HurtingHero: Back in life, after a series of events, she pondered on the struggles she has faced and realized "why the Kaslanas always walked alone".

* BladeOnAStick: She has a special "black spear" (implied to be Black Orchid, one of the Divine Keys) that emits strange black vapor that allows her strikes to cause painful wounds.

* BladeOnAStick: Asuka wields a miniature replica of the Lance of Longinus in battle. On human-sized opponents, she can impale and throw them around just like Durandal does.
